La Casera In Verbania

Went there twice during our stay in Verbania. Delicious meat and cheese platter, good wine and mood. Loved it! The panettone-foie gras sandwich is to die for!! The boutique inside has tons of local products. Totally recommend!

La Casera La Casera is located right in the heart of Intra. La Casera is a combination of grocery store and restaurant. It has a wonderful atmosphere, embodying Italian lifestyle. The selection of cured meats and cheeses is immense. A huge variety! The ambiance is lovely. You can sit outside and enjoy the view of the square. The interior is also very pleasant, with a friendly, family atmosphere. The staff is very welcoming. La Casera is a must-visit; you simply can't walk past it. Highly recommended!

An excellent aperitif-lunch. Despite being fully booked, they found us a table for two, which was truly kind. We then ordered a selection of cheeses, foie gras, and a provolone and prosciutto roll. Two glasses of Franciacorta completed the aperitif. Everything was delicious and of high quality. Congratulations!

A must-see when in Verbania. A feast for the eyes and the palate. A very large selection of sausages and cheeses, spices, and olive oils. You can also sample all the delicacies on-site.

A great place for a snack any time of day. Be warned, the place is often packed, so reservations are recommended.

Having heard about it for so long, I decided to give it a try... guys, in my opinion, it's highly overrated... or at least, we ordered two different platters of cold cuts and I can assure you that the quality is very average... not to mention the portions and the plating... in a bar where I pay 18 euros for a platter, I expect, first of all, to be plated to perfection, perhaps on a wooden cutting board and not on a square plate... the portions are meager and, as already mentioned, the cold cuts are something you can easily find at the supermarket... the bread they bring to the table is good and there's a good selection of wines... a wide selection of products to buy, but only for tourists because the prices are crazy... near the checkout there's a basket of tomatoes for 15 euros a kilo, you decide!

This place cant be easily explained in words. The whole time while sitting and tasting great meat and specialities, combined with wine, I felt like little chef Remy in Ratatouille when he combined few tastes and felt the explosion of them. This place will stimulate your taste buds and all the sensations in a way only the best products made with love can. If I should plan a trip to Laggo di Maggiore, Intra is "must visit" - if nothing else, just to spend time in La Casera and try different things on their menu.
