22/07/2025: This delightful little restaurant is set under the trees in the pretty little village square. An interesting menu features some local specialties which is nice to see and the family are friendly and welcoming. I had the ravioli which were delicious and my friend had the lasagne, which is unfortunately where it went all went wrong and stopped me from awarding 5 stars which is a shame. The lasagne looked lovely when it arrived but when my friend took a mouthful it was stone cold, un fact it was bordering on still frozen in the middle! The waitress apologised profusely and returned with a piping hot version, but surely this is a very basic error that should never have left the kitchen. To be fair they were very apologetic and offered us complimentary coffee but such a shame.

14/07/2025: This little restaurant is a gem. We had a nice long lunch in early July 2025. The food was fabulous. Extremely fresh creative salad. We also had a type of homemade pasta that was very different and terrific. The food was so good that we had desert, which we usually don't do for lunch. Both homemade desserts were also terrific. An added plus was that this restaurant is run by a very hard-working family with an interesting back story. Lastly, also our server (daughter of the owner I believe) had a big smile, and every request was met with "of course" and her great service to go with the great food.

24/08/2025: Due to a three-hour layover in Genoa, we had some time to spare, so we used Google Maps to find a restaurant near the bus station. We decided on the neighboring "Trattoria da Mario," which was closed for vacation—which turned out to be a stroke of luck. The "Tierra Nuestra," just a few steps away, didn't seem inviting at first glance, with its large-format food photos in the entrance area and its somewhat small and cramped outdoor terrace. This impression quickly faded, however. We had a few questions about the dishes on the menu, which the waitress couldn't answer due to language barriers. The restaurant manager noticed this and stepped in to help, calling the chef from the kitchen to our table, who answered our question. We found this very friendly and helpful. My companion then ordered fish with rice, and I ordered seafood with rice. We received two generous portions, which were visually appealing and both of us thoroughly enjoyed them. At the end of our visit, we were glad that the "Trattoria da Mario" was closed, as otherwise we wouldn't have experienced this extraordinary culinary experience.

29/08/2025: Good food, friendly and helpful staff. Water is a bit expensive, as is the case with other restaurants in the area. It's still a restaurant that also runs a beach club.

01/09/2025: We went there twice for dinner and were delighted both times. The service and food were very good; we had pasta, fried frutta di mare, and pizza. Everything was plentiful and very good, and the prices were actually quite reasonable, but that's probably due to the remote location.

05/09/2025: A restaurant specializing in seafood, offering a wide, but not overwhelming, selection and a constantly updated daily special. Excellent value, sophisticated pairings, and exquisite flavors. Fresh or not, the fish is always cooked to perfection, complemented by impeccable presentation and quick, courteous service, courtesy of a young, helpful staff. If you're passing through Ceriale and you enjoy seafood, a stop at Ostaia du Ma is a must. Congratulations, guys! Keep up the good work!

01/09/2025: Found it by chance. The first time they ran out of fried calamari, but the food was excellent. We returned very satisfied. They were very kind. I stained my shirt and without asking, they brought stain remover. We returned for the fried calamari, which was excellent. RECOMMENDED.

21/08/2025: An old trattoria where you can enjoy traditional farinata, still made in a wood-fired oven! The old-fashioned atmosphere evokes memories of the early 20th century, and the adjacent grocery store literally took me back to when I was a child shopping there with my grandmother. Farinata for 10! A highly recommended experience.

18/08/2025: Beautiful. It really feels like a journey back in time. As a boy, I often went to country places with outdoor tables, entering from the little bar and crossing a wooden room with a view of the blazing oven. Spectacular. Here it happened again. The girl who took our orders was incredibly kind and friendly. My son had excellent pan pizza, and we had farinata, plain, with sausage, with onions, with gorgonzola... a real treat. It's been a while since I've had farinata this good. I had a wonderful time.

06/09/2025: If you're looking for a delicious meal and don't mind spending a little more than usual, this is the place for you. We had a wonderful evening, made a real highlight by the extremely friendly waitresses and the beautiful location in the heart of Bordighera's old town. Culinary delights were certainly not lacking. Battery-operated table lamps and the option of outdoor seating complete the special ambiance.
