12/12/2024: Perhaps the best dinner I've ever had, difficult to even describe. I was amazed by the flavours, even different ones, that were released with every bite of the same dish. Even from a simple wild boar pasta, sensations never felt before emerged. It was a real experience! Satisfied and happy. I can't wait to return

27/11/2024: Abbiamo trascorso un fine settimana di assoluto relax! Appena entrati in questo casale abbiamo avuto la sensazione di sentirci a casa e così è stato.. L'ambiente è curato e pulito; la camera La Piccionaia molto spaziosa, particolare, confortevole, letto comodo. La cena è stata superlativa! Prodotti di qualità e buon vino ci hanno davvero soddisfatti! Buona e genuina anche la colazione; servita sia con prodotti dolci che salati. Proprietari e staff sono stati davvero gentili e disponibili; torneremo di sicuro!

17/12/2024: Just a ten minute walk from Pisa’s Leaning Tower is this family-run, super authentic Tuscan spot. Enjoyed a terrific lunch and were delighted to meet the husband Stelio & wife Gracia who have spent the last 59 years in this Pisa culinary institution.

13/12/2024: I was there tonight for dinner with my yoga buddy. The food is delicious, plentiful, and the staff are very kind. Quality products, nice environment and the desserts are excellent!!

05/12/2024: Very small but really welcoming place! Meeting point for university students but above all for those away from home. Wide choice of liqueurs, bitters and much more. It is the perfect place to have an excellent aperitif in Pisa, I recommend the platter of the day, with fresh and varied products that change according to the season. The sandwiches are great and the cheesecake is the best I've ever had! I go back whenever I can.

30/08/2024: Arrived in Pisa later in the day for our last evening of holiday with virtually no expectations whatsoever of restaurant choice. Found this place and its good reviews. It turned out to be the best dinner of the whole holiday, the food was delicious, the prices were more than reasonable, cozy service but above all an exceptionally friendly and guiding waiter. He made our last night memorable! - A must in Pisa!

08/12/2024: Locale gia frequentato a cena, prima volta a pranzo con amici venuti da fuori e portati qui perché convinti di far provare un locale di livello per la carne. Abbiamo nel gruppo un bambino di 18 mesi che rimane senza pranzo perché la cucina non può cucinare la pastina in acqua, non hanno fornelli, solo griglie x carne. Scegliamo tre tagli , il primo arriva freddo su pietra fredda. Il motivo ce lo dice il proprietario: alle 12,30 non avevano riscaldato il forno, era troppo presto. Gli altri due tagli arrivano dopo lunga attesa nonostante la segnalazione che avevamo una tempistica da rispettare. Gli amici ci hanno chiesto perché li abbiamo portati. Un dispiacere perché la carne è ottima.

What disappointed us a little was the service; assuming that neither I nor my partner are knowledgeable about quality cuts of meat, we came to this restaurant looking for something new, an experience. When ordering we asked the waitress for advice on what to have and which wine to pair with that particular cut, unfortunately she wasn't able to tell us anything and we did it ourselves. We were lucky to choose, completely at random, a cut of meat that we liked. Well, perhaps a little more preparation, given the quantity of types of meat and wines, would have been appreciated.

07/11/2024: It is a good place to eat but I give this rating because it is the second time that I arrived an hour before closing and they no longer want to sell us. I would understand arriving 10 minutes before closing but I think an hour is excessive. They should change the schedule.

05/11/2024: Simple and delicious. The wild Boar was amazing. We took ours away and sat looking out at the amazing country views.

20/08/2024: It deserves 6 stars! The manager is very friendly, and the price-quality ratio is excellent. €10 per board and drink, for this quality, it’s really great, and the focaccia served with it is delicious. Thank you for this moment!

10/11/2024: Proprietario molto maleducato, chiediamo se possiamo bere dei caffè, prima ci fa accomodare e poi ci caccia, assolutamente sconsigliato.

19/10/2024: I gusti dei gelati sono tanti, squisiti e saporiti, senza essere né dolci né pesanti, inoltre il gestore è molto affabile.

07/12/2024: The first time I came to this restaurant was mid-August 2018, it was one of the few open in the area and it accepted us within half an hour of closing. Since that day we have come for every occasion or simply for a family dinner. We now consider this restaurant like home because it is a welcoming place with friendly and very approachable staff. The food is excellent with abundant dishes prepared with fresh, first choice and home-produced products.
