19/10/2025: Excellent cuisine… betrayed by the service. I rarely write negative reviews: I believe everyone deserves a second chance. But today, unfortunately, is my first. The food is truly excellent – ​​exceptional octopus, delicious paccheri with fondue and Bolognese ragù – carefully prepared, high-quality dishes. However, from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM for an appetizer and a first course, with only four baskets of bread as consolation… something is off. A restaurant is a balance: quality suppliers, superb cuisine, and top-notch staff. Here, however, the service was chaotic, slow, and poorly managed. Seven waiters for about 70 seats, but their roles were confused and their attitudes were irritable. Some worked double duty, others simply watched. The owner, visibly aloof, seemed more interested in the cash register than in the customers. In an osteria, conviviality should be the norm – not indifference. When asked to simply change the pasta shape (paying the difference, of course), the response was rude and annoyed: "It's not possible, we'd ruin the kitchen." We're talking about a pasta change, not a nuclear test. It's a shame, because the food is truly worth it, but with service like that and such a cold welcome, you risk seeing a shining star... quickly fade. Advice to the owner: the dining room is a reflection of the restaurant. If you ignore it, no amount of cuisine, no matter how excellent, can save you.
