24/09/2025: In response to Mr. Alessandro's latest review, we'd like to make a few clarifications: The fresh lamb (400g of ribs, the most prized cut) has a price; The hamburger weighs 400g and is made from selected fresh meat; The salad, a COOP brand, is deliberately packaged for hygiene reasons and costs €4; Regarding meat prices, the customer's statements are false, because the average price of our meat per plate is €3.50-€4 per 100g (Piedmontese, Marchigiana, Garronese, etc.); every week, we add some special cuts, premium steaks (Simmenthal beef, Chianina, Finnish sashimi, etc.) at a variable price, from €5 to €6.50 per 100g per plate. The much-maligned frozen French fries are McCain. Please remember that we don't claim to be a Michelin-starred restaurant, but rather a simple butcher and grill shop that puts quality first. We kindly ask our customers to report any dissatisfaction immediately so we can rectify the situation, rather than pretending everything is fine and then hiding behind a keyboard. Thank you.

20/09/2025: Prices are now out of control compared to some time ago, and especially considering what you're getting. For a double hamburger, €18 is completely unjustified, because we're talking about a bit of ground beef with industrial-grade bread and sauces, not homemade, accompanied by a paltry amount of industrial-grade frozen fries, less than half a portion, I think, and a €33 Coke. It's absolutely not worth it. The €16 lamb ribs platter would be three pieces of bone on an empty plate, not even a bit of salad or a lemon wedge as a garnish or side dish. It's sad. You should get two portions for dinner, but then you'd go to Heinz Beck. Let's move on to the side dishes: the frozen chicory is Eurospin quality, and the salad is the one in a bag. They have to be paid separately, like €5 if I remember correctly, which is exaggerated, given that the first vegetable is frozen and the second is the bagged mix that can be found everywhere for €1 a pack. I mean... there's not even the work behind it to justify it. Moreover, it's a fairly anonymous and out-of-the-way place where you arrive and immediately leave by car because there's nothing around. The wait staff is excellent, though. I can't comment on the quality of the meat, but it's definitely top-notch considering it costs 70 euros per kg.

19/10/2025: Very disappointed with the welcome we received upon our arrival on Saturday, October 18, 2025. The service was sloppy and served like a Formula 1 meal so we could have a second course. I ordered Gnocchi but it was too soft marshmallow. Avoid only the locals in Cervaro like it 😡

24/08/2025: The appetizer was mediocre, it seemed more like an aperitif, and two slices of pizza cost €23 per person, a small plate of chips and a cutlet cost €14. OVERWHELMING. I come from a seaside area, and I assure you, the price is much lower, and it's a lot of food. The result: 10 people went there for the first time, and we were truly disappointed.

09/11/2025: I'm missing more than one product from my order, a disastrous McDrive, cold fries, and still frozen croquettes. SHAMEFUL!

27/10/2025: Pleasant and clean atmosphere, attentive and courteous staff, and authentic, delicious ingredients. I ordered the house special: fresh pasta with pumpkin cream, guanciale, and pecorino cheese. The presentation was exquisite and the flavor unbeatable. The freshly sliced, homemade bread and the house white wine were an excellent accompaniment, along with, of course, the ever-present Fiuggi water. I couldn't resist the homemade dessert, a delicious ricotta and chestnut tart. Thank you, Cinzia, for your passion in creating a unique sensory experience! Long live the New Bistro! 🥰🎉😋

03/10/2025: This small pizzeria is great for a quick lunch break. There's also a few seats if you want to eat right there. The staff is really friendly, which can sometimes make a difference. The pizza is slightly thick and a bit spongy (in a good way ☺️). They have a variety of flavors, my favorites being the Margherita and stuffed vegetable pizza. Vegetarian options and those without mozzarella are also available. I eat everything, but I know it's always helpful to have reviews that specify this. Potato pizza, red pizza, vegetable pizza, red pizza with mushrooms, and fresh arugula pizza, for example, all don't have mozzarella. I also recommend their fried foods, and if you're looking for roast chicken to eat at home, they'll have those too. Parking: It's a quick stop; if you're getting takeout and driving, you might want to pull over, depending on the time of day. Also, it's a small town in Alatri, so parking isn't an issue when considering a pizzeria. Let's say it's great for the afternoon or evening if you're out for a walk and want to have lunch or dinner while walking with a slice of pizza :)

31/08/2025: I've been there several times and always had a good experience, but on my most recent visit (August 2025), unfortunately, the evening was quite disappointing: there were eight of us and we ate practically as if we were two separate groups, as we were served in batches, and that alone would be enough for a negative review. Furthermore, the pizzas were all burned on one side, a sign that they were never turned once in the oven. And the drizzle of oil at the end was missing, which isn't a quirk, but an ingredient. Very bad, then; I hope things improve.

13/09/2025: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A rare gem: food that excites, a warm welcome What can I say... there are restaurants where you eat well, and then there are places like this, where every detail is designed to make you feel pampered. The staff? Genuine kindness, not superficial. Present but never intrusive, with a sincere smile and a passion you can feel. Absolutely worth a try ❤️

12/07/2025: A great experience that happened by chance. The owner was very kind. The truffle was fresh and delicate. We'll be back.

08/10/2025: A hidden mountaintop restaurant worth the hike to reach (you can also easily get there by car). We arrived for lunch and there was only Uncle Tom, who is a wonderful host, an exceptional cook, and a man of great spirit and kindness. When it came time to pay, there was no internet connection to pay by card, so we had to go downstairs to use a debit card. Uncle Tom was incredibly kind and had no hesitation in letting us go so he could come back to settle the bill—not a given for a restaurant owner! Everything was delicious, but I personally recommend the maltagliati with beans and guanciale—a true delicacy.

16/08/2025: We arrived at 1:00 PM and stayed until 5:30-6:00 PM. We waited an hour for the appetizer, and that's not even mentioning the rest, especially for dessert, which consisted of a glass filled with ice cream. We waited an hour for it, as if it were a dish that required a long preparation. Furthermore, the fettuccine was soft, the truffle was indistinguishable, and the porcini mushrooms tasted like they were pickled; they were sour. The only redeeming feature was the meat. Even though it was a little burned, it was still good. Furthermore, the place was also dirty, and the knife I received was very dirty.

29/06/2025: I understand inflation, but about €2.20 this strip… guys the crisis doesn't just affect you but also those who buy, so if the situation is like this I'll make the pizza at home… 3 pieces this thin I spent €7 Ps: yes, and in the area it's the first time I've received a slice this thin. If the prices are two euros then I don't know what the calculations are for the people at the cash register. I'm sorry but if you reduce the portions you have to accept that customers notice it. I'm sorry.
