27/01/2026: Dinner at this restaurant was truly an experience! From the welcome to the moment we left, everyone was friendly, informative, and above all highly professional. Our waiter carefully explained each course, and the sommelier guided us through the wines. We opted for the chef’s tasting menu at €200 per person, including wine pairing. It consisted of seven amuse-bouches, five courses, a dessert, and five types of petit fours. Every single dish was outstanding — the entire menu played on the taste buds like a philharmonic orchestra. Particularly unforgettable were the pecorino ice cream served with thin sheets of pane carasau, and the coralli pasta with mushrooms, miso sauce, and truffle — such an intense umami experience. All the wines were excellent and very well paired. We left absolutely full, but completely satisfied.

12/11/2025: Delicious food, an elegant yet cozy atmosphere in a historic thermal bath converted by the owner himself. Very friendly and attentive service; the owner speaks several languages ​​(Italian, German, English, French) fluently. I felt very comfortable and enjoyed the excellent food; I will definitely return on my next visit to Tivoli!

18/01/2026: Very kind, welcoming, and attentive staff. Good, high-quality ingredients, but the problem is the dough. Burnt pizza and raw, soggy dough, both for the pizza and the fried balls. You're forced to eat the pizza with a knife and fork because it's all soggy and wet (and I didn't even put mozzarella on it). Prices are fair. The place is run-down. The mozzarella in carrozza made with sandwich bread wasn't great. The supplì was good but not exceptional. I don't think I'll be back, but it's a shame because they're so nice.

18/12/2025: I've been to this place, it was delicious! I was greeted by a bald guy who was truly welcoming and kind. He showed me to my table, showed me the menu, and recommended a few dishes, which I ultimately chose. I can say I made a wonderful discovery about the food, and best of all, he paired it with a bottle of wine that perfectly complemented all the dishes my partner and I ordered! I recommend this place to anyone who finds themselves in the center of Rome!

We were greeted with a smile and a... welcome, they explained the menu, asked if everything was okay, and guided us through lunch... which may seem obvious, but they aren't. Traditional cuisine prepared with care. I rediscovered the flavors of grandma's cooking with the oxtail meatball, which I recommend. The desserts are also good. Excellent value for money. I recommend it. Well done.

29/01/2026: We chose this restaurant because of its proximity to the Colosseum and based on its Google rating, and we didn't regret it. It's a classic Italian restaurant. The tables are small and wooden, and you sit very close to each other. I can't criticize that, as almost all restaurants in the area are like that. We went around 6 PM without a reservation and had no problems. They offer pasta, meat dishes, and salads. Since we don't eat pork, we chose the Margherita pizza, tuna pizza, and cheese ravioli. All three were delicious and filling. The staff were very friendly and humorous. In August, the bill for three people was around 45 euros (we don't drink alcohol).

01/01/2026: A wonderful discovery. We spent the evening of December 31st with them, choosing the New Year's Eve menu. A gourmet restaurant, with innovative cuisine yet respectful of tradition and the local area; you can feel the chef's touch, his origins and roots. The extensive and refined cellar is lovingly managed by the very kind Francesco, who took care of us with every choice and selection of wines. I feel it was a culinary journey from start to finish, something original that you're unlikely to find in the area. For those who love resourcefulness, authenticity, and boldness... I highly recommend stopping by! Compliments to all the super-prepared and loving staff.

01/01/2026: We booked Taverna Angelica for dinner on New Year’s Eve, after reading the good reviews online. Whilst the food was delicious, overall the experience was disappointing. 1. We arrived early for our 8pm booking and were greeted by grumpy older gentleman who took us to our table. There were no other diners at this time in the main restraint (7.35pm) but we were taken through the front area of the restaurant and seated on a table for two close to the kitchen in what felt like a private dining area for a large party. 2. Next to us was a table of about 20 people, so we felt like we were gate crashing their dinner. As such, there wasn’t a great atmosphere. It would have been nicer to sit with the other tables for two in the front area. 2. We had a decent Negroni cocktail on arrival, which was well mixed. 3. The New Year’s Eve tasting menu was delicious, with some very creative dishes. We particularly liked the duck and beetroot pithivier, and pork belly appetiser. Full marks to the chef! 4. The wine flights were rather disappointing and unimaginative, and there were only four, which we thought was a bit light for a menu with seven courses plus snacks. A champagne, a Gewürztraminer, a forgettable red, and finally a Montepulciano, which was a bit rough. There is no option here to give a score out of 5 for the wines, but I would say 2/5. 5. Once the table of 20 left (around 10pm) we felt quite isolated in the big room next to the empty table. There was just no atmosphere. 6. From about 10pm onwards the staff were less attentive, even though we had told them (because they asked) that we were not planning to stay until midnight to see in the new year at the restaurant. 7. When we left, we were barely acknowledged by two out of the three staff (the older gentleman and the lady) and briefly by the sommelier. So would we eat here again? Probably not on the basis that Rome has so many other restaurants to enjoy, and we were disappointed. When you book a fine dining experience with a tasting menu, you expect a lot more than decent food, especially on New Year’s Eve when you are paying over €400.

31/01/2026: The care put into both the food and the service really stood out. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, like it came straight from the farm. The staff treated us so warmly, it felt like we’d been coming there for years.

31/01/2026: Inspired by the excellent reviews, we decided to celebrate my husband's birthday at this restaurant. The only way to book was through the website, where they require advance payment (we opted for the €110 per person deal for six courses plus wine pairing), but we later understood why. Once we arrived, we realized the place was absolutely subpar, with a bad smell and inadequate bathrooms. But let's move on to the menu: bombastic, pretentious, and with unpleasant flavors, a "I'd like to but I can't" attitude, accompanied by subpar wines for each course (we looked up the labels online). Incredulous, we reached dessert, which we left untouched, and we left disappointed, realizing that most of the positive reviews are fake. One last point: the photos on the website are misleading and completely out of line with reality. Our only regret is that the waitress was helpful, however.
