17/12/2025: The restaurant, at least in winter (it was late November 2025), isn't large (I don't know if they can set up tables outside in the warmer months), but the setting is pleasant and the atmosphere is very quiet and relaxed, with subtle background music. The food is excellent (my partner and I had creamed cod crostini, tagliatelle with duck in foil, beef fillet with herb butter and seasonal vegetables, and for dessert, I think, a crumble). The portions were adequate, and the wine was also quality. What was truly extraordinary was the service: we were assisted by two young women, both impeccable, friendly, and extremely attentive. The menu states to ask about allergies or intolerances. This isn't just an empty expression: my partner is forced to follow a very complicated diet, and first the assistant, then the chef's partner, eagerly inquired about the restrictions, demonstrating inventiveness and flexibility in adapting the menu to our needs where possible. And after lunch, even though it was closing time, the chef's partner came to chat amiably with us at the table, without giving the slightest impression of being rushed or annoyed. A true example of culinary skill and hospitality.

22/10/2025: Highly recommended for traditional cuisine and pizza, and for the friendly and helpful staff. A group of friends and I have now become our go-to place for fun and spicy evenings. 🌶🌶🌶 Must try the pizza spietata 😀🫢and of course everything else. 👍

08/10/2025: Wed night, arrived at 8pm, no reservation. They very nicely found us a table for 2. The steak was great, ditto side of roast potatoes. There are very few vegetarian options. A couple of side dishes and a few pizza choices. My phone app said the sound was 68-74db's (quite loud) during our meal. The creme caramel was bland but the terimisu was delightful.

We even had the pleasure of a brief visit from the kitchen staff, who took the time to explain more about the food. It's a highly recommended spot to enjoy a fantastic time, surrounded by many locals, which adds to the special, almost family-like atmosphere. A truly memorable experience.

22/09/2025: We were there a week ago and had a wonderful time. The terrace overlooking the sea is priceless, and we enjoyed a breathtaking sunset. The service was attentive. After a selection of appetizers (delicious stuffed mussels, marinated anchovies and mussels, and the classic Apulian bruschetta with cherry tomatoes and burrata), the truly knowledgeable waiter suggested an off-menu dish that we agreed to try: excellent orecchiette with clams, Foresta Umbra clams, and bottarga. Delicious. The price was proportionate to the ingredients, the kitchen's skill, and the location. WELL DONE. Highly recommended.

13/07/2025: A few months later (we were there in March), I'm leaving a review because I found the photos in the gallery. It was a Saturday and there were only four tables occupied. The place is pleasant, not too chaotic, and the menu is certainly not predictable. The service is attentive, perhaps even a little too attentive. We were served by a very knowledgeable young man, but I find it unnecessary to rush to refill the glass as soon as you see an empty water glass, because if the other diners are talking, it can be annoying. The wine was excellent, and you could sense the attention to detail in the menu. The fregola was good, but we were expecting a classic fregola, not a broth-style one; that wasn't specified on the menu. My boyfriend wanted a gin at the end of the meal, but in a rather nonexistent way, despite having asked for a few gins he liked, he was pushed into choosing a tomato gin, without ice because the waiter told us he prefers it that way. Unfortunately, he couldn't finish it because his glass was taken away with the drink still in it. Good but for me, having heard about it for a while, a bit overrated.

02/07/2025: We followed the advice of a friend of ours and we were so satisfied that we will definitely return! The staff is extraordinary in terms of competence and kindness. The dishes are made with care and great attention to freshness and quality. Niche wine list and extremely knowledgeable sommelier. Really good! Valentina and Antonio.

12/10/2025: RESPECT! Respect is required. Anyone who offers you a fish soup (CIUPPIN in dialect) for the modest sum of €19 and serves you a broth with 4 mussels, 6 clams, 1 small squid, and what were supposed to be anchovies (a fish too small for soup), but which I couldn't count because they fell apart during cooking (leaving the bones intact), serves a nearly inedible dish, certainly not restaurant-quality. This is a recipe made with "poor" fish, a red mullet, a small white sea bream, a barchetta (I don't know what it's called in Italian), etc. The cost per serving is, however, offset by the time it takes (in this case, there wasn't any!) to clean the cooked fish, to serve the cleaned pieces, so they can be eaten with a spoon. This was simply a poor dish, without care or respect. They didn't even bother to serve the classic slice of toasted bread (too much effort!) to accompany the dish. The waiter approached and asked if something was wrong. I replied that what was wrong wasn't something that WAS there, but something that WASN'T there. He never returned. A fine example of Ligurian hospitality!

27/11/2025: On a birthday trip we came to this place to have a proper steak... we couldn't ask for more. They really know their game here. We came a bit early and had to wait outside which was a bit of a cold start. However the lunch and service all made up for this. With 7 persons (please make a reservation as the place was jam-packed) we went for 3 different types of meat. Very very tasty. The staff is quick, friendly and also made sure we got a special treat as one of our guys was celebrating his birthday. Very nice gesture. We can highly recommend this place, especially if you fancy a good piece of meat. Thanks for the great lunch guys!

10/11/2025: Cozy local ristorante with very good food, good service and reasonable prices. We drove Matera to Potenza and saw a sign in crossroad "Irsina - uno dei piu belli borghi in Italia" and decided to for sunday lunch there. It was very good decision!
