11/04/2026: Excellent place! We highly recommend this charming restaurant on the lovely Piazza Garibaldi by the lake. We had a wonderful meal and a fantastic time. The dishes are refined, original, and delicious, all at a very reasonable price compared to what you'd find in Intra. It was delicious! The service was also impeccable, as was the attention to detail in the restaurant. We will definitely be back. Grazie mille! 👌🙏😊

09/04/2026: We had lunch at this restaurant on our way back from the hike to the dam and the lake. The restaurant is located in a spectacular setting, nestled in a picturesque village. All the dishes were delicious. Asparagus with creamed peas, sprouts, and a crispy egg dipped in cornmeal—very balanced and with a distinctive flavor. Penne alla Formazzina was very flavorful. Pratahapla was delicious, served with a fresh, crunchy salad that perfectly complemented this rich dish. Finally, the strudel with custard was also excellent.

27/02/2026: I didn’t have the chance to try the rooms, but the panorama alone adds enormous value to the experience. Visiting at the end of February meant snow all around and a beautiful sun that made it perfect to sit outside and enjoy refined local products, carefully prepared, in great company and with wonderful hospitality. A huge thank you to Matteo, Francesca, and their team for such a memorable experience. It was truly the highlight of my vacation in Italy. I will definitely be back.

06/04/2026: For Easter Monday, another girl and I, after a long walk, decided to stop for lunch at the restaurant: Lago Pineta. What can I say? They told us they didn't take reservations, and almost everyone had already booked. The first table available wasn't an hour later, and when we returned to the restaurant, we had to wait even longer for the staff—not a free table because everyone had already left. Furthermore, the staff was really rude; no one even showed up to take our orders, so we had to get up. I've never had anything like this happen to me, especially since we're usually very easy-going, but here everything was really over the top. I'd like to say that at least the view and the food make up for it, but that's not the case.

14/04/2026: Returned after years, finding a "colder" atmosphere, less empathy. Tiny tables with barely room for anything. Not to mention the prices: a shank with a side dish cost €22, hoping it would be veal, but in the end it was a 300g pork shank with bone and a small salad (which I asked for because otherwise they had potatoes). The shank costs about €4 per kg. The very tough pork Milanese at €19 is another rip-off. Okay, it's a place for tourists who know nothing about cooking. I understand why it was packed at noon once; lunch was good and reasonably priced. Today, only 2 couples.

20/09/2025: A very nice terrace on the first floor, and very friendly and charming service. The fresh pasta and fish dishes are particularly good. The portions are generous; it's hard to manage three full courses. Ideally, therefore, starters and side dishes are shared. We had the eggplant timbale and the mussels as starters, and both were very aromatic. The kitchen also prepares meat excellently. A particularly positive aspect is that many wines are available by the glass, so you can try more. We enjoyed the hospitality several times.

03/02/2026: I ordered takeout. The pasta with meat sauce arrived white with two pieces of meat thrown in, overcooked and tasteless. The pad thai was much heavier than usual, and the fries were rubbery and undercooked. I've never had this happen at a restaurant; in fact, everything was always good quality. Quite disappointed. Definitely better to go for aperitivo.

The dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients, and you can taste the care taken in every course: from appetizers to desserts, everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The portions are generous, and the value for money is more than satisfactory, which will definitely make us want to return! Well done! Keep up the good work.

19/11/2025: Excellent cooperative with more than affordable prices and flavors that exceed my budget. It's the first time I've been served two first courses, with no choice, and two second courses, also with no choice, for a fixed price. The arrangement was unexpected, but truly appreciated.

13/09/2025: We stayed in this historic hotel and were truly enchanted! Our room directly overlooked the splendid Borromean Islands: a dreamlike panorama, perfect for a romantic getaway. The atmosphere is welcoming and charming, with a touch of old-world elegance that makes everything even more special. A special thanks to the owner, who was incredibly kind and attentive: she recommended a truly delightful evening meal and even arranged a little surprise for my husband—a gesture we greatly appreciated and which made our stay even more memorable.

27/12/2025: This restaurant was our home for 4 hours!!! The food and wine were honest and absolutely delicious. The service was warm and caring. The rabbit and cavallo were definitely the family favorites. Plan to come early before the sun sets to thoroughly enjoy your summer evening.

13/12/2025: Everything was top-notch. Andrea is a great gentleman, and as soon as you walk in the door, you feel at home. Fresh food, excellent trio of heifers, great company, and impeccable service. 10/11/2025: Spurred by the good reviews, wanting to explore the area, we stopped at this place. The location is very beautiful and quiet, and the lady who served us was very kind. There's no standard menu; the owner (very kind and friendly) checks what's available. The charcuterie board (homemade, the lard is amazing) and mountain cheeses are highly recommended. The agnolotti (definitely homemade) with gorgonzola and walnuts are excellent, as are the sliced ​​steak and the stew with taragna polenta, delicious like few others I've tasted. The house wine is good. We ordered two mixed platters, one first course, three second courses, water, a can and a half of red wine, one dessert, three coffees, and the kindly offered homemade grappa, for a more than reasonable final bill of €109. A shout out also to Rufus, the awesome pocket-sized dog who handles the reception :-) Thanks, and see you next time.

18/03/2026: We've known and frequented it for years. First and foremost, I find it to be in an enchanting location with a breathtaking view. The place is rustic, welcoming, and exudes history and simplicity, with beautiful wooden furnishings and mountain memories. I find the owner's service almost always extremely courteous and kind. The dishes, cooked simply but with genuine, top-quality products, are always delicious and plentiful. The price is more than reasonable, with excellent value. They welcome our four-legged friends. Suitable for couples, groups, even with children. Highly recommended.
