22/08/2025: Famiglia Gori is truly breathtaking. The grounds are beautifully maintained, with a convenient parking area including two EV charging stations, and there's a beautiful pool where you can truly unwind. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is also well-prepared. However, there are a few things that make the experience less complete. The maintenance of the (bath)rooms could be better, and it's a good idea to check the menu beforehand: there's a relatively large amount of offal and game, which might not be to everyone's taste. It's also worth noting that there's an additional charge for new pool towels and that there's no evening bar. The price-quality ratio is excellent, but unfortunately, my stay didn't quite live up to the expectations initially raised by the location. Other guests who have returned after a long absence confirmed the same disappointments on these points. In short: a beautiful place with potential, but unfortunately, I don't see a reason to return.

22/07/2025: I stopped by for a work lunch break and had a €12 menu with a first course and a huge salad. The first course was fantastic, with ragù and chicken livers, truly excellent. The prices were reasonable and the service and atmosphere were perfect. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area.

28/08/2025: Disappointing... both the tartare and the truffle pasta dish were subpar. The pasta was practically immersed in butter/oil. It was impossible to eat more than two forkfuls. It's a shame because we've always had good food. But the quality has deteriorated. Despite mentioning it, not even a coffee was offered.

The food was overall very good, with some truly excellent highlights: the homemade breadsticks were delicious, and the panna cotta with mousse was a very pleasant surprise. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and efficient. The only small flaw: the Fiorentina steak, while well-cooked and flavorful, wasn't as tender throughout as we expected. Overall, a great experience that we highly recommend. Price was reasonable.

31/05/2025: Amazing location, super friendly staff and Marco is a fantastic cook. Worth a small detour from the via degli Dei and take a rest day by the lovely pool if you have time. There's a fishing lake down the hill you can catch trout for lunch at!

11/07/2025: This was the third time staying a week at the Hotel Lungarno Florence, we were fortunate to get a room with a balcony and loved sitting outside after dinner for coffee and dessert. The Lungarno is the most Magnificent Hotel in all of Florence, one block to the Ponte Vecchio, convenient to everything, within walking distance to the Duomo, Michael Angelo's David and even a Laundry a half block away. The Rooms are quite large and beds are extremely comfortable, The towels are plush, the sheets feel like Egyptian Cotton, the Shampoos and Conditioners provided are top brands. It is apparent that the hotel staff takes great pride in the care and upkeep of the hotel and that Management spares no expense to accommodate their guests. The Staff graciously assisted with opening my wife's luggage (the lock was tampered with by ITA airline staff which jammed something into the lock to try to pry it open but failed). The Breakfast Buffet included all of our favorites dishes and drinks including fresh squeezed Blood Orange Juice and was enough to carry us through the days of climbing the Duomo Tower, visiting museums and touring the city. The Hotel is 5 star, the hotel staff are professional, knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. We did not feel like guests of the hotel, we felt like we were part of their family.

18/06/2025: Very unfriendly staff, I stopped to have a rest and catch up on some emails and was asked to leave after 30 minutes even though the bar was half empty. The guests next to me were also told in a rude way that they couldn’t move seats even though there were a lot of free tables - if you want to feel welcomed please don’t visit here

07/07/2025: Very nice place, ideal for an easy aperitif. Easily accessible, perhaps a little problematic parking, however the place was a nice discovery.

06/09/2025: Super unfriendly staff. I celebrated my birthday and they gave us a hard time delivering the cake. They also told us that cutting the cake would require an extra charge. We gave it another chance, and the staff was still the same, with a lack of enthusiasm for work. The food was average. I won't be back.

23/05/2025: I live in Markham, Canada - where some of the world’s finest Asian cuisine is; and this restaurant is absolutely authentic in its food. It was a lovely change of cuisine to visit Italy and get a solid ramen that tasted so original. Had the set ramen menu with the gyoza, spicy kimchi ramen, and a Japanese cheesecake to finish. All delicious through and through, highly recommended.

19/05/2025: I always go there very willingly, usually I take the Ciampon (a truly exquisite broth) but this time I wanted to try the Curry udon and I must say that I found it truly excellent 🤤 Of all the places I have tried both in Florence and I can't say that their ramen is unbeatable, all very fresh ingredients, hand-made noodles and the most important thing a truly excellent broth 💜 Highly recommended 💜
