Excellent lunch. We grabbed some food, sliced it, and they brought us four different types of pickles. Then we chose polenta and braised meat (exquisite, to say the least). Snails and tripe. Excellent service, friendly and helpful staff. The refuge has a spectacular view. And if you're feeling a little heavy after lunch... there are loungers on the lawn where you can relax, with a wonderful view of the mountains.

I knew about this restaurant but had never been there. What can I say?! Who could leave you there?!
We had lunch on the veranda with a beautiful view and a welcome breeze! We were greeted with warmth and friendliness, the same warmth that accompanied us throughout the meal! The food was traditional and carefully prepared, using top-notch local ingredients! The service was very fast despite the crowds.
At the end, we were even offered a wide selection of amaros!
We will definitely be back because we felt right at home!
Thank you for everything!

I celebrated a birthday lunch here with friends, and I couldn't have asked for anything better.
Beyond the charming location and the breathtaking view from the refuge, what truly struck me was the incredible welcome given to those of us who, like me, have celiac disease.
Because we were a large group, the atmosphere was cheerful and lively, but the staff managed to maintain meticulous attention to my needs.
Having given advance notice, I found the utmost availability and expertise: the chef, waitresses, and all the staff were exquisitely friendly.
Their strong point? Safety.
My courses were always served on separate plates to avoid cross-contamination:
* Appetizer: Excellent cured meats, pickles, and Russian salad, accompanied by gluten-free bread and certified cold cuts.
* First Course: Gluten-free fusilli topped with fragrant porcini mushrooms and a delicious ragù.
* Second Course: A true feast! Venison, braised beef, sausage, and Bruscitt, with polenta, baked potatoes, and melted cheese. All excellent.
* Dessert: A delicious panna cotta, made especially for me.
Eating at such a high altitude in such serenity, surrounded by friends and pampered by such attentive staff, made my birthday unforgettable.
A special thanks to the chef and waitresses for their kindness: here, the quality of the cuisine goes hand in hand with a big heart.
Highly recommended for everyone, but a real treat for celiacs! ⛰️✨

From a Catholic vacation in Domodossola... I found this refuge through my daughter. We had a wonderful time from start to finish. The girl who served us was very kind and knows her job very well. Even the mom who works in the kitchen is a super cook. We had two types of polenta: one with melted cheese, with samples for three of sausage, local ragù, porcini mushrooms, and venison stew. A slice of gorgonzola was a must. To finish, we also had the homemade dessert (compliments!!!)
We ate wonderfully!!! We can't wait to go back. The price was right and highly recommended!!!
