About the food, absolutely nothing to complain about. Perhaps the best food I've ever eaten. But about the service. I won't go into details, but if I come to your restaurant, I expect a little more friendliness. Two stars, but I was also kind.

The quality of the fish is beyond question. Everything is truly delicious. The raw fish and tartare are excellent. For the second course, the tuna steak was cooked to perfection, and a sea bass cannolo is a must-try. The wine list is truly interesting. The quality/price ratio is excellent, especially if you're from the Viterbo area.

Nothing to complain about the food: generous and well-prepared dishes. Quality ingredients. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The service really leaves much to be desired: rude waiters and questionable menu choices. Let me explain: I don't think it's right to make dishes that aren't on the menu, or even off-menu, and only if the kitchen agrees... (seafood carbonara...). A dish is either made or not made...for everyone...you're not at home deciding to do as you please...Perplexed.

Located on the border between the municipalities of Cassino and Sant'Elia, this restaurant offers both meat and fish menus. The slightly above-average prices are justified by the excellent quality of the products and the restaurant's soulful atmosphere. A big compliment to the kitchen.

I'd never been there, but on a friend's recommendation, we went... and I can tell you, I ate very well. Now I should go back to order other dishes and see if everything is top-notch. I would have added a dessert or extra dark, dairy-free ice cream to the menu... but no restaurant has that, so never mind.

We discovered the cuisine of Antica Osteria da Walter through word of mouth from friends while we were looking for a chef for our baby's baptism lunch. From our first meeting, Walter impressed us deeply: with his preparation, refined taste, and desire to innovate without ever losing touch with tradition, but also with his friendliness and great professionalism. He listened attentively, expertly advising and guiding us in developing the menu, always respecting our needs. At the same time, he was firm on certain choices he considered fundamental—and in hindsight, we can say he was absolutely right. Together, we created a perfectly balanced menu, combining local tradition, the rediscovery of ancient flavors, and touches of experimentation. The lunch was a true success: from appetizer to dessert, every course was impeccable. The wine selection was also excellent. Attention to detail, excellent ingredients, harmonious pairings: everything was simply perfect. We later returned to the osteria for dinner, and the experience fully met our expectations: top-quality ingredients, tasty and well-balanced dishes, and a welcoming atmosphere. Not only do I highly recommend this place, but I've already decided I'll be back often to continue discovering new dishes.
