03/03/2026: We've been here several times and, unfortunately, have had unpleasant experiences on more than one occasion. Once, we found a piece of plastic in the ice cream; another time, there was a toothpick among the chips, and on other occasions, small impurities in the products. We even had them serve us a dirty glass. The most disappointing thing wasn't just what happened, but the owner's reaction when we pointed it out. We politely reported the problem several times, but her response was that "it only happens to you" and that next time we could buy the items ourselves at the supermarket "so you can see how these things can happen," in an annoyed tone, as if it were our fault. We understand that mistakes can happen, but we expect at least professionalism, responsibility, and respect for customers. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. It wasn't just recently; it was a while ago. Yes, it was the owner who spoke badly to us, and the waitress who served us was an Argentinian woman who I don't know if she still works there.

20/02/2026: A very elegant and welcoming bar in the village of Verga della Cavalleria Rusticana, stocked with every delicacy you can think of. Excellent pizzeria and rotisserie.

13/03/2026: A place with no tourists. Lunch for 5 euros. You choose from the menu at the entrance, or you show what you want. The staff only speaks Italian, but we understood everything. Ravioli, mushrooms, cheese. Parade.

25/01/2026: For the first time I went to g g bistrot, at the entrance I had to say hello, loudly to the cashier, to receive a welcome greeting, they had almost not noticed my entrance. Thursday 50%, I scanned the menu and called the guy to order, American carbonara, he didn't tell me that at 50% it's only the classic one. It seems that words are paid for, I found out at the cashier, 16 euros for pasta, 250 ml of local wine 7 euros (28 euros per liter 😯) + normal cover charge. Arrived in 10 minutes, it doesn't smell good, in fact nothing special, only the mushrooms gave a little flavor, normal portion size. I honestly don't feel like going there again......

29/12/2025: ENCHANTED EXPERIENCE Etna Palace was a delightful discovery, truly splendid. The location, with its park, outdoor spaces, large fountain, and covered and uncovered verandas, is truly delightful. The interiors are well-kept and very welcoming, as is the staff: Maria Rita and Angela, as well as their brothers in the dining room and kitchen, were excellent hosts. I had the Christmas lunch, which was excellent, from the entrée with a welcome cocktail through to all the other courses. The fried cocktails were delicious, as were the hot and cold appetizers we received (anything but ordinary in their combinations, with a simple yet impeccable potato basket with Russian salad!). The two first courses were exquisite (and I had seconds of both): both the fresh pasta with a delicious Sorrento-style tomato sauce and the asparagus and speck risotto were superbly cooked, textured, flavorful, and savory (and risotto is notoriously difficult!). The second course (a thin rib-eye steak with mushrooms and an exceptional roux: I had seconds of both), accompanied by a baked potato, a treasure trove of delicious broccoli and prosciutto filling, was truly delicious. I would have loved to have had seconds of the desserts, especially the cream puffs, but I managed to restrain myself. The non-alcoholic drink to start, the Montepulciano served at the perfect temperature for eating, and finally the sparkling wine at the end were perfect pairings for the various courses. Add to that the quality-price ratio was absolutely in favor of the quality (elsewhere, at least, the price would have been about twenty euros more!), and I can only recommend going, and returning!

11/01/2026: I go often, and sometimes I'm just passing through for work and stop there. They're really friendly and the food is really good, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The atmosphere is quiet and the staff are friendly. I hope to return soon, I really enjoy it.

08/03/2026: The staff were incredibly unfriendly. They served us one dish and then fifteen minutes later, my husband's dish arrived. They're clearly overwhelmed, and the staff is very unpleasant, especially the young man who served us. They make no effort to understand us. They only gave us forks for eating meat. We had to wait another ten minutes to get a knife. We received extremely poor service from the staff.

26/02/2026: I had a cannoli (actually two). Very, very good. The shell was handmade (I discovered it with wine). The ricotta was top-notch. The staff was kind and friendly.

26/10/2025: Excellent breakfast: very good hot drinks, fresh, sweet, and quality pastries. Friendly, helpful staff. Outdoor seating is also available. Recommended.

15/08/2025: Located in Piazza Umberto (now Piazza Majorana), this bar offers a good selection of homemade food (breakfast, hot food, first and second courses). The atmosphere is family-friendly, the staff friendly, and the prices are excellent.

10/02/2026: In my desperate search for truly good coffee, this was the holy grail. The best mother-daughter duo, incredibly friendly, the best apple pie, and simply a real go-to everyday coffee spot with soul.

20/03/2026: Yesterday, March 19, Father's Day, my family and I decided to dine at Scorzo Nera in Nicolosi, as it has always been our go-to restaurant. But, to our great surprise and subsequent disappointment, last night left me literally speechless. We ordered a meat skewer and an Eraclea pizza. Well, the meat on the skewer was inedible, the side of potatoes and grilled vegetables wasn't cooked through; in fact, I'd say it was all pretty raw. The pizza was completely tasteless. To top it all off, the owner's loud voices, unbecoming of a restaurant of that caliber, first talking loudly on the phone and then engaging in inappropriate conversations with her friends, made for a depressing end to the evening. I'm so sorry, but I don't think I'll be returning to this place again.

12/03/2026: A very charming place. The menu offers a variety of local dishes, including rare ones (like the Aci trunzo cabbage), with taste and creativity. Excellent service, beautiful embroidered tablecloths, and a wide selection of wines. High prices, but money well spent.
