Antico Guelfo In Vicenza

One of my favorite places to eat. Attentive service and the menu never disappoints. The server recommended the perfect vino to compliment our food and made sure we were content through our meal.

Elegant yet welcoming and not cold. The decor is refined and the lunch menu is clever, with a satisfying single course (fragrant and flavorful penne with provola and a rich and fresh caprese salad, combining vibrant tomatoes and authentic mozzarella), quick and well-priced (€16). A glass of Soave enhances the experience. Professional and friendly staff. Excellent location in the historic center.

We arrived in downtown Vicenza on a warm June morning and wanted to have a traditional lunch in a nice place! We opted for this restaurant and I must say we left very satisfied! The cod crostini, Vicenza-style, were excellent, and the tagliatelle with duck were perfect. Unfortunately, given the heat, we didn't try the cod Vicenza-style and opted for the daily menu dish: salmon with basmati rice and grilled zucchini. It was delicious, all accompanied by an excellent and generous glass of Durello wine, and to finish, a lemon and ginger sorbet that we'll remember for a while! The young staff is very friendly. The location is welcoming and the service impeccable! The price is unsurprising! We'll be back to try the cod. Congratulations!

We had a wonderful meal, the cod Vicenza-style was top-notch, everything was delicious, and the atmosphere was lovely. The staff were very friendly, and the service was fast and punctual. Definitely worth a try.

The staff is very kind, respectful, and polite. The service is a bit slow. One flaw: it only has a squat toilet, which isn't very practical for female guests.
