04/01/2025: My husband and I only stop here when we are at the lake. Luxurious rooms, you feel like a queen here, top class service, very tasty and elegant breakfasts and super spa. This is one of the best hotels, in my opinion its price should be much higher.

11/05/2025: Beautiful location in front of the lake, very good food and I didn't sleep in the rooms but my friends' rooms and they were small but beautiful. I took my communion there on 1/5/25 and also the boss was very kind but a bit expensive but they made us a beautiful table for both lunch and dinner ❤️very nice five stars

10/05/2025: We had dinner two consecutive evenings in this place a stone's throw from the hotel where we were staying...very good first courses...ditto for the pizzas...taste the semifreddo with the bitterness of the capo....exquisite like the chocolate mousse...enchanting view of Lake Garda at sunset....

09/06/2025: Wir waren zum Abendessen in der Osteria al Porto . Wir können nur sagen dies ist ein Durchlauferhitzer. Schnell die Speisen servieren und dann abkassieren …. wie können nur sagen … absolut nicht zu empfehlen❗️ Wir kamen um 19:10 Uhr und um 20:37 Uhr erklärte uns der Kellner … bis dahin mäßig nett … es wird Zeit 8: 30 Uhr ist Time❗️Wir konnten noch niemals unsere Flasche Wein austrinken. Wir wußten erst garnicht was er wollte … man darf wahrscheinlich nur 1,5 Stunden dort verweilen. Für uns ein No-Go. Die bestellten Rovioli waren Supermarktwa.re und einer Osteria nicht würdig. Wir können nur sagen …. wenn diese traditionellen Gerichte nicht mehr handwerklich gefertigt werden … ist der Untergang zwangsläufig. Es sei denn die Gäste legen mehr Wert auf gesehen werden als auf guten Geschmack❗️

03/06/2025: At dinner with a group of colleagues we tried many different dishes, all of medium or high quality. In the opinion of 8 people, coming from various parts of Italy, the food was generally a bit too seasoned/greasy. The three waiters who took turns at our table were hasty and allowed themselves some unsolicited comments.

29/05/2025: This restaurant was recommended to us to try the typical local cuisine: bigoli with donkey ragù delicious! Roast horse with potatoes for my husband who, being celiac, could not taste the first courses, for this reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5. If you are not intolerant to gluten I definitely recommend it! Alternatively, polenta is always available to accompany the second courses. The desserts are also good.🤗

25/05/2025: Delicious food, great service, and an indescribable view all the way to Lake Garda make this restaurant worth a visit for everyone. We were initially a bit put off by the front area—it was quite warm and stuffy. But if you walk further, you'll find the back area, which is more open and cozy. There's also a spacious roof terrace inside the fortress with a great view.

25/05/2025: Very characteristic and medieval place, welcoming atmosphere and courteous service. I tried the rib and sauerkraut. The meat was good overall, although not particularly tender. The sauerkraut, on the other hand, seemed not very tasty, a bit anonymous compared to expectations. The krostel was tastier and more inviting although it still lacked that something to make it top. The portions are abundant and the price is right, in line with what is offered. Overall a decent experience, with some details to improve.

19/05/2025: The location, initially, inspires positive judgments. But the experience, immediately after, turns out to be totally negative. We were "placed" in a dimly lit area connecting to the reception hall. The table service was poor to the point of terrible (one example is the waitress, when cutting the cake, she cleaned the cream left on her fingers, licking them). The quality of the cuisine was that of a fixed-price business lunch. The portions were from a children's menu. The bathroom was reduced to a swimming pool. The cake, even though it was a communion to which 30 people were invited, was completely anonymous, without decorations or greetings. The judgment can only be negative.

09/05/2025: Beautiful location, especially for weddings.

22/05/2025: We were here for a short trip. You can drive to the hotel and park for 30 minutes at the municipal parking lot to unload. At reception, you can then scan a QR code to find the location for free parking just outside the center. It's about a 15-minute leisurely walk along the lake promenade. It's really doable. Our room (on the second floor with a balcony overlooking the square) was very nicely furnished and comfortable. Although we're not city dwellers, the noise level was bearable. The staff, as we've often read, is very dedicated and friendly. We also found the pizzeria to be good. The location is ideal for exploring the town on foot and experiencing Malcesine. We would love to stay here again and can highly recommend the hotel.

20/05/2025: Hotel in the heart of the old town. Parking is a bit remote, but access via the pedestrian walkway along the lake is quite pleasant. Spacious room with convenient luggage storage. The reception is a bit limited, and luggage is left outside the bar/restaurant door, which is a bit of a shame.

05/05/2025: Food was almost decent but quite tasteless. Service was awful because it took them 80 minutes to bring our food. Atmosphere was really great and my favourite part. Overall I would recommend not going near this place if you don’t want to wait hours and eat tasteless food.

05/05/2025: The service was really slow. We waited up to 80 minutes for our first meals to arrive. The food was avarage and there wasn’t too many customers, no idea why it took so long.

10/06/2025: I haven't been so disappointed by a restaurant in a long time. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio here isn't right at all.

06/04/2025: The best happy hour in Pienza, fair prices, great drinks, and they always have a variety of snacks on the counter to share. The best time to arrive is 6:00 p.m., when people who live and work in Pienza start arriving, and you can always strike up a conversation. After the cathedral bell rings 8 times, the happy hour ends, and then it’s time to go to a restaurant. Great atmosphere and an exceptional view of the Val D’Orcia.

19/04/2025: Very good seafood and fish, delicious carbonara, attentive service and perfect location. But given the taste of my second pasta dish and the fish tartare, you could expect a little more spice. But that's just my personal opinion...
