26/07/2026: Giovanna is a delightful person whom I've known for many years. She wanted to renovate the restaurant, which has since changed its name to the historic Casa Giovanna osteria. As always, we ate well, served with traditional products. The handmade gnocchi were especially delicious.

22/06/2026: The place is spacious and cute. It's a shame about everything else. The menu is a bit meager. We ordered their homemade fettuccine, which was very dry and lacked seasoning. The lamb chops were two pieces of meat full of fat, half-raw, and unseasoned (neither oil nor salt). We mentioned this to the staff, asking for a menu so we could order something else, but they ignored us. There's a sign at the register asking people to immediately report any complaints and not to leave negative online reviews. So I told the owner about everything we didn't like. She was very upset, thinking no one had ever complained. Reading the reviews, I don't think so. On our way out, there was a couple eating outside who were complaining about the dish they'd been served. The waiter gave the same response as the owner: "No one's ever complained." I recommend taking criticism to heart and improving what's wrong without attacking customers. Terrible quality-price ratio

18/05/2026: I'll start by saying that the following refers exclusively to the miniature pastries because I haven't had the chance to try anything else. I've been invited on three different occasions, and one of the guests is in love with this pastry shop, so she brought a tray of miniature pastries each time. This is a historic pastry shop in Ceccano, and I hate writing this review because, in a way, I've grown fond of it. The problem is that over the years they haven't updated at all, and the quality has dropped dramatically (or, if you think about it, it's stayed the same, but the others have improved, they haven't). Every time this tray arrives at the table, we look at each other and sigh, because no one likes them. Everything is very, very, very sweet... I'll name two at random: the zeppole di San Giuseppe are so full of jam that you can't even taste the cream and it's hard to finish a miniature; The shortcrust peaches, both white and red, are inedible. They're diabetic-friendly. The shortcrust pastry is too compact and incredibly sweet, the cream is incredibly sweet, and, to top it all, they're rolled in such an excessive layer of coarse-grained sugar that after the first bite you're chomping at the bit. The flavors are always very artificial and packaged; they don't seem like artisanal pastries made by a pastry shop that should be teaching others, given its history. The result is that the tray always stays full, and many people exchange knowing looks and skip dessert. I can easily eat 5-6 mini pastries from any pastry shop, but I hardly finish one of these. Honestly, I'm sorry.

22/08/2026: A 750g Duchessa Sammontana ice cream cake, which normally costs €7-8, is now selling for €25. I understand that in the small towns during the summer they exploit this a bit to attract tourists, but quadrupling the price is truly a rip-off. Not recommended!

05/06/2026: Almost all food items are tasty.. specially all types of Biryani.. services and atmosphere r also very satisfying.. I highly recommend for family dinner or lunch..

12/07/2026: Ordinary two seafood appetizers in my opinion they were taken from the jar of some supermarket they don't even know what a seafood appetizer is for the second course fried prawns and squid equal 4 half slices of bread the only good thing was the water

05/07/2026: Stopping for lunch. It deserves a passing grade. In my case, the first course was good, the second course was decent. The carbonara was excellent, just a little too peppery. The grilled sausage was burnt. The bill was €25 with a beer and water.

31/03/2026: I frequent Civico 29 at times other than its "fame": it's well-known for aperitivo and after-dinner drinks, but for me it's become a go-to spot especially for a late breakfast or afternoon coffee. The location is simply fabulous: super central, with outdoor tables that allow you to calmly enjoy the stroll along the main street. It's one of those places where stopping isn't just a break, but also a brief moment to observe the city. The staff is always professional, kind, helpful, and even delightfully friendly, which really makes the difference. Both the coffee and the croissants are excellent: simple, but well-made, and capable of making every stop enjoyable. A place I recommend, even (and especially) outside of the busiest hours.
