13/07/2025: Excellent quality ingredients, expertly prepared, excellent pizza and burgers, and everything else on the menu is a must-try. They also have a wide selection of beers and wines, and excellent bartenders cater to the entire drinks menu, which you can enjoy both at the table and at the bar. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and quick. All this in a location with a truly unique interior design, as are the outdoor tables overlooking the banks of the Velino River, one of Rieti's most characteristic views. Highly recommended.

13/08/2025: We arrived at 12:40 PM, in the height of the Brigands' Path season, tempted by the idea of ​​a nice carbonara like the other reviews, but the owner decided he didn't want one today and we had to settle for sandwiches at most, waiting several minutes to be served. Excellent, I'd say. I'd also add a note about the shameful fascist relics above the counter.

We were all deeply disappointed; it's around 11:00 PM and we were the only ones who hadn't received our order inside the restaurant. I'm reluctant to leave a negative review; we've lost all our respect and trust in you because of this evening.

Not only for its stunning location, immersed in the natural beauty of the Rieti hills, crafted with simplicity and elegance, but also for its truly delicious cuisine, made with expertly prepared, high-quality ingredients. Papilla combines attention to the local area, research, and curiosity: the result is interesting, fun, delicious, and authentic dishes. I recommend the fish appetizers. The service deserves special mention: attentive to customer needs and meticulous. The price is truly more than fair. Well done.

29/08/2025: I didn't expect to find myself in a quiet mountain place where the peace and quiet and the scenery reign supreme. Instead of eating the typical traditional dishes of these areas, we shared appetizers of the freshest and, above all, highest-quality fish. All served by wonderful people, not to mention the owners who pamper and make everyone feel at home, from the youngest to the oldest, without distinction. We had a wonderful time and are ready to return. You guys were wonderful. Keep it up.

The appetizers were delicious, and the second course of the first course was amazing, and the hug was extraordinary! Home-style Roman cooking 🔝 with only local products. 🔝 We really had a great time. 08/11/2025: A very charming location, typical of a well-used inn, with the feel of someone who has turned their passion and love for cooking into their profession. There's limited seating inside, but there's also a small covered veranda outside. Very good dishes made with quality ingredients. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you're in the Greccio area to visit the sanctuary, I'd definitely stop here to indulge. Highly recommended.

04/11/2025: Leaving aside the uncomfortable chairs and the feeling of uncleanliness, the worst thing was the service. It was "smart," to say the least, and rather unpleasant. No attention was paid to intolerances: even though we specified lactose intolerance and requested a first course without cheese, a normal dish was delivered, covered in cheese, and the owner even blamed the guest, almost as if he had to eat it anyway. The first course was nettle cream, extremely salty and full of pecorino cheese, but no nettles were served. Extremely slow service. It's been a long time since a restaurant experience was this unpleasant; it ruined our trip.

24/09/2025: We had dinner here twice because we didn't always have four courses at our accommodation and just wanted a good pizza. The pizza is excellent, and the second time, the chef recommended and served us a typical dessert (seadas). Great! I can't understand why it's always so quiet here; we've had worse food for a lot of money at Posada. Perhaps it's the ambiance, which seems a bit neglected. The owner is very casually dressed, but does that bother you when the food is delicious? I highly recommend this place!

08/10/2025: October 8, 2025, business dinner. It's not often, in fact, that you go to a pizzeria and are thrilled. This isn't really a pizzeria, but rather a place of culinary culture, accompanied by the owner's polite descriptions of the food. If you go, take your time and be curious about what you're eating. The pinsa dough is wonderful, melt-in-the-mouth and easy to digest, the ingredients are top-quality, varied, and paired with gourmet skill. Nothing else around compares!

21/07/2025: I don't know why, but we'd missed this place! The welcome was wonderful, the service was friendly, polite, and cheerful. The food was excellent and easy to digest. We'll definitely be back. I highly recommend it.
