13/01/2026: The food was very good; we had penne ragu and penne alla trapanese. For me, the latter was a real find – delicious pasta with almonds. Definitely try it! The prices are very reasonable! We'll definitely be back! :)

22/12/2025: Authentic cafeteria frequented by locals. Very welcoming to tourists too! Generous portions with excellent ingredients and a wide selection. (Special mention for the spaghetti alla siracusina, alla trapanese, and aglio-olio-peperoncino.)

08/01/2026: Very nice vegan spot. I stopped by for dessert and enjoyed a quiet moment on the couch with a cappuccino and a vegan cannolo. While I personally prefer the traditional version, I’m glad I tried it. The lady there was very kind and welcoming. I’d be curious to try their food next time, despite the mixed reviews.

01/01/2026: Had dinner on the 31st with the pizza menu, what can I say, super good pizza even when it was packed, without mistakes, welcoming and kind waiting staff with a lot of attention to the tables... I can only recommend it both on packed evenings and on romantic evenings

13/01/2026: Well, sorry if I put three stars only for the environment, but oh guys it's a food truck, so, the focus is on food. This is a 40 years old family company driven stuff, Antonio is heritor of one of the best paninis maker in Siracusa. If you are hungry, if you just wanna have something tasty and informal, or, like me, a little pause after a long day at work ( I always stop at food trucks for a good pack of French fries and strong beer 😁) this is a place I recommend.

13/12/2025: Food truck near the island of Ortigia. Wide selection of sandwiches only, as piadina is banned. The horsemeat sandwich is good, and I think it's among the cheapest in all of Syracuse. The only downside is the cats. I understand it's a food truck in the middle of the road, but it could be remedied with a cat repellent, or a more thorough wash, etc. The smell of cat urine bothered me. Too bad.

17/11/2025: We were referred by Enoteca Via Roma 23. The absolute best lasagna in the world. Service was friendly and caring. Wine suggestions were perfect. Unforgettable.

02/01/2026: The best pasta I've ever eaten. The Casarecce alla Norma is a must-try! The prices are also attractive: two pasta dishes and a liter of local wine cost €34. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

02/01/2026: Delicious and beautifully presented pasta. We each ordered a different pasta, and they were all delicious. The desserts were also very good. I recommend the local wine, which is served in beautifully presented carafes, as it's cheaper per person.

02/01/2026: First meal is on New Year’s Eve. Not a lot restaurants were open, but this turns out to be a big surprise on a rainy day! Best grilled sea bass (whole piece, not a fillet) in town, fresh, aromatic, perfectly cooked. Special pasta (with half a big red shrimp) also tasted very well. This firmed up our mind to try again on the second day. Second day: Risotto was also super good (just that min is 2 portions). Tried the grilled whole sea bream which showed great consistency in freshness and tenderness (thanks to the great grill skills). So basically had two meals there in a row. Also it is notably that I was greeted warmly by the waitress. Overall quite good experience. Considering the good location (3 min walk from Duomo), this is a must-try during your visit to Ortigia.

08/10/2025: I stopped by because it was near my accommodation, and it was a busy place with a constant stream of locals. A brioche (delicious!), a croissant filled with apricot jam(?), a croissant filled with light green chocolate (I didn't know what it was, but I just picked it up because it was so sweet, I ended up digging it all up), and a cappuccino for €6.50. I was very satisfied.

07/10/2025: Typical Italian bar with many locals, a few covered tables on the sidewalk, friendly service, excellent cappuccino, and crispy cornetto.

20/12/2025: We were truly satisfied when we left this pizzeria. Both the pizzas and sandwiches were excellent and plentiful. The owners were extremely kind and welcoming, and even gave us a gift to wish us happy holidays.

19/12/2025: We discovered this small and cozy place by chance on Google (please leave reviews, they're essential for discovering these amazing gems 🤣😍) and I must say we left this family lunch satisfied and happy! Everything was taken care of down to the smallest detail, super clean, family-run, attentive to allergies and very organized for gluten-free options. We highly recommend it!!!

08/01/2026: A bit average because it's a bit of a mess. I asked for focaccia twice and didn't get it, then it was added to the bill, but it was removed, so it's okay. Tables outside by the fountain, nice. After entering, basically no one takes care of you, not very well.

17/11/2025: We only stayed at the hotel for one day, but we really enjoyed our time there: very nice and spacious room, very friendly staff, a beautiful pool area, and delicious food and drinks. The breakfast was excellent. We would come back anytime.

11/11/2025: Overnight stay between October 13, 2025 and October 14, 2025 About twenty minutes from the center of Syracuse (Syracuse traffic permitting), the farmhouse, a renovated former farmhouse, has private parking, a swimming pool, a spa, and a restaurant. It offers several rooms, some with a garden. Our room, located on the first floor, was decorated in soothing colors and was clean and a decent size. The bathroom was tiled with beautiful local majolica tiles. The mattress was comfortable. The breakfast was remarkable, both in quantity and quality, with traditional products; homemade jams and biscuits are available for purchase. The staff was courteous and efficient. The price was reasonable for the quality of the stay and the services offered. Rating: 9
