17/05/2026: Heads up, they don't serve pizza at lunchtime! Otherwise, the risotto was decent but sorely lacking in capocollo; however, the burrata was very good.

After half an hour of taking photos and strolling among olive trees over 1000 years old, we sat down at a table with a breathtaking view. Top-notch service, incredibly friendly people, and a truly exceptional chef. We've been to Italy many times and always love coming back, but for me, this place feels like the real Italy. Next time, we'll definitely stay overnight. This place and the entire team will always hold a special place in our hearts! We sat down at a table among olive trees over 1000 years old with a breathtaking view. Top-notch service, incredibly friendly people, and a truly exceptional chef. 03/06/2026: A cornerstone of the Cavallino and surrounding gastronomy scene. I didn't know it, but an uncle who's a regular customer took us there. The place is very beautiful inside, a little crowded with furnishings, but very much in keeping with the food offerings. Lots of tradition, but not the kind sold to tourists as tradition, the true Salento tradition. I obviously had the ncannulati with strong ricotta cheese, a truly powerful aroma, but pleasant on the palate. Don't be put off, I recommend trying it. Everything else was top-notch, from the appetizers to the service. If you're near Lecce, this is a must-try.

05/05/2026: A simple but truly delicious panzerotti. The panzerotti are fried fresh, crispy on the outside and generously filled on the inside. Fast service and fair prices. A bit of a wait during peak hours, but worth it.

20/05/2026: Wow! I have had some incredible meals in Italy but this was something special! I called ahead to make a reservation for a large party of 12 and they were so accommodating. The food was unbelievable! The Ciceri e Tria was the most amazing dish, along with the meatballs, veal and cod. I could not recommend this place more! Grazie!!

19/05/2026: Nice food. Deserta overpriced. We were waiting 15min for a check, went to queue and been told that you were after someone else, while we were waiting already very long. Good waiters.

07/06/2026: Nice place and friendly staff. The food was so-so; I ordered the recommended dish of the day: cuttlefish tagliatelle, very tough and cut too thick. It's a shame you eat with plastic cutlery!

03/06/2026: A very good and intimate restaurant on a side street. They were the only ones who explained the different types of meats and cheeses. The only downside was the plastic cutlery and paper plates.

03/05/2026: We especially enjoyed the octopus potato starter, but the pastas were also excellent! The restaurant is beautifully decorated with maritime artefacts and has a cozy rustic vibe. Staff were friendly and attentive.

15/04/2026: One of the most delicious pizzas in Taranto. I ordered pizza Napoli and it was very juicy and the toppings were added generously. The service and the menu are English-friendly. The atmosphere inside is very cozy and peaceful. They have big portions of pizza, so we took home what was left :)

12/04/2026: This family restaurant was recommended to us by our BnB host. It sees very little tourist traffic. We went two days in a row at 8PM, and the place was mostly empty. By 9PM, it got packed with locals. We went in looking for seafoods, and it delivered. Pasta with clams and mussels, pasta with tuna, risotto with seafood were all outstanding. The price is also very reasonable, especially for it's portion.

07/04/2026: The service was first-rate; we felt very comfortable, and the waiters were quick and efficient. The dishes were excellent, and the prices were reasonable. It was a pleasant and delicious time.

14/05/2026: A wonderful stopover; it's a shame we only stayed one night. The setting is magnificent, the welcome very warm, and the room, with its unique view of the oil filtration tanks in the basement, was very comfortable. The evening meal was very generous and delicious. Breakfast was extremely varied and, again, very plentiful. A truly beautiful place that is absolutely worth discovering.

04/10/2025: Incredibly friendly and service-oriented staff, very keen to ensure we had a good experience. The food was very good, but on the more expensive side and (compared to other restaurants in the area) small portions. However, the taste was incredible, and outweighed the quantity of food.
