01/04/2026: Returning from an excursion to Mount Etna, we stopped for a short break in Bronte and found this pastry shop that truly lives up to its name: courtesy and kindness. I can honestly say that I've eaten the best arancini in Sicily here—a truly delicious treat filled with pistachio, cheese, and ham, served perfectly piping hot—special! Plus, a delicious pistachio gelato, served in a fresh shortcrust pastry basket and accompanied by a small glass of coffee garnished with cream and pistachio. The lemon granita was also delicious, fresh and thirst-quenching, a unique flavor experience. I recommend everyone stop by, even for a quick break, to try the specialties made at this pastry shop. As soon as you step inside, you feel like you've entered a world apart, suspended between the magic of the countryside and the charm of a natural park populated by extraordinary creatures. Everywhere you look, you'll encounter happy animals, cared for with rare attention: from classic farm animals to exotic species that seem to have arrived from a documentary. The environment is immaculate, spacious, and exudes a profound respect for nature and every living being that inhabits it. The restaurant deserves a special mention. The cuisine combines tradition and authentic flavor, with generous dishes, genuine ingredients, and a craftsmanship evident in every bite. And for those with special needs, such as celiac disease, the options are numerous, high-quality, and clearly conceived with love and expertise—a detail that is far from obvious. While adults indulge in the delicious food and relaxed atmosphere, children have access to a large and safe playground where they can run, laugh, discover, and make friends with the animals. It's impossible not to notice the enthusiasm in their eyes. Casolare delle Balze isn't just a place: it's a regenerating experience. A day here means enjoying peace, wonder, and authentic hospitality, in a perfect balance of fun, nature, and good food.

06/04/2026: Good evening, I wanted to leave a brief comment about our experience. Considering the €45 per person price, the agriturismo didn't live up to our expectations. Furthermore, we found the staff to be rather limited in their availability, which further impacted the overall experience. That said, the outdoor location was very beautiful and well-kept, and is certainly one of the property's strong points.

02/03/2026: Open 24 hours a day, homemade bread, excellent cured meats, and cheeses. Friendly and courteous service, and the option of dining in comfortably outside. A must-visit if you're passing through.

01/04/2026: It seemed like it would be tasty and atmospheric, as it's run by a nice couple, but not quite. The food was far from what I expected—the carbonara was more of a scrambled egg dish, the pistachio pasta was decent, but I was hoping for something different. The wine was good. Coperto was 3 euros. It was quiet inside, so quiet you could hear someone swallowing. One extra star for being open when everything else was closed.

04/02/2026: I walked in without a reservation, but they were very accommodating. The pistachio macaroni was an unforgettable taste. The appetizer platter and bread were also delicious, making for a very satisfying meal.

06/03/2026: On Sunday, March 1st, during a sporting event, I was invited to lunch with other referees at this restaurant. Aside from the road to get there, which had a few hiccups since we're not from the area, La Fucina di Vulcano is located in a vast green area. Everything feels welcoming, from the parking lot entrance to the building itself, with its large windows offering a beautiful view of Mount Etna. From what I saw, it has two rooms, one on the ground floor and another upstairs, where we were welcomed. The service was excellent, and the food was excellent. Our menu included a first course with pistachios, a second course with pork and pistachios, potatoes and vegetables, plus a drink and coffee. It was a pleasant experience. I can't tell you about the rooms because we didn't stay overnight, but the accommodation aspect certainly won't be any less so. We'll definitely be back at the next tournament.
