12/08/2025: Gio the pizza chef, besides being a very pleasant person, makes amazing pizza. I was there in the summer, a nice place with a nice outdoor area to eat. Highly recommended.

26/07/2025: A delightful discovery near my house. I've been wanting to go there forever, and finally I did. I'll be brief: the seafood is top-notch, there's a wide selection of wines, and the staff is professional and friendly. The location, overlooking the house, isn't the best, but that's not their fault. In any case, the place is fully air-conditioned and comfortable. Prices are in line with the quality.

10/07/2025: Poor food quality at exorbitant prices!! We went to this place attracted by the combination of a fishmonger and a restaurant, expecting to find at least some fresh, high-quality fish prepared by them. We ordered a marinated mix that included salmon, swordfish, and anchovies, but only once it arrived did the waiter tell us that swordfish wasn't suitable. Unfortunately, only after ordering did we go inside to use the bathroom and realize that all the marinated fish was actually a mass-market product, as from their counter you could clearly see pre-packaged fish, truly low-quality and tasteless. Then we ordered cod meatballs, which tasted only of bread and potatoes and not even a distant memory of fish, all accompanied by objectively good grilled vegetables. First courses: tagliolini allo scoglio and rigatoni with shrimp and Bronte pistachios (which didn't arrive), both tasted only of fish broth, which gave them a bland flavor. Finally, a bottle of ARGIOLAS Vermentino di Sardegna wine for €25. Total dinner was €115, a complete waste of money. NOT RECOMMENDED!

12/08/2025: I went in this restaurant twice (dinner with my sister and lunch with my mother) and it was always an excellent experience. The owner idea that you choose the sauce and the pasta separately is great. Basically you can really fit your taste and if you have dietary restrictions (as I do) it is really great. First day I took the rice with clams and mussels in white and it was really good and next the rice with squid's ink and was also very good. I took roasted fish, jumbo shrimps and calamari and i was quite satisfied. Some people in my party took the fried fish and found it crunchy to perfection. The gluten-free cheesecake was also excellent. The service is a bit slow but very careful. The price is also a bargain.

22/06/2025: This is the second time we have dined at this restaurant, and I can only confirm the excellent success of the dinner. Simple and homely food, but absolutely excellent and genuine.. a round of applause for the porcini mushroom risotto, always excellent. Generous portions. Helpful and always kind staff. The only flaw, blameless but not remediable, is the winding road to get there and the parking lot, not suitable for large SUVs; all this is repaid by a nice cool even on summer evenings. Definitely a nice discovery. We will definitely be back

24/08/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars We came to this restaurant on the recommendation of an acquaintance, accompanied by a group of friends. The atmosphere is pleasant, with new and well-appointed furnishings, and the welcome was quick and friendly. We ordered two appetizers, two first courses, and four second courses. The dishes were well-executed, especially the first courses, which we found to be truly successful. The fried foods, however, seemed a bit on the small side, while the desserts were good and beautifully presented. Overall, a positive experience, with a price in the medium-high range.

09/07/2025: Consistently good cuisine, but with a few setbacks compared to the past I returned to Frantoio di Lubrano after some time, driven by the excellent memories of previous experiences. A restaurant nestled in the tranquility of the countryside, with a rustic and welcoming atmosphere, which had won me over in the past for both the quality of the dishes, the generous portions, and the variety of the offerings. Unfortunately, this time the experience fell a bit short of expectations. The quality of the cuisine remains good: the dishes are prepared with fresh and well-cooked ingredients, the flavors are authentic, and the attention to detail in the preparation is evident. However, what I noticed—and what made the difference—was a noticeable reduction in portions, which in the past were one of the restaurant's strong points. This time, the portion sizes were rather small, and in some cases barely adequate. Another slightly disappointing aspect was the menu, which seemed much more limited than usual. There was little choice, especially for first and second courses, and no real surprises or specials of the day. I understand the desire to focus on quality or seasonality, but such a limited menu makes it harder to find something to please everyone, especially during a dinner with friends or family. The service was courteous and prompt, as always, and the staff was helpful and friendly. The atmosphere remains pleasant: refined, quiet, and perfectly in keeping with the setting. The atmosphere, therefore, continues to have its charm. I sincerely hope it was a special evening or a temporary phase, because Frantoio di Lubrano has everything it takes to offer a high-quality experience, as it has always done in the past. I will definitely give it another chance, hoping to rediscover the mix of abundance, variety, and flavor that made it a must-visit in the area.

07/09/2025: Worth noting is the kindness and courtesy of all the dining room staff, but the place was too crowded for the number of waiters, resulting in poor service and very long waits for arrosticini and pizzas.

05/09/2025: The service is excellent (especially some of the waiters: friendly and attentive), the food is good, and best of all, there's parking! Perhaps the inside dining room (on the ground floor) is a little noisy when it's busy, but nothing bothersome; the outside dining room, on the other hand, is perfect. The only flaw is that they recently raised the prices, and perhaps the bill is a bit too high for the (spartan) venue and location (off the ring road). Let's be clear, €40 per person is the price you pay almost everywhere these days, but at this point, I'm not sure I'd travel all these miles (and traffic) to get there.

01/05/2025: Pessimi, il primo Maggio dopo aver prenotato piu’ di un mese fa, arriviamo davanti al ristorante e lo troviamo chiuso! Non ci hanno avvisato della chiusura e non hanno risposto ai miei messaggi, dopo qualche minuto pubblicano una storia su instagram scrivendo che sono chiusi. Il rispetto per le persone e per i clienti e’ la prima cosa. Disorganizzati e maleducati!

23/02/2025: Ristorantino scoperto per caso poco distante dal centro più rumoroso di Sabaudia. Mi ha colpito la location intima e l'en place minimale e delicato. La signora che ci ha accolto è stata gentilissima, molto ospitale e per nulla invadente. Ogni piatto ci è stato raccontato brevemente, ma con amore e precisione. Ho apprezzato l'impiattamento molto curato, le porzioni assolutamente giuste e la cura nell'esaltazione dei gusti di materie prime di per sé eccellenti. Consiglio: la tartare di ombrina, il petto d'oca affumicato, i carciofi fritti e il cavolo nero saltato. Tra i dolci, squisite la cheesecake, stranamente per nulla stucchevole, e la crema catalana. Conto molto onesto: 90€ per un antipasto, due piatti principali, un contorno, due dolci e due calici. Questo ristorante è il mio nuovo riferimento a Sabaudia. Consigliatissimo!
