Il Gabriello In Roma

Amazing experience. A must do when in Rome. The squid ink spaghetti was unique and lovely.

We discovered Il Gabriello during our holiday in Rome after hearing about it in one of Pasta Queen's videos, and it completely exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in, we knew we had found something special. The restaurant's underground, cellar-like setting creates a beautiful atmosphere—quiet, elegant, relaxing, and with a luxurious feel that makes you want to stay for hours. We started with the Scottata di Mazzancolle al Timo and the Calamaro Rosticciato con Caponatina, accompanied by an excellent bottle of white wine from the Lazio region. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the wine, but it paired perfectly with the food. The dishes were so incredibly delicious—and beautifully presented—that we simply had to order more. Every plate looked like it belonged in a fine dining restaurant. We then enjoyed the Costolette di Agnello Presale a Scottadito, the Filetto di Manzo al Pepe Verde, and a side of Patate al Forno. Every single dish was cooked to perfection, full of flavour, and presented with exceptional attention to detail. What made the evening even more memorable was the outstanding service. Every member of the staff was genuinely warm, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel comfortable from start to finish. Il Gabriello was without a doubt one of the highlights of our trip to Rome. If you're looking for authentic Italian cuisine elevated by fine dining presentation, outstanding service, and a wonderful atmosphere, this place is an absolute must-visit. We will definitely be back the next time we're in Rome.

I really liked ricotta cheese. Others were average except the fish dish wad good. Don’t order beef dish as it’s over cooked. The service was great so I tipped in addition.

I wouldn't go back and I wouldn't recommend it! The main courses were delicious, but the appetizers were tiny and the service was poor. I've been to much better restaurants for less than half the price.

Always a highlight of our time in Rome. Not just presentation...the meals are done to perfection ! Service is superior. Always busy yet atmosphere remains conducive to conversation. Reservation a MUST. On the higher end budget wise but worth every lira. Thank you Il Gabriello

Possibly my favorite meal while visiting Rome. They accommodated us even though they were not yet open. Amazing meal and experience!
