22/11/2025: It's a complete disaster. The hotel is in the middle of the highway, impossible to get anywhere on foot. The window overlooks a multitude of solar panels. You can hear everything outside in the rooms; a vacuum cleaner will wake you up at 6 a.m. We came here for the sauna and jacuzzi, but they charge 20 euros per person per hour, which is a joke. We didn't see any information about it anywhere. The photos of this hotel were probably taken 50 years ago, because this place definitely doesn't look like this. Overall, it's an old, filthy hotel. I don't recommend it.

16/11/2025: This isn't the first time we've attended the Barion Hotel for events. We've always had excellent experiences, from Maurizio's professionalism and courtesy to Elenya's smile and kindness, to Samy's impeccable, high-quality work. Especially regarding the cuisine and catering, I've complimented Granit, and I want to publicly reiterate my compliments, as my entire group noted the superior cuisine at last night's dinner. We weren't aware there had been any changes to the staff, but since everyone was so satisfied, I wanted to find out more, and indeed this new addition seems to be a significant upgrade for the entire hotel. Congratulations, and kudos to everyone I mentioned, for making our guests' experiences special!

07/02/2026: My husband and I went to this restaurant for dinner this evening. The reservation service was very quick and efficient. The location is one of the most beautiful we've ever experienced: there's a truly pleasant "Puglian" atmosphere. Despite the lack of background music, we were able to chat comfortably without feeling excessively silent. We were served by a very sweet, kind, efficient, and never intrusive young woman. The small welcome appetizer of taralli was much appreciated. The timing between courses was well-timed. Finally, a place that serves sauces in special bowls and not in the inconvenient sachets, which are often annoying to open (not to mention polluting). The pizza, in our opinion, is a cross between a Bari-style pizza and a Neapolitan pizza. It's very tasty and light, more crunchy than soft. You can immediately tell the ingredients are high-quality. Their attention to celiac disease is commendable. The bill is slightly higher than average, but overall it's worth the experience. It's definitely highly recommended in Monopoli!

26/07/2025: For clarity, I'm only reviewing the atmosphere and service, as I only went for a drink. The Spritzes were good, and the service was excellent. The atmosphere is really nice for a bar, but perhaps not the best for a group of friends who also want to dine (but that's just my opinion). Recommended for a post-evening outing with friends.

01/05/2026: Hats off! The best food in the area! And for 30 EUR for 2 people, something special - sandwich with grilled octopus and buratta, fried seafood platter, 0.5L red wine and olives plus bread on the hearth on the house. Tasty food, the best in the area. For those who end up in Mola di Bari, you can eat here with confidence.

25/04/2026: Excellent value for money. Inexpensive drinks. Seafood and port products prepared according to local Apulian tradition. An immersion in a typical restaurant of traditional cuisine. Example for a dinner for two people for €44 total: green olives as an aperitif, arugula and tomato salad, antipasti to share: cheeses (2 balls of borrata, 2 of mozzarella, 2 mild pecorino, 2 peppered pecorino), vegetable lasagna, 6 stuffed mussels, 6 fresh prawns; main course: grilled octopus; homemade lemon sorbet. Includes cutlery, bread, 1/4 bottle of local white wine, and 1 bottle of water. Unbeatable!

21/08/2025: "LIKE FAMILY"—there's no other way to describe our "feeling" when we went to eat at La Ruota pizzeria at Z-Zomb! Fantastic home cooking, just like my grandmother's in Puglia, with authentic dishes and excellent value! The owner was incredibly friendly and kind, making our evening even more enjoyable! We'll be back often! Highly recommended!

09/05/2026: We were passing through Gravina in Puglia and wanted to try the €20.00 per person menu at Trattoria "La Porcona," located inside Chef Salvatore Varvara's "Saporè" restaurant, which also hosts the legendary Rino Manada's "La Porcona" concept. The dishes vary daily. ​As an appetizer, we were served bruschetta with pickled peppers, toasted bread with extra virgin olive oil, and a terrine of beans with pork rinds. This was followed by two appetizers of first courses (orecchiette with creamed fava beans and chicory, strozzapreti with creamed peppers and sausage), baked capocollo gratinated with cardoncelli mushrooms, a soft drink each, sorbet, and coffee. ​Friendly staff, a casual setting, and excellent value. Next time, I'll add photos of the dishes, which, by the way, are beautifully plated.

01/05/2026: The experience wasn't a very pleasant one. The waiter was quite rude. I had ordered two takeout menus that included drinks and ice cream, but he kept telling me they wouldn't give them to me because the price I'd paid was already what they were giving me. I had to insist on getting the drinks, but they wouldn't even let me choose, and instead gave me two beers even though I'm a teetotaler. Once I got home, I opened the food containers and found nothing of the kind advertised on the poster. Only one first course when the poster advertised two first courses. Only one poor second course when the poster advertised two. Four slices of bread and a few slices of cold cuts as an appetizer—in short, a truly terrible experience. Kudos to the fake advertising.

18/03/2026: The pizza is also acceptable, nothing special, just another one, but it's certainly not the main problem. What makes me rate the place negatively is the presence of hair on the pizza, which I ordered for takeout. A few weeks ago, I had already found two hairs on the entire pizza at this pizzeria, but I didn't expect it to happen again. The taste of pizza may be subjective, but the presence of foreign bodies inside it is indicative of poor hygiene and is an unjustifiable occurrence, especially when it happens repeatedly. Making good pizzas isn't a must, but ensuring hygiene in the kitchen is. One less customer.

11/05/2026: It was clear from the start how things would go. We asked: "Can you make peppered mussels, since it's not on the menu?" The waiter replied with a haughty tone: "Of course it says mussel sauce on the menu." And he started leafing through 20 pages of the menu and found nothing. First embarrassment. We asked for them without tomato, just lemon and parsley... and here is the genius of the chef who doesn't have the time or the inclination to make them without tomato, so he removed all the tomatoes on the surface... except a few... without realizing that the sauce was still red from the tomatoes... a genius who thinks he can fool people. Moreover, one of the three had tomato sauce and arrived white. The crouton-style bread was completely burnt on the crust. In short, total confusion. Mussels were still raw and many of them were closed, a sign of not being fresh. We asked for two Cokes Zero... they arrived upon request after 20 minutes... wrong, instead of Zero, normal; I don't let them change it otherwise I'd wait another 20 minutes. Swordfish, decent, I ask for oil, the response is "it's already there anyway." What if I wanted more? What crazy responses. A friend of mine ordered paccheri with octopus ragù. Paccheri were undercooked, not al dente, completely undercooked. The response was "it's that type of pasta"; okay, no comment... total disaster... the owner wrote in response "I'm joking"... but instead I was dead serious.

31/03/2026: When there's a family occasion to celebrate... we have no hesitation... we choose "Il grande buco quadrato" for both lunch and dinner, where we feel at home thanks to the kind hospitality of Franco, the owner, always ready to meet the customer's needs, respecting them... and the delicacies of chef Giuseppe! I recommend trying the seafood risotto... it's superb!! Quality food... the setting is very characteristic and welcoming in stone, the service is fast, the waitresses are friendly and professional... in short, for all of this we feel happy and satisfied. I highly recommend trying it to believe it!!

31/03/2026: Very nice location, clean, tidy and tastefully furnished located a few steps from the city center and with ample seating availability 😊 excellent appetizers, superlative pizzas, abundant dishes and everything strictly fresh and of the highest quality 😊 the staff very friendly, helpful, professional and with a strong sympathy especially from the owner who very willingly improvises magic tricks and collective entertainment with extreme ease and skill in the execution 😄 excellent value for money and therefore I highly recommend it 😉 see you soon 💪😊😉👍

30/09/2025: It depends on what you're looking for. Here you'll find hospitality, courtesy, clean spaces, a stunning sea view (choose a "sea view" room), a porch to relax on, and a beautiful garden. The rooms are tidy and clean, but dated. The price is also reasonable... we had a really good time, and if we return to Bosa, we'll definitely stay here again.

14/09/2025: The hotel is in an exceptional location, the staff are friendly and helpful, the parking is onsite, and the restaurants across the street are all good. Prices are in line with the location, and the sea is beautiful. The entire coast, all the way to Oristano, is well worth a visit. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but the bathroom is a bit cramped.

17/05/2026: Hotel outside of Bari (approx. 13 km). Somewhat dated. We had room number 16, which had no window. The staff was friendly but not particularly attentive. At breakfast, you have to order butter, cheese, etc. separately, but there is no extra charge.

28/04/2026: It's become a familiar place for me. The location is convenient, as is the availability of ample free parking that doesn't require reservations. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is excellent. Breakfast is good. The rooms are comfortable and clean. My suggestion would be to provide a kettle. That would be perfect for me.
