A very pleasant place with a lovely outdoor seating area. I've had lunch here twice and the food has always been delicious and the service friendly. I highly recommend it!

We ordered Tagliata di Manzo, Tagliata di Tonno, and Spaghetti alla Carbonara, and for dessert, crepes with Nutella. EVERYTHING was perfect: the food, the service spectacular and super friendly, the price-quality ratio, the atmosphere, EVERYTHING!!!!!! I hope to come back. 😋😋😋

I arrived in Florence late at night and this was one of the only places still open after 9 or 10 pm. I'm definitely not disappointed. They make excellent pizza, I personally love the view from the terrace, and they are so attentive and patient. ✨

I've been to Le Carceri several times, both for an aperitivo when I lived downtown and just passing through in later years... and it's always a confirmation! Delicious pizza, incredibly kind and attentive staff, and truly high quality. All in a quiet and authentic corner of Florence, much loved by locals too. If you're coming to Florence, I absolutely recommend it! Now, living further away, I often arrive too late for lunch, but it's one of those places I always hope to return to.

The gnocchi alla sorrentina were spectacular. One of the best I've ever had! Mirella, the waitress, was super friendly and nice.

This is such a hidden gem! We went there way after 14h and were the only ones in the restaurant. We were treated like royals, the waitress super nice, the owner showing us around and telling us about the history od the building - the ex prison. The food was just perfect, what you think about the essence of Italian kitchen is what we experienced there - pure flavors, quality ingredients, perfection in simplicity. Definitely on our repeat list! BTW it isnsituated in the inner garden of the building so just follow the GMap for directions - neighborhood of SantAmbrogio but like 5min further.

We have staff who can speak a little Japanese. Their level is above basic and they've studied hard. The portions are large, but the food is delicious.

Excellent service, interesting location, excellent burger. The house wine is quite expensive for a "house" wine...we're in Maremma Tuscany! The tables are a bit askew. We had 1 bruschetta, 1 house white, water, burger, tagliatelle...about 85 euros.
