06/04/2025: Nous avons découvert ce restaurant le dernier jour de notre week-end à San Remo, et ce fut un vrai régal pour les papilles ! Nous avons toutes pris les pâtes à la carbonara, suivies d’un tiramisu : un sans-faute du début à la fin. De l’apéritif au dessert, tout était excellent. Malgré l’affluence, le service a été irréprochable : souriant, efficace et très attentionné. Les couverts ont été renouvelés entre les plats, le vin servi avec soin, et le personnel a vraiment pris le temps de bien s’occuper de nous. Un grand merci à l’équipe, car c’est l’un des seuls restaurants où nous avons aussi bien mangé durant notre séjour à San Remo. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir !

So it was with Bistrot 96 in Bordighera: the photos on Instagram pique your curiosity, and you decide to go. The restaurant is located along the main street, a welcoming corner that already promises a special experience upon entering. The hospitality is impeccable: you are welcomed with courtesy and professionalism, the kind of attention that makes you immediately feel in the right place. Then the dancing begins. The welcome amuse-bouche opens the curtain on a cuisine designed to surprise. The perfect crumbliness of the breadsticks, the hot bread just served: small details that tell of care and passion. The menu is a journey through authentic flavours, harmonized with wisdom. For me, it was a return to the flavors of my childhood: the tartlet with peas and burrata, the asparagus risotto with confit cherry tomatoes and Taggiasca olive powder. Dishes that are not just a balance of ingredients, but a true dialogue between flavor, sweetness, accents of acidity and crunchiness, which allow you to transform a tasting into an experience to remember. A chef who knows how to respect every element, who orchestrates flavors without forcing, letting them express themselves in perfect harmony, away from clichés. 13/04/2025: What could be better than sitting in the sun in San Remo on a spring afternoon! I had oysters to start, my good lady had the prawns with octopus, both excellent. The oysters were very very fresh! For main course I had the Spiced Octopus with sorrel and hummus, delightful! The boss had Firtura Misto, all crispy and freshly cooked, we had an Italian Chardonnay from the Aosta region for €30, spot on! Highly recommend. Photos to follow!
