Beautiful garden, had a great meal. Lamb chops and beef tenderloin, grilled vegetables and a good glass of wine. Friendly service. Close to the amphitheater.

A fantastic trattoria with a beautiful outdoor seating area in the back, slightly off the beaten tourist track. The menu isn't overwhelming. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. I highly recommend this trattoria! 👍

What delicious food in a beautiful, peaceful courtyard! A hidden gem in the narrow streets of Lucca. We were served a welcome bean soup by the kitchen, and afterwards we finished the homemade pasta.

15/05/2026: Every time we are in Lucca we make sure to have dinner at Antica Locanda dell'Angelo. This is a very elegant restaurant located in the historic center with amazing food and a wonderfully kind, welcoming staff. The food they prepare is a fresh and delicious interpretation of traditional Luccese fare. We have been welcomed back by Vito and Stefania on every occasion and we have never been disappointed.
12/05/2026: Lucca's historic restaurant, impeccably managed and offering a varied and delicately refined menu. Mr. Vito and his mother, who have run it for decades, are extremely kind and well-mannered, and it's always an honor and a true pleasure to delight your palate with their dishes. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
