03/08/2024: Very good cocktails in a quiet and sumptuous atmosphere !

02/08/2024: Our experience was not as good as expected. The location in an interior courtyard is very pleasant. The service is friendly. The cocktail was passable (for example the mojito was made with lemon juice and not lemon crushed with mint). On the other hand, we didn't like the food. We had a charcuterie cheese board and a tomato and ricotta foccacia as well as a cheese bruschetta. The cheese bruschetta was very good but we didn't like the rest. The cheese and cold meats didn't seem to be of very good quality. It seems to us that you can find better value for money elsewhere.

22/08/2024: We had dinner for 2. The owner was very courteous and patient in finding me a table even if I hadn't booked. I recommend booking. Dishes masterfully cooked by expert hands, excellent even in quantity, beware of anyone who says otherwise. Taking a photo of the dish is simple but I would like to publish instead the scrap of clams that were in the spaghetti with clams.

25/08/2024: Siamo arrivati di sera ad un orario spropositato, intorno alle 23:00, e ci hanno accolto gentilmente comunque. Abbiamo mangiato ottime pizze, cotte in maniera eccellente e per nulla pesanti da digerire. Lo consiglio a chiunque passi per Siracusa

24/08/2024: Abbiamo cenato in questo locale a pochi passi dalla piazza del Duomo. Abbiamo ordinato due pizze semplici ma molto buone, una bufala ed angela (con pomodorino e piccante). L'aspetto delle varie portate, che abbiamo anche visto su altri tavoli, erano davvero invitanti. Le pizze sono state sopra le aspettative, davvero gustose e stile napoletano contemporaneo. I ragazzi che ci hanno servito sono stati molto cordiali e disponibili, si meritano tutti e 5 i punti.

10/08/2024: We had a great time in this restaurant! I enjoyed a perfectly cooked octopus, while my husband enjoyed seafood pasta. For starters we opted for the arancini as well as the polpo alla Luciana. These were great! The products were impeccably fresh and the flavors simply exquisite. Every bite was a real treat. There was a bit of a wait for the service, but that really doesn't weigh heavily on the exceptional quality of the dishes. L'atmosfera conviviale, la passione , la ricerca degli ottimi ingredienti locali fanno di questo ristorante uno degli ultimi avamposti di cultura del cibo . La location è inoltre degna di nota poiché Il piano inferiore del locale è una grotta . Prezzo adeguato alla qualità.

26/05/2024: A hidden gem on a narrow one-way street in Lentini, A Maidda serves up a wonderful dining experience that I'm fortunate to have stumbled upon. Beyond the front section and its tables are tunnels which Executive Chef Salvatore says was used by Greeks of antiquity to escape enemies when the city was under attack. Today, they keep wine safe from Sicily's summer heat; a no less important task. I went with a few friends and left the evening's selection to the Salvatore. He presented a four course meal that began with an antipasto of seasonal vegetables: Pepperoni, caponata, zucchini, and artichoke hearts amongst others. A trio of pasta dishes followed as the primi: fusilli flavored with pesto, pistachio, and eggplant with mint. Sausages of wild pork drizzled with balsamic came out next as the secondi. Traditional Sicilian cannoli were dessert with a digestif homebrewed by the chef from a native plant that struck me as a cross between wild sage and mint. It was sweet, but strong. Imbibe responsibly. And naturally, espresso was served last because drinking coffee at 11pm is what Italians do. When in Rome I guess. It was a lovely meal and I intend to return soon to try the chef's speciality, linguine with blood orange and tuna.

13/08/2024: We’ve been coming to Ortgia 18 years but found the average restaurant offering inspiring and had largely given up, opting to cook dinner at home, and have breakfast out. Happily, Nostos opened near by and we made a booking. The restaurant is decorated to give a lovely intimate atmosphere with subtle lighting and Bossa Nova music playing. The staff were attentive and kind. My dining partner had a selection of arancini and fried squid with fries, while I had caponata followed by sea bream. All was delicately prepared and bursting with flavour. Obviously made with passion and love. The cannolo and lemon sorbet rounded off the meal. The house white wine was very nice. A great dining experience for a reasonable price. We’re looking forward to bringing our guests here. Totally recommend

04/08/2024: We had dinner two nights ago. It tastes divine, I had stuffed squid with an orange aftertaste, never tasted like this, to date the best I have ever tasted. Courteous waiters, quiet place. Absolutely worth going there. Congratulations again to the chef

18/08/2024: The best arancino I ate during my stay in Sicily. Wide choice of flavors and there is the possibility to also choose cutting boards or rotisserie such as pizzas and rustici. We took ragù, mushrooms and horse meat. The classic is the best nothing to take away from others.

11/07/2024: The very beautiful structure is in a central position with respect to the town but at the same time quiet. We also stayed here two summers ago and really appreciated the renovation work carried out in the meantime. Fortunately, it has maintained the traditional characteristics of the place with taste. The management is family-run and you can perceive the attention of the owners and all the staff towards the guests. Even in the dining room, impeccable service, plentiful and excellent quality food.
