11/01/2026: The Vendicari tuna fishery is a natural oasis not to be missed if you're visiting Sicily's inland coast. It's stunning both in winter and summer, with Mediterranean scrub and the occasional pink flamingo.

07/01/2026: Visited in October for a walk. You can walk for hours along the trails to some beaches designated for swimming. It's important to understand that you're in a nature reserve and as such must be respected and experienced with the right spirit. Enter as a guest and on tiptoe.

06/01/2026: The food is delicious, I'd say authentic. I was a bit perplexed by the cooking, as the pizzolo was a bit overcooked, almost burned in some parts. The staff was very courteous. A €2 cover charge for paper napkins? Overall, a good place, definitely clean.

01/01/2026: Very kind and attentive to their customers. The place is really clean and comfortable. The pizzoli are so delicious and varied, they put you back in touch with the cosmos. 😍

02/01/2026: Easily the best meal I’ve ever had in my life. My wife and I had the tasting menu with the accompanying wine pairings. Every course was incredible. The ingredients were extremely high quality and fresh, and the preparations were exquisite. The atmosphere was delightful, and Chef Maurizio was a fabulous host, making the evening truly memorable. I cannot recommend Macallè highly enough!

19/12/2025: Very well-kept place and very friendly staff. We ordered two Sicilian-style pizzas, both very good. We'll be back to try the restaurant too.

15/12/2025: For Syracusans, Locanda del Collegio is a real discovery! We enjoyed a truly delicious Siracusan-style first course, and the pizza was simply top-notch. The wine was excellent, and the staff were extremely kind and helpful. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service impeccable: we'll definitely be back!

14/12/2025: Our usual motorcycle ride with friends and lunch at Agriturismo Monte Criscione, a charming property surrounded by greenery and citrus groves. Even though they had warned us there was no room, they were very accommodating and managed to accommodate us. Alessandro gave us a warm welcome, the rustic appetizers were plentiful and delicious, the first course excellent, and the second course very satisfying. The restaurant was clean, well-kept, and had a genuine atmosphere. The owner also shared an interesting and touching story of the restaurant. Approved

11/10/2025: The owner’s passion for good food is evident in every dish he serves. It was one of the best meals I had in Sicily, it is truly exceptional.

20/10/2025: The food was fantastic with traditional fried rice balls and fried ricotta cheese. The owner Paolo was very friendly. We had a great time dining at his famous little restaurant. BTW, the restaurant will be closed next week (the end of October) because he is going to pick lemons in his farm.

15/10/2025: Apparently didn’t have the greatest experience being solo but the management had my prior review removed. So much for free speech and expression, guess that no longer exists!

23/09/2025: While wandering around Pachino's city center, we stumbled upon this place by chance near the main square, where we enjoyed fantastic granitas and cremolatas. The owner, a delightful person with a deep respect for tradition, let us sample his homemade pastries, which are the quintessential taste of deliciousness! I highly recommend trying them.

21/12/2025: 2 stars that could have been 5. It's a restaurant that strives for quality. You can see it in the menu, the dishes, the cooking style, the service (attentive and professional), and even the ambiance, but... It's NOT possible to attract a certain type of clientele and simultaneously have an 18th dinner with blasting music! You ruin everything you're trying to build with your restaurant and those waiters so suited to that kind of restaurant! The ambiance often makes up 50% of the restaurant's value and represents 50% of the chances that the customer will return. Now, let's pretend I've been to this restaurant before, enjoyed it, and consider it suitable for an important business dinner for... 6 people. "I'll take you to a nice place in Augusta." I book.... And find the 18th dinner playing loudly all evening???? But no way. Too bad. I would have talked about the food; that would have been a good review.... That's not how it's done.

03/11/2025: Ate here 3 days in a row with wife for lunch. Lasagna was terrific homemade recipes. Reasonably priced and wish we weren't moving on, would come back.

07/10/2025: Unfortunately, this was our least favorite dining experience in Sicily. The gnnochi dish was cold and had zero taste. Grilled veggies were a couple of bites of zucchini and eggplant floating in oil. An extra star because of the cozy atmosphere.

17/10/2025: A beautiful, peaceful place, surrounded by well-kept greenery. If you're looking to relax, this is the right place. The pool is large, beautiful, and spotlessly clean. The only flaw is the accommodation. We never found anything in the kitchen except two cups, even though there were three of us. The dinnerware rental cost €8 per day. Not even a glass or a piece of cutlery other than two teaspoons were provided. It's a shame, because otherwise it would have been a perfect stay.

14/10/2025: Pleasant stay, surrounded by olive trees and silence, shame about the rubbish along most of the Sicilian roads, which leads me to look at other destinations with great regret.
