18/11/2025: Found by chance but I absolutely recommend it for the quality of the food and the friendliness of the people. No waiting, perhaps due to the time change. The room is small.

11/01/2026: Truly an excellent restaurant in the square in Macugnaga. Excellent appetizers and first courses. The desserts are truly amazing. Reservations are recommended because the place isn't very big.

21/12/2025: We stumbled upon it by chance. We had a great meal, and the service was quick despite the restaurant being very busy. The only downside is the loud noise from guests' voices, a problem that will surely be resolved once the outdoor seating area opens in the summer. We'll definitely be back.

23/10/2025: Most bizarre place. I tend not to give negative reviews so will give a short but, in my view, fair assessment. The rooms are clean but that’s about it. The location is uphill and not very easy to find. The rooms are very basic and decor is highly questionable. Painted tiles on the floor and metal doors don’t add to the warmth of the place. We didn’t feel at ease there. Seems like a place from a horror movie, if I am honest (it may just us). The host was alright but not too friendly, at least to us. We had dinner there and the menu was surprisingly expensive for what you get. I didn’t realise it was a bit of a fine dining (but for that the place needs to work on ambience and at least have tablecloths) but the portions were quite tiny. Breakfast was alright but again not hing to fancy (not a single vegetable?)… I wish them well but won’t be returning for sure.

12/10/2025: Wonderful place! We chose it for our wedding. The cuisine is delicious, carefully crafted, and original. The rooms are perfect for an overnight stay. Nature, tranquility, and a beautiful view of Lake Maggiore. Ivan organized everything perfectly.

29/11/2025: We stopped for lunch after walking around the lake. Pros: fast service without a reservation. Cons: the food was prepared and—at least the mushroom-based one we had—of poor quality... the mushrooms were soupy and poorly blended with both the polenta and the tagliolini. The chocolate cake was average. I wouldn't go back.

07/02/2026: Excellent osteria near Domobianca. Excellent wine cellar. Delicious local appetizers like cured meats and cheeses, tasty risotto, and meat options, as well as a children's menu!

08/01/2026: The osteria is only accessible by car via a narrow, sometimes impassable road, but it's definitely worth it. The people who run it are truly wonderful, and the food is high-quality and well-prepared. The location is well-kept and the village is very charming.

15/01/2026: Sensational. This word perfectly sums up today's experience. We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance in a charming alleyway in the winding streets of Malesco. Despite not feeling very hungry, we left completely satisfied after a three-course meal. We received a warm welcome and were given a tour of the daily menu in English, followed by an inquiry about our wine preferences. The appetizer, first course, and dessert were truly exceptional! The portions were just right for our modest appetites. The wine and digestif offered were also excellent! Our visit to the restaurant was worth every penny and definitely a highlight of our vacation!
