13/08/2025: We ate at the restaurant. For the price, something was missing... The tagliatelle with ragù was good. Of the three pieces of mutton that arrived, one was cooked well, the others were not. The grill was dirty, leaving blackened bits in the food. The fried mushrooms were indigestible. The desserts were decent, and the panna cotta was good. The waiters were young and cheerful.

11/08/2025: Huge pizza called AMICI for 6 people, delicious both in terms of dough and ingredients. Quick and accurate. We ate outside in a beautiful location; the owner also came out and is very friendly and attentive to the customer. I will definitely be back because it's worth it.

12/08/2025: Just left the place. Nice atmosphere, no doubt about it, more elegant than the bar I remember and frequented until the 2000s, since I lived a stone's throw away. Excellent coffee, but 1.50 seems excessive for a macchiato. Unpleasant experience due to an employee who pretended not to know me despite my cordial greeting. After all, politeness isn't for everyone. Otherwise, the staff was smiling and friendly.

05/02/2025: I had the pizza for two consecutive days because the first evening the pizza was superb, the ingredients were excellent, the dough was soft but well cooked and leavened. Excellent I would say. Unfortunately, on the second evening when I brought it home in the open boxes it was completely limp and wet. Now I'm in doubt whether to give another chance to see which of the two versions is the real one... I'll try again and tell you

24/12/2024: Had a lovely dinner here - great service, cool atmosphere and some very, very good dishes, especially the tropea onion, the (gluten free!) cold spaghetti and the risotto. Recognizable Italian/Tuscan dishes with a creative twist of unexpexted flavor combinations. I'm still debating whether I found the carrot and avocado dessert to be a success ;) but I am certainly intrigued -- to be surprised like this is definitely something I look for in restaurants. I very much recommend Essenziale and find out yourself!

21/06/2025: Pastries that were really too sweet and a cappuccino that the barista left under the machine for five minutes while she was busy serving a group: the result? It arrived lukewarm. The most incredible thing is the prices: €1.50 for a pastry and €1.50 for a cappuccino. Well, the fact is that we tried it.

30/06/2025: I don't usually write negative reviews but in this case I hope it helps us improve. We booked for a family dinner. The products were quite good but heavy overall. For example, my Marzamemi sandwich with caramelized onions, tuna and dried tomatoes was incredibly greasy (maybe the ingredients weren't drained enough!) I asked for some chips on the side and was told they had nachos (basically the ones in a bag and put in a bowl). The desserts were quite good but we struggled to finish them because they were cloying. The bill of 107 euros for 4 with a 20% The Fork discount so 26.75 per person seemed excessive to me especially because we weren't satisfied.

13/07/2025: A rich menu of first courses, appetizers, fried foods, and pizzas awaits you at this restaurant, which for several years served a tennis club in Sesto Fiorentino and has now taken over the restaurant at the "La Fiorita" center in Florence. There are indoor and outdoor tables for dining, surrounded by tennis, paddle, and soccer courts. We ordered coccoli with prosciutto and stracchino and Ascoli olives as an entree, which even the little ones loved. A delicious selection of pizzas; we recommend the Vide Napoli with sausage and broccoli rabe. Chef Simone's touch is excellent!

01/04/2025: A welcoming and refined atmosphere made the lunch enjoyable. The attentive and courteous service contributed to a relaxing atmosphere. The pasta was truly delicious and inviting. A small increase in portions would make the experience even more satisfying. Overall, a good option for a business lunch without too many expectations. I recommend booking.
