21/04/2026: I visited for lunch. I ordered a Margherita, a Capricciosa, and a cheese mix. The Margherita is the best, as it's the restaurant's namesake. The Capricciosa's combination of anchovies and black olives was incredibly tasty. The cheese mix was similar to the Margherita but richer and truly deluxe. Thank you for the meal.

13/04/2026: We went to lunch with my family yesterday for a birthday dinner. My sister lives in the Pavia area, and we decided to try this restaurant. It offers a 15-euro fixed menu, a fair price/quality ratio, and satisfying, unpretentious food. The waitress is very professional and the service is quick. The place is small with just a few tables, but it quickly filled up. It's a very popular place in Pavia, back in the day.

07/03/2026: This pub has always existed in Pavia's main square. The venue comprises several rooms and lounges in a historic setting, reminiscent of an old castle. Personally, I find it very atmospheric; the menu offers a wide selection of beers, including Guinness!, and a variety of wines and cocktails. The food could be better served. French fries, for example, are missing, and the quality of the food isn't exceptional. This venue offers an excellent alternative to the myriad of venues that have sprung up over the years along the square and under the porticoes, which are certainly more modern and trendy but have far less atmosphere.

I point out that a restaurant is required by law to display prices and, in any case, simply show customers what they have. Otherwise, how can they choose? Basically, do you already have something in mind or are you just going to attack me? She replies, "Ask me." I cut it short and order a Negroni, which arrives watered down. I suggest the owners get a paper menu or a QR code, which doesn't cost anything to print. And maybe improve the cocktails! Otherwise, the atmosphere would be a 10.

07/04/2026: I stopped in just to cool off with a beer from the first warm spring days. A six-way tap convinced me to come in, and I chose a Gamma Ray @ Beavertown. The atmosphere is definitely charming and very clean.

Dessert: I asked if it was possible to have vanilla ice cream without red berries, and the waitress was convinced it was red berry ice cream, not vanilla with red berries. I had to read the menu to him because he didn't know... No problem, but ask someone else. Luckily or unluckily, he told me they had chocolate ice cream. I'd never had that before, just two scoops of ice cream with a crunchy frosting. I got up and strongly advised my friends at the next table not to order it. The second person at my table ordered a "cake" or something similar because they told him it was similar to tiramisu but without the cocoa. I don't know what tiramisu you know, but it had nothing to do with it. I won't be going back. Watch out for the sink in the bathroom on the left, it moves.

10/04/2026: Delicious sandwiches. Warm, crispy bread and freshly sliced ​​cured meats, truly delicious. The carpaccio sandwich was a real treat. I went on a Friday, and we found a table right away at around 7:15 PM. However, when we left (8:30 PM), there were quite a few people waiting for a table, so I recommend arriving early to avoid a wait.

10/04/2026: Well, I see criticisms, that's fine, but if the only one in Salice that's always full is the Moderno, there must be a reason for analyzing the criticisms, the sandwich is too small, I'm a 78 kg person, for me a sandwich is enough, maybe I accompany it with a dessert and I'm fine, (if you're a gugnen al so" no se dit) adding a good 66 beer I spend 20 euros, I'd say normal, I refuse dogs, very fair, I have a dog but I don't take him to clubs to bother them, once they didn't even accept annoying children under a certain age threshold, shame they don't do it anymore, moral? ... rightly so, those who don't like it, move on and don't look back!

06/03/2026: Unfortunately, my experience was not a positive one. I ordered a birthday cake expecting care and attention to detail, especially for a special occasion. To my great surprise, the cake was delivered in a box that was clearly used and soiled, as you can see in the photos. Besides giving an unprofessional impression, this also raises hygiene concerns. Considering the price and the importance of the event, I expected much more attentive service. I hope that in the future, more attention will be paid to the quality of packaging and product presentation.
