11/08/2026: A pleasant discovery in Pietrasanta. La Mariposa Gastronomia-Ristorante is a simple and welcoming place where you can eat well without spending too much. I really appreciated the convenience of the parking, a detail that is far from a given, and the presence of a restroom, which makes stopping in even more convenient. The prices are truly affordable and allow you to eat in peace without sacrificing quality. A casual, comfortable, and pleasant place, ideal for a break without too many pretensions but with a good quality-price ratio. I would gladly return.
08/08/2026: Great authentic taste of Italy. It may not look like a fancy restaurant but that is the point, you get real food with a traditional great taste.

But the food was delicious!
19/05/2026: Excellent pizzeria; all the ingredients we tried were top-quality and well-cooked.
The appetizers were well-fried, leaving no grease on your hands, and the pizza was cooked to perfection, with plenty of toppings and flavor.
The atmosphere was simple and elegant. The service was fast, attentive, and helpful.
The price was reasonable: for two, we spent €44.
Definitely worth a try! We'll definitely be back, even though we live half an hour from Lucca.

11/08/2026: A splendid place with air conditioning, the service was always attentive, precise, and never stuffy.
We had the Fiorentina steak, which was very good but not perfect; I would have preferred it more rare.

17/05/2026: The location is fantastic, right on a beautiful square with a lovely atmosphere. There was a singer performing and an antique market taking place, which made it especially enjoyable to sit outside in the sun and soak everything in. The aperitivo was good, and the staff was pleasant.
The food, however, was disappointing and quite overpriced for the quality offered. I don’t regret trying, but considering the incredible food scene in this city, there are definitely better options available.

An added bonus is the display of pastries and croissants: a gluten-free breakfast that's excellent, even the next day!
02/06/2026: The fried fish and tuna were top-notch, so much so that we returned two nights in a row. The wine selection was good and the prices were more than fair. The waiter, whose name we don't know but who was known as "Vale," was attentive and entertaining, always discreetly present... One of those employees to be reckoned with. Every city needs a "Ponteria" and every restaurant a "Vale."

10/06/2026: Very nice restaurant, with vegetarian dishes inspired by Italian and international cuisine. They even made a cheesecake, which I love! Excellent service and kindness.

But the real added value was the owner: an extremely qualified and knowledgeable person, able to recommend the best dishes and matching wines, all with a rare warmth and touch. You feel at home, yet pampered like in a Michelin-starred restaurant. We will definitely be back.

12/08/2026: We went to this place for the first time, and we will definitely be back to eat there. Excellent Florentine steak, equally good side dishes and an incredible selection of wines. Very attentive service, kind and helpful waiters, exceptional price, highly recommended.
11/08/2026: A really nice place with good service. They were kind and good with english. And they even gave us a small dish before our dinner from the chef and watermelon after.

06/08/2026: We only came in the afternoon for coffee for the parents and soft drinks for our children.
The atmosphere on the terrace is very pleasant.
The owner brought the children their Sprite and Fanta and accidentally mixed up the glasses. My daughter got the glass with lemon slices for her Fanta, and my son got the glass with orange juice for his Sprite.
This wasn't a problem for us or the children at all. The owner then surprisingly brought out a bowl of chips as compensation.
For us, he is a truly passionate host.
06/08/2026: We received a friendly welcome and were able to communicate well in English. The food is very good, but not cheap.
