02/09/2025: The first and second courses are varied and always delicious. The Mille Foglie Scomposte (a traditional pasta dish) is always a must, and the wine list is excellent! Excellent! A must-try!

08/09/2025: We had lunch at Trattoria Oppici, and as always, everything went perfectly. The appetizers were high-quality and very generous. The gnocco fritto was delicious and light. The dishes and desserts were very carefully prepared. The wine list was impressive and certainly unmatched by other restaurants in the area.

03/09/2025: This was a really mixed experience. Lows: - My pregnant wife being served raw then undercooked langoustine successively. (It was a dish served undercooked but the waiter recommended it as an option reassuring us that they could modify the recipe to cook the langoustine through. My impression was that the chefs did not agree and stubbonly refused to cook the shellfish to a temperature suitable for a pregnant woman!) - Very strong flavour contrasts which mostly didn't work. (Mackerel with onion chutney, scorpion fish with a highly pungent bisque sauce, squid with an intense sabzi-esque dried spinach sauce, grouper with a fancy version of hoi sin sauce.) Really intense flavours which totally overwhelmed the fish. I wonder if perhaps the chef doesnt actually like fish? Certainly they are not interested in maximising the flavour of the fish served, but masking it with intense sauces. Or maybe the chef is a heavy smoker? And has lost the subtler parts of their palette. Regardless - most of the dishes, while interesting, were not actually nice or enjoyable to eat. - The price. The price undoubtedly reflects the considerable effort put into this food. But it feels more like a work in progress menu. Paying such a high price (€100 pp) stings when you don't really enjoy the majority of what you are eating. - Tiny amount of fish on each dish. (Except for the cerviche appetiser which was very generous). Highs: - The waiter was lovely and attentive. - The decor is beautiful and really imaginatively done - The wine is excellent and the waiter recommended great wines to go with the fish. - The first amuse bouche and the last (a selection of tiny pattiserie to be eaten in a specific order) were really outstanding and delicious. - The gurnard cerviche with grapefruit juice was the one time when the intense flavour contrasts worked brilliantly. It was  impressive and delicious. Overall, if you have money to burn and you want a bit of an adventure, then maybe this will be fun. But if you want to to guarentee enjoying everything - go somewhere more affordable which cooks things more simply and traditionally in a way which emphasises the flavour profile of the fish and almost certainly gives you more than a mouthful of fish per course!

09/09/2025: A very elegant venue with super friendly and professional staff. We opted for the "Del nostro territorio" tasting menu, with wine pairings for each course. All the dishes were beautifully plated, and the wine pairings were top-notch, with detailed explanations. Highly recommended.

30/08/2025: We dined on an August evening in the outdoor area. The salmon appetizer was very good. For the main course, the sliced ​​beef was very tender. The dessert, a "frozen" cream on dark chocolate, rounded off an excellent dinner. The service was good, and the price was in line with the offerings. It's a shame about the plastic table and chairs, which didn't live up to the food and service.

01/10/2025: After many years, it was a pleasure to return to this lovely restaurant, one of the best in Ferrara for the quality of its dishes and the excellent service. The menu ranges from meat to fish, with the right ingredients for both first and second courses to satisfy all palates. The wine list is also good. Well done, and keep up the good work, and I recommend it to everyone.

The raw vegetable platter is fresh and well presented, with ice cubes underneath to guarantee freshness. A warm place where you can eat really well, to recommend without hesitation!

03/10/2025: - We ordered two appetizers, two main courses, and a bottle of wine; - 15 minutes after receiving the appetizers, which were barely touched, the two plates arrived, before the bottle of wine; - I mentioned to the waiter that it was too early, he went back to the kitchen and came back with the plates to tell me they couldn't be kept; - I refused the plates, and another member of staff intervened to resolve the situation; - I had ordered a medium-well-cooked beef tagliata; I had to return the plate because it wasn't cooked. Conclusion: mediocre service and food. The value for money is not there...

18/09/2025: I visited this place with a group of friends. Let's start with the fact that the service is meticulously cared for by the owner, who is very friendly and takes great care and passion in explaining each dish they serve. We took his advice, and for an appetizer he recommended fried mushrooms with turmeric mayonnaise, which, needless to say, were AMAZING. The mayonnaise helps offset the slight flavor of the fried mushrooms, which are so light and delicate that they blend perfectly with the mayonnaise. Then we continued with a first course. I was persuaded to order tagliolini with mushrooms. I was very hesitant because I'm not usually a fan of them, but these were DELICIOUS. Handmade tagliolini made that day and a mushroom sauce that had an incredible aroma. To finish, a lovely dessert, of which there's always room. The price isn't excessive, around €50 per person. Obviously, if you want to add a good bottle of wine, you'll spend a little more, but it's worth it. I always recommend booking because the place is ALWAYS FULL. They also accept dogs and are treated with special care. Another important thing is that the cleanliness is impeccable.
