15/09/2025: An evening with friends at this historic Lucca restaurant, which used to be my Thursday lunch stop with schoolmates in the early '90s when it was called "Fratelli Bandiera"... and a lot of water has passed under the bridge, and I've found the place much improved!! But above all, kudos to the people who run it—I don't know their name, but at the cash register, like the person who churned out pizzas, focaccias, calzones, and more...and also to the staff serving tables, all welcoming, friendly, helpful, kind, and quick. The cooked focaccia and mozzarella and cecina were very, very good. Wait for me, I'll be back soon! Katia

13/09/2025: Excellent food in a beautiful square shaded by plane trees. What more could you ask for?! I was in Lucca 4 years ago and am returning today. When I thought about what to eat, I immediately thought of coming here. The platter is truly excellent, just as I remembered it!

15/08/2025: We've been coming to this place for many years. It's a historic pizza spot in Lucca. A family atmosphere welcomes customers and makes them feel at home. The pizza is excellent; I love Calogero's pita bread, which I think is the best. They also have a good selection of beers and desserts; the croccantino is a classic. The place also offers outdoor seating under a pergola overlooking a fully enclosed and well-kept garden, where children can play safely in a small playground.

21/08/2025: We went last night, and I must say the experience far exceeded my expectations. The tagliatelle al ragù was simply extraordinary: perfectly cooked pasta and topped with a rich, flavorful ragù. The pork shank with potatoes was truly a surprise: incredibly tender and beautifully seasoned. The service also deserves special mention: the waiters were always attentive and helpful. The wine list is also noteworthy, very extensive and featuring select labels that pair perfectly with the dishes. The warm and welcoming atmosphere made everything even more enjoyable. It's definitely a place we'll happily return to.

03/08/2025: The pizza? Absolutely disgusting!!! We went based on the reviews: the best pizza in Viareggio, the meat reigns supreme...what the heck?! People just don't understand anything. And the steak? First of all, they show it to you raw, and they don't serve it pre-sliced; it looked like it was made. Terrible service; the waiter doesn't greet you, throws the menus at the table, and it takes forever to eat. The place is awful; it was incredibly hot, they didn't turn on the air conditioning, the beer arrived warm, the table wobbled... terrible experience.

16/07/2025: Very nice place, fast and precise service. The menu is very varied, the only flaw being that, being intolerant to shellfish, I tried to choose everything based on meat and vegetables, but the surprise was finding 3 shrimp inside the mixed grill of meat... the clerk apologized, telling me that if I had pointed out my allergy, she would have given me a specific menu in Italian with all the ingredients... let's say a 50/50 error.... above the norm price, about €50 per couple, in my opinion excessive even if the quality of the food was good.

22/06/2025: The best Chinese restaurant in the whole province and beyond! Long-standing family management. Very tasty and well-made dishes (the steamed dumplings are fantastic!). Cheap prices and fast service

31/08/2025: The price of the pizzas is unjustified. A small buffalo mozzarella pizza, with little toppings and little mozzarella, costs €12. I don't recommend it.

22/08/2025: Top! A welcoming place, with friendly and helpful staff. Incredible first courses... the spaghetti with clams and zucchini cream is unforgettable, and the pizzas are amazing! Crispy and soft dough, served sliced, and each slice is topped perfectly!! Highly recommended!

08/06/2025: Excellent pastry shop, fresh and varied products, ice cream that finally tastes like the described flavor and not just cold water! Well done, a jewel in the crown of the neighborhood and hopefully not only!

13/08/2025: The place is very well-kept, colorful, and welcoming, as is the entire staff, who were friendly and, above all, knowledgeable in explaining each dish served. The quality of the dishes was top-notch, everything was delicious! 😉

17/08/2025: I went this evening with my wife and compared to the previous time I was a bit disappointed by the lack of food available at the counter and when I asked I was told that there was nothing left but only what was on the counter, too bad because it was only 8pm.
