01/02/2026: People who don't offer catering. They offer a certain time, but then they don't have a table ready, and they can't even give you a rough time to return, even though we had a newborn. Rude and arrogant. Rating: 0.

31/01/2026: For a place in a typical Genoese alleyway just steps from the aquarium, it doesn't quite live up to tradition. The place is welcoming and clean, the staff are friendly and polite, the food is good, but... the tables are oversized (like a trattoria, but why the tablecloth?) and very close together. The bread basket is served with a few slices of ordinary bread (Genoese focaccia, with sage, and breadsticks, why not?) The meat-based main courses are served without even the most basic side dish (baked potatoes/boiled vegetables). The desserts are a real disaster! Except for the exorbitantly priced canestrelli biscuits, there's no traditional dessert. In fact, they serve a typical Sicilian dessert (tasty and simple, which I make in the summer), but no sacripantina or pandolce. In short, the food is good, but don't expect anything else.

23/01/2026: Every time we pass through Sestri Levante, we happily stop here. Excellent pizzas, good beers, as are the other menu options, and a truly hospitable atmosphere and staff.

23/10/2025: Good pizzas, great variety. The atmosphere is very pleasant. I've eaten here several times and have always had a good experience.

15/11/2025: Very good pizza, the skills of the bald pizza chef amazed me and I ate a pizza half whole wheat and half normal, with lots of stracciatella, recommended if you have strong stomachs because, not finding the bathroom, I had to keep my muscles not relaxed to avoid unpleasant odors, the service of Alessia Toosa and Andrea Toosa was very professional but no one told me the bathroom anyway.......

26/10/2025: Pizzeria almost exclusively for takeaway with a few tables to eat on site, friendly owners, excellent pizzas, punctual and courteous service... recommended

18/01/2026: During a visit to Bogliasco, we stopped for an aperitif, but everything was so good that we continued with a first course and fried squid. Top quality and deliciousness. Highly recommended.

07/01/2026: We came for a cocktail and an aperitif, stayed until dessert, and will be back to chat with the waiter and try other dishes on the menu. Don't miss the Tarta de queso, superb.

30/12/2025: The bruschetta and lasagna were delicious and freshly prepared. The bottle of white wine from Liguria is also highly recommended.

28/10/2025: We were there at 5:00 PM, many places were closed, but this one was open, they poured a generous amount of Aperol and the lasagna was not bad, my friends recommend it! ;)

16/12/2025: I discovered Pizzeria al Doc last year thanks to a friend, and I haven't changed pizzerias in the area since. Deliveries are always on time, and the service is truly well-organized. The pizza is truly good, so much so that I've even told them so in person over the phone on more than one occasion. Quality ingredients, and the pizza is always delicious. The delivery guys are also very kind and courteous, which isn't always a given. Once, there was a small glitch: the pizza arrived cold due to a mix-up with another customer. I reported it, and they remade it with no problem, bringing it back piping hot and very quickly. That really makes the difference for me: being able to recognize a mistake and fix it immediately with professionalism. Nothing to say, five stars more than deserved. Keep it up, guys, full steam ahead 👏🍕

20/10/2025: I used to go there a few years ago, even though it was already quite expensive, it was worth it because the products were good. Last night I went back by chance and it was a unique disappointment. In the internal kiosk, the neon lights shine directly into your eyes, dazzling you and already making you want to leave. I bought two cutting boards and two non-alcoholic aperitifs, two slices of ham and 4 or 5 rosticini. I asked them if they could put an arancini on the cutting board. They used to do that, but they replied that if anything, it had to be purchased separately (the cutting board so meager cost us €15 each). They brought us a small appetizer fork. When I asked for a knife, they gave me the plastic cutlery in a bag that you find in supermarket salad bars. I felt ashamed for them. The place would have enormous potential if it were managed with passion, because the Sicilian specialties they produce are truly Sicilian, but I think Mr. Paolo's desire for commitment has now faded. I definitely won't be going back. At most, I'll buy the products to consume at home!!

18/10/2025: I'm returning to Don Paolo after two years, because he's the only one in Genoa who makes a more than decent Sicilian granita with brioche. I should note that in two years the price has increased by 20%, but not only that... unfortunately, the quantity of granita has decreased by another 20%... now served in a glass of water. As for the quality, however, there's nothing to complain about. Always good. Dear Don Paolo... you've built a reputation in Genoa... but be careful not to ruin it with these little things. The price increase is fine, but make sure you fix the quantity: you need a glass at least 50% larger than the one you get now. Don't be a slouch, and above all, don't ruin the image of Sicily and its oriental granita. A native of Catania, that's my word.
