Caffè Cipriani In Acireale

We've had breakfast a couple of times and the savoury pastry was always good. They serve good granita and the portions are quite generous generous. We particularly enjoyed the fragola granita :)

I don't want to go too far, because some things are good and others are not so good. Let's just say it's all average, but not excellent...

We gladly return every time we go to Acireale for the truly top granita with brioche.

I had high expectations for this historic restaurant located opposite the church of San Sebastiano in Acireale. Indeed, it had been recommended to me as it is renowned for its artisanal granitas and Sicilian pastries. Naturally, given the season and the beautiful day, we opted for the granitas, especially the pistachio one, as recommended. The arancini and cipolline were very popular. The restaurant appears traditional and welcoming, with indoor and outdoor seating (the chairs are wrought iron, a bit subdued). The location is quite charming, with a view of the church and the main street of Acireale, a pedestrian area at least on Sundays. The atmosphere is friendly and clean, and the service is noteworthy. The granita was excellent, definitely among the best in the Catania area. The brioches (or brioches) were also very good and, above all, fresh. It's a shame we weren't able to try the fruit flavors, given the season, but we'll be back. Prices are largely average, in fact, perhaps a little less (or better). Definitely worth a stop or a quick visit.

I think the staff is not adequately friendly towards customers and that the quality-price ratio is not balanced.

The staff appears to be unsympathetic and profit-driven, neglecting essential aspects such as friendliness and hospitality. The price of €4.20 for a granita and brioche, with no service, is completely unbecoming of the treatment received! Lower the prices and increase the level of humanity!

I stopped here two times and first had an arrancino and a Castello beer and the second time I had breakfast with a voucher my hotel provided me and both were excellent 👌 Lovely staff also 🫶

The restaurant is renowned for its artisanal breakfasts, Sicilian pastries, and granitas, especially pistachio and almond ones. The arancini and cipolline are particularly popular. A traditional and welcoming atmosphere, with both indoor and outdoor seating in the square.
