27/04/2026: I chose to return to Peppe Zullo, and once again it was a memorable experience. He welcomed us to his Villa Jamele, allowing us to experience something far beyond a simple lunch. The visit to the woods, the stories and secrets of the garden... every moment was a journey into his vision, made of earth, passion, and authenticity. Peppe is a unique chef: friendly, original, and captivating. He captivated and enthused all the bikers with his energy and his way of telling stories. This is my second time back... and I already know it won't be the last. You don't come here just to eat, but to live a true experience. 10/04/2026: We had very good cocktails here today, a Negroni and an Americano. It was self-service at the counter in the early afternoon, the friendly, passionate bartender was great. We sat outside in the little square, lots of seating at simple tables.

05/05/2026: We went to this tavern with a taste of times gone by for a family dinner. We went to Bovino to introduce our children to their father's hometown. We stopped at this tavern. It was where I rediscovered the cuisine and flavors of when I was little and my parents took me to the village for the summer. I was very surprised to be able to taste the typical dishes that brought back my childhood memories. Thank you Saverio for this experience. Wonderful person who makes you feel at home.

08/03/2026: Unfortunately, there's no point in serving excellent food when you're then forced to SCREAM to converse with your guests at the table, given the screams and shouts of rude children running around the tables the entire time, with their parents completely indifferent. Unfortunately, in Vieste, when there are no tourists, this seems to be normal, as the same thing has happened to me in other places. Perhaps a separate dining room or a children's area would be a good idea. The service also isn't commensurate with the price, which is quite high. The exterior, a beautiful olive grove, deserves special mention.

23/10/2025: Review: Chalet Degli Ulivi (visit in August 2025) Unfortunately, our visit was a disappointment – ​​even though we were really looking forward to it after reading so many good reviews. The service was completely overwhelmed: only one waiter was allowed to take orders, the others seemed to wander around aimlessly, only allowed to serve or clear away. The wait was correspondingly long – and even when our glasses were long empty, no one thought to ask if we wanted something else to drink. Our child's meal arrived 20 minutes before the adults', and our plates arrived one by one with an even longer delay. Nothing is more uncomfortable than when one person at a table is already finished while another is just getting started. The playground area was also a disappointment: there was a charge, although this wasn't clearly communicated anywhere – neither on the website nor on Facebook. We came specifically for that. Food? Mediocre. The pasta and pizza were okay, the meat was actually good – but when the wrong side dishes arrive (four sad potato slices for €5 instead of fries!) and the "mixed salad" consists only of green salad, without the fennel or cucumbers as advertised, you eventually lose patience. The ambiance is nice, yes. But a beautiful wooden house alone doesn't make a good restaurant. Anyone who relies on its view instead of organization, service, and honesty won't have satisfied customers in the long run. By the way, we then had to wait another 30 minutes for the bill – a worthy end to a frustrating evening. Conclusion: Nice restaurant, unfortunately with a lot of show and little substance. Three stars – only because the meat was really good.

31/05/2026: We went to this restaurant yesterday to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. What can I say? It's a very elegant restaurant, with attentive and polite staff and delicious food. If you're near Lecce, I highly recommend it!

29/05/2026: We originally wanted to dine at the restaurant across the street, but unfortunately we were unable to get a reservation, so we decided to try this restaurant instead. We ordered a combination of the four-course tasting menu (€50 per person) and were extremely disappointed with both the food quality and the overall experience. Shortly after the meal, we became sick. As a professional chef from California, I was particularly concerned about the quality and freshness of the seafood. The tuna showed signs of discoloration that suggested it was no longer fresh, and the shrimp tasted as if it had expired. It felt as though ingredients left over from the previous day were being served to guests. When our pasta course arrived, we decided not to continue with the meal and informed the staff that we wished to leave. Rather than addressing our concerns professionally, the owner approached us in an aggressive and unprofessional manner. Despite our dissatisfaction, I still paid half of the bill as a gesture of fairness. A restaurant’s response to customer concerns is just as important as the food itself. Instead of becoming confrontational, a simple apology and an effort to resolve the situation would have been appreciated. Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I have had in Italy, and I cannot recommend this restaurant.

07/04/2026: Beautiful place. The pizza was not only beautiful, but also delicious and perfectly cooked. The service was good and the staff very friendly. The restrooms were clean, and the bill was reasonable for what we ordered.

20/03/2026: We just had dinner here, and it exceeded our expectations! Every bite felt like we were transported to the alleys of Naples. A special mention goes to the "Provola e Pepe" (a cheese with a cartwheel). I highly recommend it, you won't regret it! The desserts are delicious, too. We'll definitely be back!

From the amazing olive oil they produce (Coratina) to the unbelievable organic wine... every single course has excellent ingredients and unusual pairings... a fragrant cigar offered at the end of the meal. What can I say... Everything is truly excellent. A welcoming and well-kept atmosphere. When things are made with love, it's useless... there's no one to hold on to! WITH - SU - GL - I - S - S - M - O!
