17/06/2025: Focacceria San Luca – Genova is a great place to try local flavors, and the surprise package from Too Good To Go turned out to be a bullseye. For a small price we got a lot of different focaccias – each one different, fresh and very tasty.
A perfect option to try a few versions without overpaying. I highly recommend it, both for the quality and the generous portions – a great culinary experience in the spirit of not wasting!

07/09/2025: Disappointment. The first courses were poor but good quality. We ordered roast beef and baked potatoes. Five or six slices each arrived, two millimeters thick like salami slices. A scant portion of baked potatoes for two. We ordered half a liter of wine, water, and a dessert, which arrived squashed... We spent €50... Not worth it. The wait was incredibly long between courses. There are better options nearby.

02/10/2025: The pizza was very good (and there was a great variety to choose from), the staff were friendly but the waiting times were a bit long, the table layout was a bit too noisy and a bit chaotic.
22/09/2025: I found this place by accident. They serve very fast and the pizzas are very tasty. Also the girl waitress speak English which makes it very convenient to order.

27/09/2025: I go there in the evenings when they have live music. Small, intimate atmosphere, excellent wine selection, good food. The tagliolini with mushroom ragù is delicious. The waitress is very efficient, fast, kind, and attentive. The owner is a bit shy but polite. Dinner with live music on Saturday nights is a great option. Definitely worth a try.

Pane e pasta sono fatti in casa.
Servizio veloce e preciso
Davvero eccellenti i ravioli ripieni di pesce con pomodorini e scampetti. La spinta del limone si sente e rende il piatto fresco e bilanciato.

Friendly staff, but inconsistent and sometimes confusing service, with food and drinks arriving in fits and starts and some items forgotten.
We booked a week in advance for 10 people, requesting minimally secluded seating (a birthday party) in the "jail," but they crammed two more tables in and couldn't even get us out of our seats.
Comfortable atmosphere, but terrible acoustics.
13/10/2025: Food quality in free fall... an expensive McDonald's.
Too bad.

Prices and portion sizes are reasonable. The friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff will be happy to advise you based on your tastes. Personally, this is a place I highly recommend.

Working on a cruise ship, I've been able to try many pizzerias in the area, and those at Angelo Palma's are the best.

05/10/2025: Service was reasonably good. The food was below average for Italy. The lasagna was lukewarm inside. Portions were tiny. The caprese had a tomato and, admittedly, a large mozzarella. The taste was okay. 2 lasagnas, 1 caprese, 1 melon with ham, and 2 tonic waters cost €75 (including the coperto, €6). Far too expensive.
