The quality of the meat is superior, everything is wonderful from the entrée that is different every evening to the desserts made to perfection as tradition dictates, passing through the vast selection of "meat". If you pass through Lucca, this is the right place to come and eat meat.

18/06/2025: During a midweek lunch break, I stopped at the Pucci butcher shop, run by Luca, with the idea of ​​grabbing a quick bite. I was absolutely not expecting what I found: a true taste experience. As soon as I entered, I was greeted with a smile by Luca, who in addition to being an expert butcher, is also a perfect host. You can immediately see that he loves his job: the care in the service, the selection of meats, and that authentic passion that makes even the simplest moment of the day special. For lunch, a spectacular steak awaited me – cooked to perfection, tasty, tender, juicy. The kind that makes you forget that you are only there for a work break. It seemed to have come straight from a Sunday barbecue in the countryside, but with a level of quality and attention that are rarely found even in the most renowned restaurants. The place is simple, genuine, without frills: just how I like it. Here the protagonist is the meat, and nothing else is needed. What can I say? A true marvel. If you are in Lucca and want to eat well, authentically and with heart, stop by Luca alla Macelleria Pucci. Even just for a steak during your lunch break… it will remain in your memory.

02/07/2025: I went to dinner this evening, the place is beautiful! Outdoors in the historic center of Lucca. The staff was very kind, knowledgeable and super helpful! The food is very good and quality, a truly incredible place! Highly recommended!

22/06/2025: I chose the Caesar salad hoping that the chef knows the famous recipe created by Cesare Cardini, an Italian who emigrated to Mexico. Instead of disappointment, ingredients such as parmesan and hard-boiled eggs were missing, the croutons were very dry and tasteless and the sauce seemed to have been bought at the supermarket. Too bad!

They really think it is a five-star restaurant... Their welcome is marked by waiters, adorned with countless vulgar and flashy tattoos and in ankle-length Bermuda shorts, without a smile or a gesture of courtesy. The table assignment is done with inelegant gestures, and the wait to receive the menu lasts for twenty minutes. The portions are insignificant (oh, but of course, we are still talking about a five-star restaurant...), and when an unexpected dish is served, it is necessary to deduce what it is and how to taste it. If you have the audacity to ask for directions on how to proceed, the answer is a dry indication: "With your hands, put it in your mouth". And what about the prices? Just to give an example, a simple spritz costs ten euros. These are, without a doubt, amateurs in disarray. STAY AWAY

The tourist menu at euros has to be seen to be believed. A choice of 5 primi , 5 secondi , half a bottle of wine and half a bottle of water, the dishes authentic locally produced and more like those from Nonna's kitchen than an impersonal ristorante. The coffee is extra and is very good. Go and enjoy a very special experience.
