14/08/2024: On a very hot and very busy day, the owner welcomed us (us, a couple with a stroller and two dogs) super kindly. He immediately made us feel very welcome. First he found us a place that had space for the little girl and then he provided fresh water for the dogs. Our lunch was very good and the service guys were very kind. I highly recommend it.

17/08/2024: Undoubtedly a place where you can take a break, whether you're passing through or not... it's a shame it's not closer because I personally would happily go back! young and very friendly staff, who are a reflection of the owners from whom we understand that whoever stops is not just a customer but a person! and who is treated as such, with attention, courtesy and humanity! very nice place in my opinion, nice and clean.. and the food is no different! in short, you can see that there is the desire and the success of the commitment to this activity! plus, personal note: the owner is a biker brother! and he proved it with facts... even though his two wheels were parked there! Thank you!

08/06/2024: Mi sono chiesto: a cosa serve la mia recensione? Personale cortese, luogo (un po' in salita) ma facile da raggiungere, si mangia bene, e si paga il giusto. Che cavolo scrivo a fare? Le altre recensioni gia' "parlano" da sole. Io ti consiglio un giretto per mangiare al "Rifugio" . Se sei un pretenzioso e ti trovi male ...il problema sei tu... :-) Ah dimenticavo: non sono andato in bagno... ma immagino perfetto anche quello. :-)

02/05/2024: Pranzo festivo con amici dove, lo dico subito, abbiamo mangiato benissimo! nonostante il locale fosse affollato, siamo stati veramente bene, il chiasso della convivialità è passato in secondo piano vista la gentilezza del personale e l'accoglienza di tutto lo staff...cibi di lago e montagna perfettamente cucinati e serviti...tornerò sicuramente, lo consiglio vivamente a tutte quelle persone che amano la nostra Cucina piemontese ..a presto! Grazie

16/12/2023: Abbiamo pranzato in questo accogliente ristorante e siamo rimasti piacevolmente colpiti dall'alta qualità, professionalità, gentilezza, attenzione al cliente. Le preparazioni sono di alto livello, i gusti equilibrati e la presentazione dei piatti è molto curata. Noi abbiamo provato tartare, risotto e un dolce: tutto eccezionale! La carta dei vini è ben fornita. Siamo rimasti molto colpiti anche dall'attenzione e disponibilità dimostrate verso la mia necessità di gluten free. Mi è stato portato del pane glute free (oltretutto caldo), cosa che accade molto molto raramente. Non è il "solito ristorante", ma una coccola da concedersi appena possibile. Prezzi adeguati al livello. Torneremo senz'altro.

10/12/2023: Seconda volta, prima a giugno e poi ieri. Il personale ampiamente competente e disponibile sa consigliare al meglio. Là tartare al tartufo, buonissima. Ravioli del plin eccezionali. Dolce alle castagne buonissimo accompagnato dal passito. Il tutto accompagnato da 2 bottiglie di Prunent. Biscotti e panettone offerti con il caffè.

18/08/2024: Very nice atmosphere and a great terrace in the summer to spend a long time outside in the evening. The menu is divided into three menus, where everyone is sure to find something that suits them. We were absolutely satisfied with our four-course menu for EUR 85 and didn't regret skipping the six-course menu (EUR 110), as the portions were still quite large. The service was very friendly and accommodating and the food didn't take long to arrive. Of course it's a little expensive, but at least in our case it was justified.

15/08/2024: This hotel is a hidden gem almost in Lake Maggiore. With many rooms having beautiful terraces, and a breakfast room with fantastic view. The most beautiful experience is the restaurant. If you are staying in Stresa and want to dine, they organise boat after hours. One way is covered by them I believe. I have stayed here twice and loved my experience, both the food and the atmosphere. I have also dined here 3 times already and highly recommend to try the lobster pasta. It’s an absolute must.

22/07/2024: Very friendly staff and delicious dishes. The location in the valley is quiet and welcoming and furthermore it is halfway between Switzerland and Lake Maggiore, the most visited places. Recommended restaurant!

18/08/2024: Typical and very characteristic tavern in the historic center of Domodossola....excellent dishes and extremely courteous staff. Highly recommended for dog owners for the space and the attention that the staff dedicates to our friends. Without asking they proceeded to bring a bowl of fresh water to the table for our Byron.....well done!!!!!

16/08/2024: Excellent tavern! Good value for money. Went for dinner and got a platter of cold cuts and tagliatelle with venison ragout. Super recommended. In the atmosphere, quiet and pleasant.

15/08/2024: When we arrived at the bar, a blackboard showed us that it closed at 12. Current time was 11.15... upon entering we were informed that the bar was closing because they had cleaning to do... as if a shop had opening hours at 12 and closed at 11.30 to clean ... crazy.. no comment

23/08/2024: A supposedly "polite" lady forced us to eat two starters, a first course and a second course. Telling him that it was a lot of food, and that we only wanted a starter, he invited us to leave. On the other hand, the food is nothing exceptional. Very bad experience.

18/08/2024: Thank you for having us in your place and for accommodating our late check-in. Thank you also for your kindness in bringing my husband and me to the bus station, it's because of tunnel maintenance we have to bus 🚌 instead of 🚅 to our next travel. I love how accommodating the owner is, and I love how they accommodate and entertain the guests personally on breakfast and check-in. The room is clean but there is no aircon, and don't bring big luggage 🧳, our mistake because we brought big luggage and had to carry it to our room. Thank you for making our Domodossola stay memorable.

11/05/2024: Good selection of different piadine. Good prices for the drinks too. We waited quite a long time, but the store was full. The piadines tasted good. It was a bit of a shame that there was no rocket available today and was replaced with lamb's lettuce.

10/05/2024: without words: after 40 minutes of waiting the piadinas arrived which weren't great and made us miss the train.
