31/08/2025: We stayed one night. The hotel was very clean, with simply but functionally furnished rooms. The restaurant was excellent, with generous, high-quality portions. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was average, though perhaps a little lacking in choice. Highly recommended, and a return visit. Located 8 km from Pietra Ligure.

02/08/2025: I had a very nice experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The menu offered a good variety of dishes, and the food was tasty and nicely prepared. We especially appreciated the peaceful setting, which allowed us to enjoy our meal without feeling rushed. The location is also a big plus – it’s situated right on the square next to the cathedral, which gives it a beautiful and lively backdrop. The portions were good, and the pricing felt fair. A lovely spot for a relaxed lunch or dinner. Hint: Reserve in advance.

If you start a conversation with them, you'll see they're very nice. If you're coming from out of town, they're definitely the best you'll find around here.

23/05/2025: È raro uscire da un ristorante con la sensazione di aver vissuto qualcosa di davvero speciale, ma è esattamente quello che è successo dopo la cena da Hostaria Ducale. Ci siamo trovati lì quasi per caso, in una serata genovese di pioggia leggera, e sin dall’ingresso abbiamo percepito una cura fuori dal comune. Il locale è raccolto, intimo, arredato con gusto ma senza ostentazioni. Non c'è musica di sottofondo: solo voci basse, piatti che arrivano con grazia, e una certa sospensione del tempo. Il servizio è stato impeccabile. I camerieri si muovono in silenzio, presenti ma mai invadenti. Una ragazza in particolare ci ha accompagnati per tutta la cena con discrezione e gentilezza, rispondendo alle nostre curiosità con chiarezza e senza fretta. Non c’è nulla di affettato nei loro modi: si sente che ci tengono davvero a farti stare bene. Abbiamo scelto il percorso degustazione da otto portate, e ogni piatto è stato un piccolo viaggio. Indimenticabile il risotto con anguilla affumicata, un equilibrio perfetto tra cremosità, affumicatura e acidità. Il piccione con foie gras è arrivato come un’opera teatrale ben costruita: cottura magistrale, sapori profondi, senza eccessi. Anche i dessert, spesso trascurati altrove, qui brillano per inventiva e precisione.

17/08/2025: The outdoor seating area allows you to dine or lunch with a truly picturesque view of Piazza Ferrari and the Carlo Felice. The dishes are delicious and carefully prepared. Service is fast and the staff is very friendly. You can also sit inside. The menu is limited but varied enough to please everyone. The dishes are mostly traditional.

16/08/2025: Absolutely excellent restaurant. As a group we tried so many dishes and shared. Every single dish was superb. We had all three of the pasta fresche dishes-excellent, the tartare di cabannina- great ,the capon magro-good,the roasted piglet-absolutely outstanding a must, squid skewer-excellent, lasagne-superb, tiramisu-great, crème caramel-great. 100% going there again.

17/08/2025: The food was good. Unfortunately, the service, especially the older, bald waiter, made our experience very unpleasant. It was made clear to us from the start that he didn't speak English. This was despite the fact that the restaurant is part of a hotel and the menu at the entrance was also in English. Unfortunately, the waiter treated us disparagingly the entire time and made derogatory gestures while we were ordering. Non-Italians should avoid this restaurant.

23/06/2025: As someone who has eaten dozens and hundreds of pizzas, I can say that the pizza at this place was truly wonderful. Thin crust, delicious ingredients and it didn't have excessive oil.
