01/12/2025: I've never seen a more rude and ill-mannered person in my life, with an arrogance that leaves no room for imagination, I understand. We happened to be in Abetone on a Sunday for lunch. We went to the restaurant, which was half empty. When we entered to ask if there was mail, this lady seemed like she had gone crazy. It's so simple for her, I hope she knows how to write, just put a sign at the entrance, saying we only serve by reservation! In any case, it was a terrible welcome, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. My children were really upset. That lady should be ashamed of herself.

19/11/2025: Al Solito Posto was… okay. We grabbed a takeaway pizza to bring back to our Airbnb. The staff was friendly and the pizza itself was decent — nothing life-changing, but perfectly serviceable. The downside? We were overcharged, and of course I didn’t realize it until it was too late. So don’t be like me: double-check not just the printed receipt, but also the amount typed into the card machine before you tap. Fine for a quick bite. Good morning, and thank you for reaching out. You’re absolutely correct that your prices are set and listed on the menu. My concern wasn’t with the menu pricing but with the amount that ended up being charged on my credit card. I believe the pizza I ordered was around €14. I paid with a card that doesn’t have foreign transaction fees, and I paid in euros, so based on the exchange rate that day, the charge should have been roughly $16.50 USD. When I reviewed my credit card statement after returning home, the amount charged was $26.01 USD — noticeably higher than expected. In most restaurants we visited during our trip, the process was the same: the server enters the total into the register, provides the printed receipt, and then manually keys that same amount into the card terminal for the guest to tap. Because the amount has to be typed in, there’s always the possibility of a simple miskey — for example, entering 26 instead of 16. In many places, the staff would show me the keyed amount before I tapped, but this trip that didn’t always happen. We ate at your restaurant fairly early in our travels, and I didn’t yet realize I needed to double-check the number on the terminal before tapping. That was my mistake, and it’s something I started doing consistently for the rest of our trip. I want to be clear: I’m not suggesting this was intentional. It very well could have been an honest keying error. My note in the review was simply meant to help other travelers stay aware, as the manual-entry system leaves room for small mistakes. 17/09/2025: I got a coffee standing up, and the price was meant to be 1.40 Euros. When they started charging 3 Euros, I questioned it and she said that the price was old. She then accused me of sitting down and therefore charged me more. I had my coffee served at the bar. Pretty dodgy, and scammy.

26/08/2025: A quick lunch, very tasty. A varied daily menu, pasta, vegetables, and meat—something for every taste! We had viola gnocchi with tomato sauce, meatloaf with beans, and baked potatoes.

07/09/2025: WHAT A DISASTER, A DISASTER OF A CAKE AND NOT EVEN ONE "SORRY" I asked this lady for my daughter's birthday cake about 20 days before the party, agreeing on what it should be, down to the smallest details. She asked for a €40 deposit on the €120 total, which I gladly paid for the serious person she appeared to be. On the morning of the birthday, we went to pick up the cake (requested for 10 people) and already noticed it was quite small. Never mind, we'll make the slices smaller. Not even half an hour had passed and the writing on the cake was peeling off. Never mind, we'll glue it back together with chocolate. After not even 10 minutes, the cake completely collapsed. I immediately contact this lady who has the courage to ask me WHAT IF WE DROPPED THE CAKE I mean... she's not sorry for what happened, no, she blames us!!!!!! To avoid running to the lab and throwing it in her face, we all try to fix the cake as best we can, trying to give it at least a decent shape. Meanwhile, she tells us that the cake had gotten too hot, as if we, like complete idiots, had first thrown it on the floor and then left it to melt in the sun. It doesn't end there. The great pastry chef in question also thought it was a good idea to mess up the filling. Instead of Chantilly cream and chocolate cream, as agreed, she filled the cake entirely with cream... I had specified NO CREAM. At this point, the lady didn't even answer; this time she would surely have blamed the cake, which magically changed its flavor, and certainly not her fault. 13/10/2025: Very tasty pizza and a friendly baker. There are a few tables, but the business is primarily a takeaway pizza place. Large selection and reasonably priced.
