19/08/2025: I'm commenting on the review from 9 hours ago because I believe such atrocities should not be allowed to be published. That said, reviews are only valuable when they're constructive, honest, and respectful. Everything else is just useless noise, adding nothing to those seeking useful information. Behind certain words often lie superficiality, a lack of objectivity, and sometimes outright baseless attacks. In this case, the only truly authentic element that emerged didn't concern the product or service reviewed, but rather the style and discomfort of the writer: a rather sketchy knowledge of the Italian language, inappropriate arrogance and rudeness, unhealthy presumption, and a surprising lack of common sense. But what's the point of all this? Perhaps this is the true review worth writing: learn to use and publish words RESPONSIBLY, otherwise, silence.

19/08/2025: I feel compelled to respond to the review by the kind Ms. Elena Anghelus. I've been frequenting this place (a little corner of paradise) since 1999, so I feel qualified to offer an objective opinion. Assuming that a certain type of pizza can be more or less appealing (as with any other type of dish), I find her description, to say the least, offensive. Calling it "wet paper" is certainly one of the most bizarre definitions I've ever heard. But I'd like to share some information with this lady. This place's loyal customers, and I assure you there are a great many of them, make reservations specifically for the special pizza that the pizza chef (as she calls him) prepares. He's a true professional, tirelessly searching for new flavor combinations to offer on pizzas and focaccias, and has a wealth of experience. So I'd urge her to be more respectful towards those who spend hours every evening in front of an oven, enduring extremely high temperatures. Secondly, I don't know where you saw pizzas being returned still on plates, because it probably only happened at your table. Finally, dear lady, I invite you to do some soul-searching. Experience tells me that they pay very well for reviews like yours. Maybe you'll find better ones in your area. So, go ahead and try them all.

01/08/2025: Fantastic experience, excellent hospitality, with great professionalism, Mrs. Cinzia in the dining room, a wonderful person, and also Davide, who always asked if everything was okay, above all, always with a smile. The room was very comfortable and quiet, and not to mention the view, WONDERFUL, an enchanting sea, a clean beach, and also a very attentive lifeguard. We recommend this experience, you will go home with wonderful memories. Thanks again to all the staff at Hotel Danio, good work!

The food is also good, carefully presented and explained; the fish and chicken are delicious. The portions are a bit small, but considering the location, it's worth it!

24/08/2025: Wonderful place and Friendly service... even with the walkers who brought their own sandwiches, not knowing this osteria existed. They were friendly, however, allowing everyone to stay and use the tables until the guests who had reservations arrived. The only one who complained was the village priest... "divine" kindness. I'll be back because the food is excellent... only flaw... Sampdoria fans... but I'm a Torino fan, so we suffer together 😅

08/08/2025: A very welcoming and well-maintained restaurant, with fast, efficient service that's always attentive to their customers' every need. The appetizers are excellent, as are the first and second courses. The cheese focaccia is particularly noteworthy, exquisite and truly worthy of the famous Recco focaccia. We had the pleasure of returning and can confirm our previous review: the focaccia is even tastier than before. Whenever I crave cheese focaccia, I'm happy to leave Portofino to come here. The prices are in line with the quality offered, with an excellent value. Special praise goes to the owner and his family, who stand out for their courtesy, professionalism, and for creating a truly pleasant atmosphere in every way.

30/07/2025: Our visit to Vapansiero was absolutely fantastic! The food was delicious, every dish was full of flavour. The service was super, with incredibly attentive and friendly staff who made the experience even better. On top of that, the atmosphere was great, creating a truly inviting and enjoyable space. I highly recommend it!

13/09/2025: I ordered two takeout pizzas that were of poor quality, with barely any rise in the dough and sour tomato sauce. It was a truly negative experience. You still have a lot to learn about pizza; I don't know about the rest, but I definitely won't order anything from you again, and I won't recommend it. Sorry.

30/08/2025: I've known La Salsa for many years now and have always had great food. After 7 years, I returned this year and had a wonderful meal. My daughter had the Fassona beef burger, which was delicious😋 We had spaghetti with clams and grilled fish, everything was delicious and very fresh. Reservations are recommended.

18/08/2025: I had dinner last night. We had a raw fish platter, a seafood salad, and a mixed fried fish platter for three. Everything was good, although I expected a slightly larger portion of fried fish for €26. A less than positive note about the knowledge of Genoese craft beers offered. First of all, they weren't on the menu. The girl, who was knowledgeable about everything else, had a hard time answering the question, "What kind of beers are these? Lager, Pils, Weiss, etc...." She went to ask and then came back saying they were "classic" beers, which doesn't mean anything. After a while, I managed to get them to tell me about one they had, the white one (blanche). I ordered it, and it was good, too. Meanwhile, as a beer enthusiast, I thank the manager/owner for having them available, but I recommend paying a little more attention to them, even if it's not the restaurant's star product. Usually, those who eat fish drink white wine... Except me! 😂
