Il mio compagno ha preso il tonno in crosta, particolare e buonissimo. In più tutti erano cortesi e supedisponibili. Uno di quei posticini curati con amore, molto consigliato.

Truly delicious dishes: exquisite tagliolini with mushrooms and herbs, delicious venison, and a truly worthy egg-based main course. And then the dessert, a reinterpretation of the Saint Honoré tart, delicious—we could have eaten six plates. We'll definitely be back to try the fish dishes. We're so happy!

06/07/2025: A discovery that is good for the heart, as well as the belly! My wife and I went to this restaurant, almost by chance. It is true that good things happen when you least expect them. Davide welcomes us, a rare kindness, attentive, friendly, passionate and the true creator of the dishes (unique, you will not find them anywhere), as well as a wine expert. Raw materials of excellent quality, from the vegetables and flowers from their biodynamic garden, to the Cabannina meat and the fish (which we will assign next time), which is selected only from a certain area of ​​the Ligurian Sea. The dishes: a dandelion risotto with candied celery, cream of peas and jasmine flowers! A surprising and balanced taste, truly delicious. Corn tacos with hummus and seasonal vegetables with dozens of colorful edible flowers that gave an overwhelming aroma in the mouth. A Genoese mixed fry like the one of the past, fried very well, light and crunchy and not at all greasy. An egg pochette with fondue on top of a brioche bread dipped in a tomato sauce... crazy! Not to mention the desserts: it would be worth going just for those! I couldn't even describe them again but they left us speechless for their taste and lightness. All this while drinking a delicious Ciliegiolo and finishing with a digestive of their production with herbs from their garden. We finish the dinner and go to meet the chef and pastry chef, two very kind and super friendly Genoese gentlemen. We were very happy, the people first and then what we ate really moved us. We will return as soon as possible!

05/07/2025: Io e mia sorella abbiamo cenato alla Betulla, un ristorante turistico sul lungomare di Finale Ligure. Il personale è gentilissimo, la posizione ottima. Tante proposte sia di carne che di pesce che pizze. Abbiamo preso una frittura di totani e gamberi e i gamberi erano qualcosa di eccezionale, super freschi e morbidi.

23/05/2025: È raro uscire da un ristorante con la sensazione di aver vissuto qualcosa di davvero speciale, ma è esattamente quello che è successo dopo la cena da Hostaria Ducale. Ci siamo trovati lì quasi per caso, in una serata genovese di pioggia leggera, e sin dall’ingresso abbiamo percepito una cura fuori dal comune. Il locale è raccolto, intimo, arredato con gusto ma senza ostentazioni. Non c'è musica di sottofondo: solo voci basse, piatti che arrivano con grazia, e una certa sospensione del tempo. Il servizio è stato impeccabile. I camerieri si muovono in silenzio, presenti ma mai invadenti. Una ragazza in particolare ci ha accompagnati per tutta la cena con discrezione e gentilezza, rispondendo alle nostre curiosità con chiarezza e senza fretta. Non c’è nulla di affettato nei loro modi: si sente che ci tengono davvero a farti stare bene. Abbiamo scelto il percorso degustazione da otto portate, e ogni piatto è stato un piccolo viaggio. Indimenticabile il risotto con anguilla affumicata, un equilibrio perfetto tra cremosità, affumicatura e acidità. Il piccione con foie gras è arrivato come un’opera teatrale ben costruita: cottura magistrale, sapori profondi, senza eccessi. Anche i dessert, spesso trascurati altrove, qui brillano per inventiva e precisione.

17/06/2025: The food is divine, perfect pizzas that are hard to finish, grilled cockerel that melts in your mouth, salami and quails, I don't even mention them. You only have to book if you want the cockerel because otherwise you risk not finding it, it sells out like hot cakes, while the pizzas are always there. In the summer you can find Pizzo Calabrò ice cream, endless beers, soft drinks and water, there is even the secret spicy oil with Calabrian chilli pepper to macerate which is the bomb. In addition to eating very well, the price is really very cheap, the place is always clean, there is a huge square nearby where you can park. I live in Milan and yet going there to Vincenzo is priceless, he even accepts medium-sized dogs like huskies. After only a couple of times that you go to the tavern you realise that you are part of a big family and that the food there becomes better and better. It is not a "luxury" place, no red carpet, this is a place where you can eat divinely in great company, you laugh and all your problems disappear. It's no use traveling the world if you've never eaten here at least once. PS I don't write positive reviews if I'm not sure of what I'm writing, so I suggest you eat to believe.

16/07/2025: A place where you can try Genoese specialties, but there are only a few dishes. The homemade pasta with pesto is excellent, the steak tartare is not spicy enough for my taste. The cod dish was delicious. The dessert is excellent! Although the space is very small, everything is nicely laid out and organized.
