04/01/2026: We returned to La Beccaccia for the second time to celebrate our anniversary, and just like the first time, we had a wonderful time! Generous portions, the fettuccine creamed in a parmesan wheel are truly fantastic, and the main courses and desserts are always delicious. The staff is very helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere is intimate. We highly recommend it!

03/01/2026: We went there for dinner on January 31st. We couldn't have made a better choice. First of all, the option to choose from the à la carte menu or opt for the full menu offered for the occasion was excellent. We opted for the à la carte menu, especially given our arrival time at the restaurant, 10:00 PM (we were arriving from out of the region and had to travel in the evening), and we really appreciated the fact that they waited for us even so late. The table was beautiful, with soft, relaxing lighting, surrounded by large, soft cushions. It felt like dining on a large sofa, surrounded by candles, lamps, and gorgeous Christmas decorations! Food: We ordered both appetizers, which were incredibly generous and all excellent quality and delicious. Moving on to the first course, we chose their famous fettuccine mantecate, which was also perfectly flavorful, with the option of adding sauce. We were already satisfied, but we couldn't pass up the finishing touch: a slice of grilled panettone with a hot zabaglione made on the spot. Believe me, this alone was worth the trip from Turin to Rapallo. I recommend La Beccaccia. Go try it and you'll see for yourself! For New Year's Eve, we even spent a manageable amount, including water, wine, and service charge, for under €70.

24/01/2026: The quintessence of disappointment. It felt like we were bothering the waiters and waitresses. No goodbye at all, very long waiting times for the service, yet extremely quick when it came to bringing the card machine to pay. My girlfriend ordered the “risotto with red shrimp tartare”… there was indeed a risotto (although you could absolutely not taste any broth, only plain rice) and a few small pieces of shrimp scattered on top. PLEASE DO NOT USE THE WORD “TARTARE” WHEN YOU ARE NOT ACTUALLY MAKING ONE. My dish seemed to have been prepared with an overly salty, industrial pesto. In short: disappointing. And honestly, unless you have the palate of a Doberman, this is a tourist trap to be avoided. A disgrace to Italy.

03/01/2026: We had a wonderful dinner at Quintessenza in San Remo, seated outside in their wind‑protected and heated area. The plastic enclosure kept us perfectly comfortable, and the table itself was excellent — cozy, calm, and ideal for enjoying the evening. We started with the paccheri al sugo di crostacei, a chef’s suggestion that turned out to be absolutely delicious, along with a beautifully prepared insalata di carciofi served raw and full of flavor. For the main courses, I chose the classic Orecchia d’Elefante and a rombo con carciofi al forno, both impeccably cooked and generously portioned. Dessert was equally impressive: a creamy cheesecake with caramello salato and a delightful meringata con marron glacé. Every dish was well prepared, balanced, and satisfying. The service added an extra touch of charm. Before the starters, the waiter brought us some bread and warm pizza slices, and we were offered a limoncello to finish the meal. The highlight, though, was the thoughtful gesture toward our dog Toffee, who received a few slices of ham as a treat — a small detail that made the experience feel truly personal. From start to finish, everything was smooth, attentive, and delicious. Quintessenza delivered a flawless experience that fully deserves 5 stars.

05/01/2026: I just went with my dad for dinner and we were blown away by the food! We had the farinata with gorgonzola, both wheat and chickpea. Both were truly delicious! The chickpea one was lovely and crunchy, and the wheat one wasn't soft at all! The best farinata in Savona! Very friendly staff! Truly satisfied!

21/01/2026: I was there today when the new management opened. The pesto was fabulous, and the fried food was superb too! Excellent wine. In short, it's definitely a place to return to and bring friends from outside Genoa to make a good impression.

07/01/2026: A chic, family-friendly restaurant. We love it and always visit when we can. It's best to reserve a table, as it's always full. Delicious meat, tartare, and a good wine collection. Our first time ordering the meat appetizer set, but it was so full that there was no room left for the main courses. Cozy atmosphere

06/01/2026: New Year's Eve dinner... we ate very well, using high-quality ingredients and everything was freshly prepared (for example, the tartare was a real treat). The service was excellent. The price was reasonable considering it was New Year's Eve. We'll be back.

25/12/2025: Christmas Lunch 2025: I'm not a fan of holiday lunches and dinners in restaurants, partly out of tradition and partly out of annoyance for people who have to work during such important holidays. The fact remains that due to family commitments, we have to travel for the day to visit my grandmother and have lunch with her, and this year, for the first time, I had a truly wonderful Christmas lunch. Let me start by saying that we had already tried the restaurant previously, with excellent feedback, and today our expectations from our last visit were confirmed. For the first time, we were able to choose between the Christmas menu with dishes chosen by the kitchen or selecting our favorite dishes from the à la carte menu; so, I selected a first and second course from the à la carte menu (for those who are more discerning, please forgive the meat-fish combination). I started with lobster linguine and veal cheek for the second course, both excellent, with generous portions and sublime flavors. I'm not usually overly sentimental; but thanks for making me reconsider my Christmas lunches at restaurants! I'll be back soon.

09/01/2026: Wk with friends from Emilia by chance we chose the Pesciolino and it was a surprise excellent food well cared for courteous staff and very friendly owner next stop in Genoa we will return to try the other dishes excellent

09/11/2025: Lunch included: a cold cuts appetizer and fried bread, which we split in two because it was so generous. We moved straight on to the main course, choosing between fillet steak with fries and a grilled tuna steak with vegetables, a coffee affogato (a kind of ice cream) and a fruit ice cream. Water, wine, and coffee! Generous portions, fresh, quality ingredients, and beautifully presented! Friendly and attentive staff, dog-friendly, and a pleasant, clean place! See you soon!

22/10/2025: Delicious pizza, very charming location, especially if you're sitting near the windows. Hand-made fries, something I've rarely found in restaurants. Fair prices. A lovely evening.
