27/12/2025: We stopped for a quick, light lunch for two.
Torta al testo with chicory and sausage, eggplant parmigiana (baked), and a touch of warm focaccia with olive oil and rosemary. Everything was impeccable, as was the service (which was also friendly and courteous).
Plus, dining outside in the warm late-December sun is a real treat.
We'll definitely be back.
21/12/2025: A wonderful moment in mid-November, just the two of us on the sunny terrace, enjoying a meal worthy of the finest Italian chefs and a glass of excellent Montefalco wine.

22/10/2025: Disappointing experience at Pozzo Romano
We visited Pozzo Romano restaurant with a group of 15 colleagues, but unfortunately, the experience was very negative. The staff was unwelcoming and rushed, with no attention to the customer. The meal was of poor quality, with poorly prepared and flavorless dishes. In a city as renowned for its hospitality and good cuisine as Assisi, we expected much better. We do not recommend this restaurant.

29/06/2025: Unfortunately, my review from a few years ago no longer reflects reality. The CUS club, including the Bambagioni club and its pool, are managed superficially, lacking care, concern, or respect for its members. The tennis courts are semi-impractical, there's little or no heating in the winter, and the pool is often under maintenance. Not to mention the rudeness of some of the staff... I'm very sorry; it used to be a little oasis.

02/09/2025: The problem isn't the place, it's not the food, it's the staff!
I know it's difficult to handle the public, but the waiters who themselves tell you to arrive at 9:30/9:45 PM find seats for three people, and you arrive at that time with a smile, kind and very polite, mentioning that they spoke on the phone and tried to make a reservation, but they told me there was no need for a reservation and to just show up, there was room.
In the end, they show up with arrogance and superficiality.
The behavior of the managers/waiters themselves makes the place.

Imagine the complete opposite, with the addition of a relatively exorbitant price tag, including fake barbecue!
01/01/2026: Unfortunately, feeling hungry, we stopped at this roadside trattoria. If we'd read the reviews, we'd definitely have gone straight there... the prices were completely out of line with the quality of the food and quite unjustified. For example, the €12 slice of bread was clearly served with discount truffle sauce. Personally, I felt cheated. In those parts, opt for a decent, honest sandwich elsewhere.

03/05/2025: We wanted a simple agriturismo with authentic Umbrian food, without too many pretensions. Parking and location were fine, the veranda was spartan but adequate for the type of place, and the girls at the tables were very friendly. Then we were told the gnocchi and tagliatelle were homemade, and we were served two plates of clearly "industrial" pasta topped with a sticky white ragù. With two courses each (appetizer/first course) and three side dishes, the price for 4 people was €35 per person, without dessert. Disappointing.
I'm giving it two stars only because the artichoke salad was good.

02/06/2025: Tempi infiniti per l' ordinazione e comunque servizio disorganizzato al massimo. Primo arrivato con un capello poi comunque rimandato indietro. Nel complesso cibo discreto. Non lo consiglio in maniera decisa.
05/05/2025: Horrible servicio. No nos sentaron porque no teníamos reservas. Así que salí, hice una reserva en línea y volví y les dije que tenía reservas. Nos sentaron, pero estaban claramente molestos. Esto es a pesar de que el restaurante nunca estuvo más de 2 / 3 lleno.
El servicio era extremadamente lento, sacaban las cosas a diferentes horas, etc. Además, la comida era promedio, en el mejor de los casos. No muy sabroso. Gran decepción.

We weren't told what wine it was, nor were we shown the bottle.
We weren't asked how cooked the meat was.
We were served 2 cuts of steak.
2 side dishes, "sautéed vegetables with chili pepper," were 2 plates of broccoli. No comment.
There are many other places in Cascia where the food is much better... look elsewhere.

26/02/2026: I recently visited this 1950s-style American diner. Compared to last year, it's a completely different story: a clear improvement. The atmosphere is clean and welcoming. The staff is extremely kind and helpful. The food was delicious and served quickly. The speed of service allowed us to go to the cinema right after dinner and catch the first show without any rush. A special mention goes to the Royal States Burger, a must-try. Highly recommended for a light, casual evening. I'll definitely be back!
21/02/2026: I returned after a couple of years, and I must say I've rediscovered the burger restaurant I once was... in fact, maybe even better!
The staff is extremely kind and always available, the food is excellent, well-prepared, and served very quickly. You can sense attention and care in every detail.
The prices are also really fair: for the quantity and quality you eat, you would spend significantly more elsewhere.
The location is another strong point, especially its proximity to the cinema: perfect for organizing a dinner before or after the movie.
I recommend it without hesitation, even just for a pleasant and carefree evening, immersed in a splendid 1950s American-style atmosphere!
