08/07/2025: I live above and I had never given this place the right rating. I decided to book hearing so much good things about it AND THEY WERE RIGHT. Very fresh raw café with dried tomatoes and olives amazing, Irish Angus 1k and 200 but if they had been 2, they would have gone down very well. The meat is butter, tasty like I hadn't tasted for a long time. My 15 month old son particularly enjoyed the potatoes 😀 impeccable service. The final surprise was the bill really for the quality of the meat, the service and everything is really accessible to everyone 💓

03/05/2025: Ate really good meat, family-run place that puts its heart into what it does....a nice dinner characterized by friendliness in an informal atmosphere. And I recommend the meat absolutely rare otherwise the chef will get angry

08/06/2025: I regret leaving a negative review, especially because I had chosen this restaurant on the advice of friends and had invited other people with rather high expectations. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. We dined in the veranda, where the noise level was so high that it was very difficult to converse at the table - it is not the fault of the staff, but it is an aspect that negatively affects the quality of the evening. We ordered a house appetizer that was served to us after a very long wait, well over 40 minutes. When we asked, we were told that the cutting board takes time to prepare. However, the content did not justify the wait: two whole salamis to peel and slice yourself, along with other products that, personally, I found qualitatively mediocre. In the meantime, while we were still eating the appetizer, we were served the first courses. I had chosen the pici with truffle and pecorino cheese, which disappointed me as much as the appetizer: they seemed to be seasoned simply with oil, a light sprinkling of pecorino cheese and a few flakes of flavorless “truffle”. To prevent them from getting cold, we had to leave the appetizer half-eaten. One person in our group, who had decided to skip the first course to have a second course (a fillet), was the only one who was satisfied with the dish received. During dinner, a waiter asked us how it was going. A little embarrassed - because I honestly felt sorry - I replied that unfortunately it wasn't going well. The waiter simply reported it to the owner, who however didn't bother to come to the table, nor to ask for explanations, nor to apologize. In conclusion, as far as I'm concerned it was a disappointing experience, especially for the quality of the dishes, the waiting times and the customer management. I don't think I'll be back.

27/05/2025: Super gentili! Prenotato alle 22, che già è un orario scomodo, abbiamo chiamato x dire che ritardavamo mezz ora e nonostante ciò non hanno fatto nessun problema. Super gentili e disponibili, hanno anche dato del prosciutto alla nostra cagnolina. Pizza e dolce buonissimi! Prezzo onestissimo. Se ci troveremo nuovamente in zona torneremo sicuramente!

05/06/2025: The best Genoese ice cream ever. I remember, when I was a girl, it was in via XX settembre, I loved it. Then, after many years, I happily found it again in Piazza Paolo da Novi. The ice cream is the real ice cream, which has a full and balanced flavor in all flavors. An ice cream that is not excessively sugary, which is tasty and light for a super snack. In the panorama of Genoese ice cream shops, for me it remains an excellence. Without taking anything away from others, it remains my favorite ice cream shop. I often stop there to enjoy ice cream after work

08/06/2025: Se si potessero dare 10 stelle le daremmo. Matteo col suo ristorante è il migliore in assoluto, se fosse ubicato a Milano sarebbe il migliore anche Milano o a Roma. Materie prime freschissime ed eccellenti. Servizio puntuale preciso preparato ma mai invadente. Il menú , partendo già dalle materie prime eccellenti , regala piatti straordinari davvero, ogni volta una conferma e sinceramente, è emozionante degustare i loro piatti. Stavo dimenticando anche la bellezza del locale all’interno,elegante e fine , per non parlare della Veranda all’esterno nel pieno della piazzetta fronte mare di LAIGUEGLIA. Bravo Matteo, bravi tutti. 12/06/2025: Apart from the fact that after frequenting it a few times you feel like you're at home..... When you get to the calculations.. You realize that the quality/price ratio is very high... They serve local specialties which sometimes amaze me so much they are original. Today for example Ligurian rabbit 😋 Stuff for people like me who, fortunately, live above all to "eat" and above all with family-run kitchens. However it will depend on tastes but there is something for everyone!!

08/07/2025: Amazing service🥹 The waitress was very kind. When she saw we finished the pastry she brought us the new bread immediately. We didn’t wait too long for the food even tho there was a big reservation.

27/06/2025: We were a group of 8 people at this restaurant and it was an unpleasant experience for us. The only thing that was ok was the service, otherwise the food was below average for the demands and the cost of the preparations and what culminated in completely ruining our evening was the attitude of the owner. In short, we ordered a wine that they told us they no longer had but he recommended another one, a bottle was brought to us, he gave us to taste, the wine was sour and oxidized, unbelievable, we asked for something else and he told us that it was not possible, the wine is very good, he tasted it, so we have to pay for it. We ordered another one, we paid for the spoiled one and gave it to him as a gift to drink. An execrable experience, I have never encountered anywhere else. If you don't want to ruin a holiday evening, don't go there!
