24/06/2026: We have a house nearby and have been here several times. The owners are incredibly kind and the food is spectacular. The view is beautiful and it creates a truly authentic, slightly touristy atmosphere that even locals appreciate from time to time. You almost feel like you're on vacation. They are attentive to every request; we had a guest with celiac disease and they were truly available to make the experience magical for him too. They welcome dogs and are very accommodating with special requests, such as cooking the same Florentine steak twice (we had two people with different cooking preferences). Despite the difficulty, they were incredibly kind. We'll be back a thousand times because the food is spectacular.

05/06/2026: Amazing, authentic sandwich shop. Lots of locals come here which says it all. Much better than the other tourist trap sandwich shop with the queues of Americans standing outside. All very fresh ingredients, the No.3 and No.7 were our favourites, we came back on multiple days for lunch. Highly recommend, staff are lovely, happy and smiley!

06/08/2026: Already a little disappointed by our visit to Chianciano (we expected a livelier and more cheerful village), we chose this restaurant based on the reviews. Before booking, I contacted the owner by phone to ask if vegan or vegetarian options were available, since I don't eat meat. I was assured that an alternative menu would be offered. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case: the alternatives simply consisted of the same dishes currently available, with the animal ingredients removed, without any real special menu. I was particularly disappointed by the first course, fusilloni, which seemed to have been reheated in the microwave: the dish wasn't even steaming hot and clearly gave the impression of not having been freshly prepared. I didn't want to comment because I know the challenges of managing a kitchen, especially in the summer heat. My companion, on the other hand, thought the meat was good, but was disappointed by the quantity of the side dishes: there were very few potatoes and the salad consisted of just two leaves. We also found the service a bit lacking: drinks were forgotten, and the staff was unable to provide accurate information about the weight of the meat. We also had the feeling that the wait staff was constantly checking the tables. With only five tables occupied, their constant presence made us feel a bit observed and uncomfortable. The only real positive note, for me, was the chicory, which was truly delicious. We were still hungry and had to ask for a second portion of baked potatoes. In total, we spent €88 for two for a Coca-Cola Zero, a small glass of wine, two bottles of water, a first course, two portions of chicory, a portion of baked potatoes, and a 250g sliced ​​Chianina beef. We skipped dessert because it seemed rather expensive. Overall, in our experience, the value for money wasn't convincing, and I personally wouldn't recommend it. Of course, this is just our experience and assessments can be very subjective.

Each course features impeccable ingredients combined with a wealth of technique and creativity. Regarding the service, the care, attention, and commitment to explaining the dishes stand out. Their presence was always discreet and never invasive. The location was private and peaceful, especially thanks to the division of the interior spaces. Overall, it was a top-notch experience from every perspective.

12/06/2026: A truly idyllic restaurant that I highly recommend! The food was excellent! The owners are very friendly and offer more daily specials than what's listed on the menu. We didn't have a reservation and were there with our child and dog, but we were seated immediately. Definitely worth a visit!

04/07/2026: 📍 Logbook – Roccastrada There are days when you clock up the miles, visit construction sites, and meet clients. And then comes the time for a break, when the region expresses itself through a dish. This stop takes me to La Rosa Blu, in Roccastrada. I order tagliatelle with wild boar sauce. But forget the classic ragù. Here, the wild boar takes center stage: slow-cooked meat, with a bold yet balanced flavor, without being overpowered by the tomato sauce. The tagliatelle, strictly homemade, absorb that sauce like only true artisanal pasta can. It's one of those dishes that don't try to impress. They simply tell the story of the Maremma, the authentic one. And that's also why I love business trips: because between paperwork, a plant, and a site visit, there's always a place or a flavor worth remembering. If you pass through Roccastrada, make a note of it.

03/05/2026: I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Siena. I stopped by by chance, but I was very satisfied thanks to the quiet and sophisticated atmosphere. Although it is known as a steakhouse, I was disappointed that I couldn't try the steak due to time constraints; however, the pasta is also really delicious. I especially recommend the gnocchi made with shrimp, zucchini, and tomatoes, and the ravioli with tomato sauce. If I visit Siena again, I definitely want to try the steak. I would also like to thank the staff for their kind and warm welcome.

02/05/2026: Great authentic Tuscan trattoria in the heart of Siena. Delicious traditional dishes, good wine selection (ask Erik for local wine tips) and very friendly service. The atmosphere is cozy and genuine, exactly what you expect from a local spot. Excellent value for money highly recommended 😊

06/07/2026: The pizza is delicious, not a real pizza, but not a delicate one either. We go there often or order takeout. It's centrally located and easy to get to, with very reasonable prices. They also offer a selection of craft beers, so reservations are recommended. Recommended.

29/06/2026: Nice experience! There were 7 of us and we got a table right away even though we hadn't booked in advance. The service afterwards was quite ok, even though it took a while for the food to arrive on the table. But luckily the pizzas were super good, so the wait was quickly forgotten. The fact that we also got a good limoncello to round off the evening made the experience complete. Recommended!
