10/12/2025: Dinner with friends. Sergio, the owner, is the perfect host, fast, courteous, and attentive. Delicious appetizers; I highly recommend the slow-cooked egg with truffle, and fresh homemade pasta. All the dishes are very fragrant and flavorful, not to mention the desserts, a real treat! 09/10/2025: That was a fantastic experience. On the recommendation of our accommodation, we came here twice for dinner. And immediately upon entering the grounds, and then the restaurant, you sense that someone has put their heart and soul into creating something unique. It was our first visit to Tuscany, but it was exactly what we imagined, or rather, our expectations were exceeded. It was nice, of course, that the owner of the house, as a German, was able to explain all the dishes to us, which doesn't necessarily make the choice any easier, because you simply work up an appetite for everything. The service was very good. Even though you can tell that you're not working with trained professionals here, you always get the feeling that it's very family-like... what more could you want? The food was absolutely TOP-NOTCH! The wine selection was also excellent, and at a price that was perfectly reasonable. Thank you again, and... if we're ever in the area again... we'll definitely be back.

The mango was creamy, sweet, and tropical, while the lime had a nice tart kick that balanced it perfectly. It’s a great spot to cool off on a warm day, and you can really tell they use quality, fresh ingredients in every scoop.

28/10/2025: A surprise: even the dishes that might turn off those unfamiliar with Florentine culinary tradition are excellent. A bit of a wait (which in my opinion is reasonable, it whets the appetite), but well worth it! As for the pizza, a ruoto, made in a wood-fired oven. Perhaps too crispy for Neapolitans. But it still has its merits. A sore point, and I say this because they took a risk, was the coffee. I even asked if it was appropriate after the excellent dinner, and the maître d' replied, "Yes, of course!" I'd do it again, but without the coffee, that's for sure! 🙂‍↔️!

30/11/2025: A restaurant with a quiet atmosphere, organized into two rooms with rustic-looking wooden tables. The appetizers were simple but delicious: a sort of panzanella with stale bread, potatoes, beans, carrots, zucchini, etc., a "pomodorata" (a spicy tomato sauce), some crostini (livers, cream cheese, etc.), and some cold cuts. It's a shame there's no good prosciutto! The first courses are noteworthy: the pappardelle with wild boar ragù was very good, a generous portion, plenty of sauce, and a few olives to break up the repetitiveness of the ragù. As for the second courses, we tried a slice of meat, probably sirloin or fillet, and some roast potatoes. The meat was certainly good, but overcooked, making it a bit tougher than it should be. The wine was good; we chose a Sangiovese, with a nice fruity aroma, medium structure, and not too tannic, quite fresh and clean. Overall, we spent €35, a fair price for the quality and quantity of what we ate and drank. Sidenotes: The water is served in reusable bottles, so you often see some wine residue floating in the bottle. I would recommend cleaning the bottles better, as at first glance it might seem like there are impurities in the water.

19/11/2025: Sometimes you just get a hunch on a restaurant. You walk past and immediately stop because what’s happening inside is felt on the pavement. And without knowing anything about it, you have to go in and find out when they can squeeze you in. And you hope your hunch doesn’t disappoint….And it didn’t here. This is food with integrity and character. Like being welcomed into a family kitchen. Dad is chef, mum front of house and youngest son and his childhood friend wait the tables. It’s a small, bustling, ramshackle space offering rustic portions with no pretension. Football commentary drifted unobtrusively from the kitchen. They clearly love what they do and this is expressed in the food they serve (a changing daily menu of florentine classics that I struggled to choose between). I ended up going for Ossobuco Risotto and each rich & melting mouthful made me smile. Brilliant value, inclusive in spirit (they happily welcomed a single diner on a packed evening) and about as authentic as you can get. I came here twice in a week and would go back at the drop of a hat, next time in Firenze.

31/10/2025: What a hidden gem of a shop! The Americano was amazing, and the owner even recommended the Affogato, which was fantastic. We also ordered freshly squeezed orange juice, which was incredibly fresh. The owner even helped us connect to the Wi-Fi – super friendly and nice! 😎👍🏻
