28/03/2025: We came and expected nothing but we we're blown away by the hostess' friendliness and the level of service even though we didn't speak the same language. The quality of the food is incredible.
Best ragu we've ever had. Best tiramisu we've ever had. Great wine, great beer, great everything!
We returned for a second night and had just as great an experience! If you are looking for an authentic Italian experience this is THE place. And the prices are very fair!
14/03/2025: This is such a lovely family run restaurant! We went during the off season and it was very quiet but the food was homemade and the service was great. Would recommend if you are in the area!

There are courses for all ages and abilities.
The management is in the hands of young, talented, and smart people.
Excellent place.
It would deserve 10 stars if it weren't for the truly pitiful bathrooms, which deserve 5 stars.

20/10/2025: My experience was overall positive. It was our first time.
What can I say? Good, authentic food. The place is dated but clean.
Perhaps a little too crowded.
The waiters are always rushing around. A uniform would be a nice touch.
The price is fair and appropriate for the dishes offered.
The things I didn't like: if I reserve a table (reservation accepted) and arrive on time, I should find it free. I don't have to wait.
Handing out a menu and saying (as early as 1 pm) "This one's sold out." I don't have any more of that. That's not nice.
Anyway, in the end, all was well.

02/02/2026: Everyone should have friends who are passionate about food. We went there during our trip to Genoa and tried different sandwiches. I think it's a historical place. There's always a queue. But the staff are very nice and friendly. I recommend it.
17/12/2025: The place is a bit small but it's a great activity. The first time I was 14, now I'm 72 and I still go there.

13/03/2026: Trattoria alla Foce serving traditional dishes (and more). The brandade and trofie al pesto are truly delicious, and the focaccia is exceptional. Prices are moderate, and the service is attentive and friendly.

03/10/2025: Truly too kind: they gave us a huge discount because we waited a while for our pizzas, but it wasn't absolutely necessary! Thin and crispy pizza, very good. Excellent tiramisu. I always stop here when I pass through Borgonovo, and have for several years.

22/02/2026: It was a busy Sunday afternoon, with only one employee, so there was a bit of a wait before being served. Despite this, the clerk was kind and professional.
While waiting, if you look around a bit, you'll notice the windows aren't exactly clean and suitable for an ice cream shop, as well as the walls with peeling plaster.
