20/04/2026: A welcoming bar in the town center, run with warmth. We stopped twice and enjoyed a delicious semifreddo. It will become a must-visit for our trips to the upper Stura Valley.

07/12/2025: PortoMatto in Avola was a delightful discovery. I ordered a first course, a truly delicious risotto: well-creamed, flavorful, but never heavy. The restaurant is elegant, with attention to detail, and the background music is not too loud and very pleasant, allowing for a peaceful conversation. Special praise goes to the table service: professional, attentive, but never intrusive. I'd especially like to highlight the kindness and empathy of the waiter, Giovanni, who really worked hard to find a solution for my wife's particularly restricted diet, trying to accommodate her in every way possible. In the end, she didn't order anything, but his face showed genuine disappointment, a sign of genuine care for the customer. Overall, a very positive experience: highly recommended.

The prices were really fair considering the quantity and quality of the dishes, and they even offered a discount on the bill, a much-appreciated gesture. The linguine with clams was delicious! 03/06/2026: Lovely restaurant next to their fishmonger and right on the waterfront. Very fresh fish and fairly quick service. The only downside was the mixed fried fish, which was practically fishless; only mini shrimp and very greasy. The mixed antipasto, first courses, and grilled meats were excellent and plentiful. The caponata was sublime. The price was in line with the quality of the food.

25/09/2025: Every day we get bored with fish! So we opted for meat... Surprise! Delicious meat, very well cooked, the well-seasoned potato wedges were super good, fast service. The outdoor setting on the square is nice, I'd say.

14/12/2025: Our usual motorcycle ride with friends and lunch at Agriturismo Monte Criscione, a charming property surrounded by greenery and citrus groves. Even though they had warned us there was no room, they were very accommodating and managed to accommodate us. Alessandro gave us a warm welcome, the rustic appetizers were plentiful and delicious, the first course excellent, and the second course very satisfying. The restaurant was clean, well-kept, and had a genuine atmosphere. The owner also shared an interesting and touching story of the restaurant. Approved
