07/01/2026: We had a really good time. Excellent food and a homey, welcoming, and relaxing atmosphere. The ravioli and carbonara were simply top-notch! The rib-eye steak and horse fillet were also truly delicious, perfectly cooked and of high-quality meat. A much-appreciated gesture was the free fries for the kids. The chef, who I believe is also the owner, was attentive, kind, and helpful. We'll definitely be back.

13/11/2025: The octopus was not well cooked. The pasta was not salted enough. The service was all righ however the chef argued with me when I told him about the octopus!! This is rude to me!!!

11/11/2025: In the center of Ortigia, a restaurant where raw fish is a must. From the outside, it might look like a typical tourist restaurant, but after I ordered the tagliolini with shrimp tartare, red onion, and a sprinkling of breadcrumbs, I have to say I changed my mind. The pasta was perfectly creamy, and the shrimp tartare had an excellent flavor. Dish 10

07/12/2025: PortoMatto in Avola was a delightful discovery. I ordered a first course, a truly delicious risotto: well-creamed, flavorful, but never heavy. The restaurant is elegant, with attention to detail, and the background music is not too loud and very pleasant, allowing for a peaceful conversation. Special praise goes to the table service: professional, attentive, but never intrusive. I'd especially like to highlight the kindness and empathy of the waiter, Giovanni, who really worked hard to find a solution for my wife's particularly restricted diet, trying to accommodate her in every way possible. In the end, she didn't order anything, but his face showed genuine disappointment, a sign of genuine care for the customer. Overall, a very positive experience: highly recommended.

12/10/2025: I happened to be in Rosolini and decided to have dinner at this place. The food was delicious; I had a tartare and a really good carpaccio. The drinks were also top-notch, with a selection of over 50 gins, explained thoroughly by the excellent staff.

19/09/2025: The staff is super nice and helpful. Although they don't specialize in vegetarian food, they offered us many delicious options. The location is very authentic. All in all we liked it very much 😊

04/01/2026: I met a soul. Unique. Resplendent. Her eyes have the decisive sweetness that emerges from those who have experienced pain. Her smile tastes of sea and salt...but sweet. Impossible. But true. We searched for hours for a place to eat and spend an evening of our own. Only ours. We weren't looking for fireworks, but warmth. And typical dishes. We found both. Alone. No one in the dining room. Because of the time, 10:30 PM. The chef, Michele, smiled at us and with his simplicity confirmed that he had welcomed us into our restaurant. He immediately recommended the freshest of the day. The lobster pot shrimp, with pistachio pesto, were a poem for the palate, the linguine with clams was the sea on a plate. The wine was nectar with the contrasts of our land. Orange blossom and almonds with the minerality of the limestone of the Marzamemi area. The chef's love and simplicity are found on the dishes and in his genuine smile as he tells stories among the tables. I left a piece of me there, as happens on the rare occasions when I enjoy intimate, good and sincere moments.

03/01/2026: The ricotta ravioli and pork in sauce are excellent! You can taste the flavors of grandma's cooking, the sauce is real home-made, where you can't help but mop up the sauce! And the ricotta...simply delicious! The service is attentive, friendly, and helpful! I'll be back.

02/01/2026: We turned to Chef Romano for a family lunch: my son's eighteenth birthday. I found commendable care and attention in preparing the recommended menu. Each course was impeccable: the food arrived hot, beautifully presented, and, above all, the fish was excellent. The wine complemented everything perfectly; the wine list, in fact, is also impressive. A few days later, I opted for the takeout option for an impromptu dinner, which was also excellent. Highly recommended!

29/10/2025: We ate here on our first day in Ortigia after a 24 hr travel day and it was steps from our rental apartment. We ate out in the courtyard and we had some delicious bruschette, ravioli and red wine. Definitely recommend!
