23/08/2025: At almost 8 a.m., the counter was completely empty, with no sweet or savory options. My partner, to avoid waiting too long, had to settle for a vegan croissant, while I opted for a simple coffee, since there was nothing savory available. Furthermore, the prices seemed a bit high for the quality of service. Truly disappointing, I'll never come back. For me, it's a complete no-no.

18/01/2026: Welcoming, quaint, and clean. The cuisine features traditional family dishes. Excellent food, and the owner is very friendly. A restaurant we discovered by chance, and we've been happy to return.

05/12/2025: It's now become my go-to bakery, unique in the quality of its products and their preparation. I discovered it by chance while asking a local restaurateur where he bought the bread he served in his restaurant, and that's where it all began. I always travel from Ferentino to buy baked goods from this business, and I always make a quick stop at Lake Canterno. "Antica Forneria Ciociara" is also famous for its "American bread," and by googling it you can find more information on this curious and beautiful story. Five well-deserved stars, well done! 👏

17/07/2025: The prices are staggering for a loaf of bread sold for 3 euros. Get a grip. You're not selling 24-karat gold. It's just bread and pizza. I categorically advise against it. I won't go there again.

21/09/2025: Beautiful location The waiters were mostly friendly Parking was a total disappointment... with all the people staying here, someone would need to manage the parking lot, otherwise people park terribly, taking up 2-3 spots with a single car, and the others are forced to park outside. The pizza I saw at this place was the worst I've ever had: burnt, hard to cut, the crust completely nonexistent, and the smell was completely unappealing. Plus, they showed up with a diavola made with scamorza instead of mozzarella.

19/08/2025: This restaurant is well known and has had positive experiences. I recently spent Ferragosto there, and I must say that despite the crowds and the unpredictable weather, I had a wonderful day. The restaurant is located practically on the shore of Lake Cardito, and you can take a walk along the lakeside after/before lunch. The food was excellent, homemade and high-quality, especially the roast lamb. The service, despite the crowds, was good.

12/08/2025: I've known this restaurant since I was a child. It hasn't changed much, and I think that's a positive thing. Simple food, a limited menu because everything is freshly cooked, and a rustic, family-friendly atmosphere, as it should be in a place like this. Its proximity to Lake Cardito, a place of peace and surprising beauty, is priceless. P.S. Ask for the shortcut that takes you directly to the lake, for a refreshing stroll.

13/11/2025: NB: I RECOMMEND READING THE TRUSTPILOT REVIEWS FIRST!!! Terrible experience. Half an hour just to take the order. Then an hour and a half of waiting. In the end, we went somewhere else to eat. The staff was VERY rude. I asked when the pizzas would arrive and was told, "Well, they'll arrive." I will warn everyone I know to stay away from this place. To the owner, I want to say: thank you so much for helping me with your reply below the review and showing everyone your level of professionalism. 😂 There's nothing more to add; you're advertising yourself (as I can see from the replies to the other negative reviews). I emphasize: we arrived 15 minutes late, which can happen to any customer for more or less serious reasons, but it doesn't justify the treatment we received. In fact, I've never been late and been greeted that way in any restaurant. Not even in the main sushi restaurants in Cassino, where Saturday nights are always packed. How come other restaurants manage to handle everything with courtesy and professionalism, and you can't? The basics are completely missing. And now let's see if he's smart enough to shoot himself in the foot with another top-notch response.

13/11/2025: Extremely disappointing experience: the pizza arrived after over an hour, was mostly burnt, the orders were wrong, and it was even delivered at different times. The service was also terrible: the owner was unprofessional and arrogant, overcharging us by two portions. To avoid an argument, we left without knowing the total amount. We weren't even given a receipt (there were 30 of us, so we're talking about almost €500). Receipts were only issued for those paying by card, obviously. For this reason, absolutely not recommended: the biggest problem is the management and the owner's attitude. Neither I nor my friends will ever set foot in this place again! One star only because it's not possible to give a zero-star review.

09/01/2026: Recently renovated bar/pastry shop. Parking is relatively easy, but at peak times you may have to park your car on the street. The interior is spacious but rather anonymous. The food is of decent quality, with reasonable prices. Service is confusing: the staff are friendly, but to get served at your table, unless you're part of a large group, you have to stand out.

31/08/2025: I've been there several times and always had a good experience, but on my most recent visit (August 2025), unfortunately, the evening was quite disappointing: there were eight of us and we ate practically as if we were two separate groups, as we were served in batches, and that alone would be enough for a negative review. Furthermore, the pizzas were all burned on one side, a sign that they were never turned once in the oven. And the drizzle of oil at the end was missing, which isn't a quirk, but an ingredient. Very bad, then; I hope things improve.

26/10/2025: We were delighted to return to Il Pioppeto after years of absence and found the owners' kindness to be superb. The apartment was perfect, clean, and charming, with Angela's touch evident. It's a charming place perfect for relaxation.

23/06/2025: The other afternoon I went into this croissant shop, a window with little or nothing, when it should always be well stocked, in my opinion. I took two simple croissants to take away at the exaggerated cost of €1.50 each (a really high price for empty and skimpy croissants) a waffle, for the beauty of €6, which is absolutely not worth the excessive cost... an experience not to be repeated absolutely

24/09/2025: In response to Mr. Alessandro's latest review, we'd like to make a few clarifications: The fresh lamb (400g of ribs, the most prized cut) has a price; The hamburger weighs 400g and is made from selected fresh meat; The salad, a COOP brand, is deliberately packaged for hygiene reasons and costs €4; Regarding meat prices, the customer's statements are false, because the average price of our meat per plate is €3.50-€4 per 100g (Piedmontese, Marchigiana, Garronese, etc.); every week, we add some special cuts, premium steaks (Simmenthal beef, Chianina, Finnish sashimi, etc.) at a variable price, from €5 to €6.50 per 100g per plate. The much-maligned frozen French fries are McCain. Please remember that we don't claim to be a Michelin-starred restaurant, but rather a simple butcher and grill shop that puts quality first. We kindly ask our customers to report any dissatisfaction immediately so we can rectify the situation, rather than pretending everything is fine and then hiding behind a keyboard. Thank you.

20/09/2025: Prices are now out of control compared to some time ago, and especially considering what you're getting. For a double hamburger, €18 is completely unjustified, because we're talking about a bit of ground beef with industrial-grade bread and sauces, not homemade, accompanied by a paltry amount of industrial-grade frozen fries, less than half a portion, I think, and a €33 Coke. It's absolutely not worth it. The €16 lamb ribs platter would be three pieces of bone on an empty plate, not even a bit of salad or a lemon wedge as a garnish or side dish. It's sad. You should get two portions for dinner, but then you'd go to Heinz Beck. Let's move on to the side dishes: the frozen chicory is Eurospin quality, and the salad is the one in a bag. They have to be paid separately, like €5 if I remember correctly, which is exaggerated, given that the first vegetable is frozen and the second is the bagged mix that can be found everywhere for €1 a pack. I mean... there's not even the work behind it to justify it. Moreover, it's a fairly anonymous and out-of-the-way place where you arrive and immediately leave by car because there's nothing around. The wait staff is excellent, though. I can't comment on the quality of the meat, but it's definitely top-notch considering it costs 70 euros per kg.

19/10/2025: 3 euros for a small cone..... 30 grams of ice cream yes or no and a drizzle of cream just to show what's there...... Then we wonder why businesses in Frosinone are in trouble 😅 (ah, and from the response I received I would also say very little modesty in accepting criticism, evidently the tongue hits where the tooth hurts ☺️)

23/12/2025: Good pizza, punctual with orders, makes a very interesting thick pizza, it is a bit small, seating is difficult, definitely worth a stop, friendly staff.
