21/02/2025: The Panificio San Giuseppe is like entering the fairy tale house of Hänsel and Gretel, but without the "evil witch". Indeed, you will be welcomed by friendly and helpful staff who will immediately make you feel at home. The scent of hot bread, desserts, pizza and baked specialties fills the air, while the quality of the raw materials and the passion for tradition give each baked product an unmistakable flavour. I recommend it!

26/02/2025: Intrigued by the positive reviews I decided to bring my family. Starter: octopus salad, mixed fry. First courses: Marinara risotto, tagliatelle with shrimp and courgette pesto. Second courses: Salmon in crust, swordfish rolls and finally mussels. Fennel salad side dish. Just one adjective: Excellent. Everything was really good and well cooked. Compliments! Price? As they say: restaurant dishes at the price of a delicatessen. Optimal. Oh I forgot they also offered us a loaf of bread. 🤩

24/02/2025: It's a safe option for weekdays. Eating here is always enjoyable, thanks to their simple website, and their delivery service is what we book at least one day a month at work. The prices are fair and the quality of the food is second to none. Depending on the time you order, the food arrives more or less on time, so I recommend ordering a little early or just in time; you have to be flexible. But the wait is worth it. If you go to the restaurant for lunch, it is also a good option. In any case, go early to have more options to choose from. The onion salad is fantastic and the rice is a safe bet.

11/04/2025: If there was a possibility of a rating of 6/5, I would give it. You can see that the owner not only runs the restaurant but is also passionate about it. Great atmosphere. The food was absolutely fantastic (with a story from the owner). So far, the best restaurant in Sicily I've ever eaten at (hand on heart), and it's small and out of the way for little money. It specializes in mushroom days and more (I recommend the porcini mushroom paste or the classic ragu with local flair and home-made pasta). Google says that the restaurant is open from 6:30 p.m., but it's better to arrive from 7 p.m., and if someone wants to eat pizza, it's better to go a little later (unless you want to see the whole process of lighting the oven and making pizza - the oven is in the room and creates an additional atmosphere). It's worth it, really worth it - in my opinion better than U Sapurinu in Catania. Fantastic place, fantastic owner in a fantastic interior. Stroke.

17/04/2025: I chose a Carcxofa, composed of: mozzarella fior di latte, artichoke cream, artichokes and smoked salmon. The flavors of the various ingredients were well perceived, while maintaining an overall delicate taste. I particularly liked the artichoke cream. I also appreciated the dough, which was not too leavened but not too thin either. In conclusion, the combination of products on a pizza that I already appreciate very much individually was a nice discovery. I will definitely return here to try the other tasty pizzas, with inviting combinations!

15/04/2025: This place really disappointed me. It was the worst carbonara in my life. Fat, omelette with spaghetti, burnt fat. Pasta with pistachio was better, but also was with fat instead of pancetta. The service is very slow. The staff does not try to be pleasant. Never thought I could try this bad pasta in Italy.

20/03/2025: I ate the recommended fish dish of the day, but it took a long time to cook. They explained that it takes time to cook it well. Also, the staff prepared the fish right in front of me so that it was easy to eat. The fish dish that came out that way was really delicious.

18/03/2025: Pranzato divinamente, complimenti allo chef e a tutto il personale di Sala, molto attento alle esigenze dei commensali. Cucina gourmet, una parmigiana da 10 e lode, un misto carne alla griglia, come la verdura, ai massimi livelli. Ho scelto un vino Nero Avola/Shiraz eccezionale. Se andate a Caltagirone, all’inizio della scalinata a sinistra, in fondo al vicoletto…SUPER!!!

18/02/2025: La location è facile da raggiungere, molto intima e riservata, ha un ampio parcheggio privato. Una tenuta di dieci ettari ripresa e ristrutturata finemente con cura e attenzione al dettaglio. Abbiamo cenato scaldati dal focolare e bevuto un vino rarissimo. Io ho scelto il menù degustazione che mi ha stupito per la qualità e ricercatezza dei sapori, esperienza gourmet in locale di charme. La peculiarità del vino è nel dna delle viti coltivate, è stato ripreso un vecchio vigneto che ha saputo resistere agli attacchi della fillossera (causò gravi danni nella viticoltura europea e tutti i coltivatori cambiarono gli impianti installando portainnesti americani geneticamente modificati per resistere alla fillossera) queste sono piante che hanno il dna della vite del mediterraneo, quella coltivata da greci e Fenici, il vino della nostra storia, della nostra cultura. Complimenti per tutto, consigliatissimo. Complimenti anche alla ragazza che ci ha accolti e che ha gestito la sala. All’uscita dalla sala abbiamo potuto ammirare il vulcano e la colata lavica
