You enter, and with the harmony of the sound, you're greeted by smiles of a kindness that feels sincere. There's no doubt about the right place to stop for a meal worthy of the setting, enveloped by warm jazz, the tones of stone and tuff. I'm at the Van Westerhout restaurant in Mola di Bari, renowned for its dishes respectful of tradition, enriched by elegant pairings and the pleasure of a taste both ancient and new. 11/11/2025: Incredible experience! What was a cold rainy day in Alberobello, turned into a magical two hours just trying to take shelter from the rain. Once we were seated, we were greeted by Francesco, the owner of Paco Wines. He asked us what sort of wines we liked and how he could find something we would enjoy. We sort of felt like a little Rosé, so he returned to allow us to sample three different ones. All were great and we enjoyed our first glass. We ordered some light snacks. He returned later to allow us to try some reds. He also made a great effort to get to know us and tell us about his business. He has a great passion for what he does and it comes across. My wife settled on a wonderful Primitivo (the best I had tried in Italy BTW). I got a glass of Negroamario...absolutely stunning. I bought a bottle to bring back home. What an amazing two hours. Francesco was so warm and welcoming. And when we were done and walked outside, the sky was breaking to reveal blue skies. Another Italian miracle!

01/11/2025: We found it to be excellent, and a total success. The place, the atmosphere, and the quality of the wines and tapas they served were incredible. The staff's friendliness was amazing; even though they barely knew our language, they did their best to understand us perfectly. I will definitely recommend it to everyone. 30/09/2025: What an outstanding restaurant. Not what I expected in Mola Di Bari, would expect this type of restaurant in a large city and I believe it would be very successful. We didn’t really know what to expect when we visited as we hadn’t looked at the menu, we were VERY VERY pleasantly surprised by the menu, the service, the setting and everything about our experience. Our only disappointment is that we only discovered Parla Paino on the Sunday before we returned home. We would have visited on the Monday too, but they were closed. I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough, it was truly amazing! If Parla Piano was in a big city, I would expect to pay €200-300 for the quality of this setting, service and food! I’ve paid a lot more than that in London and the food has been nowhere near as good as Parla Piano! Please keep up the good work.

03/11/2025: Very friendly staff and excellent food, but simply not my taste. They make all their pasta with spelt, which is a must-have. A bit too organic for us.

01/11/2025: Excellent, high-quality food. We found part of our appetizer already waiting for us at the table, including delicious orecchiette with turnip tops. The place is small and welcoming, and the staff and owner were incredibly kind and courteous. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended, we'll be back as soon as we're in the area again.

02/11/2025: We discovered this delightful little place by chance, not too far from my hometown (Conversano), and it was a lovely day, spent pleasantly in a welcoming, refined, clean environment, with traditional, thoughtful yet original dishes served by the owner, a pleasant person, and accompanied by his wife, the chef, a genuine and competent person. Congratulations... very happy... We highly recommend it.

15/09/2025: Gemmavì in Torre a Mare is a real find for those who love authentic flavors. Excellent pork butcher's shop, with fresh, flavorful products, prepared with great care. We tried several dishes and found everything delicious and high-quality, from the cured meats to the house specialties. Plus, the prices are fair, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. A highly recommended place for those who want to eat well in the heart of Torre a Mare.

The staff's kindness and professionalism are truly rare, and the owner makes every customer feel incredibly pampered. The presentation of the dishes is astonishing, with meticulous attention to detail, and every course is delicious, with perfect and never boring flavor combinations. A culinary experience that captivates from the first to the last moment. We absolutely fell in love with this place: a unique blend of atmosphere, quality, and customer service. Highly recommended!

Everything was fresh and full of authentic flavor. It’s a great spot to unwind after a busy day, enjoy a nice conversation with friends, or have a romantic evening. Highly recommended!
