I recommend this place for the quality of the food (everything is delicious), but also for the dedication of the owners, the kindness with which they explain each dish in detail, and the customer service, which I found truly excellent. Highly recommended 🌟

Spurred by the excellent reviews, we decided to book a table at this trattoria. It's a family-run restaurant, not very large, but this allows the host to pay much more attention to his diners. Exquisite dishes and generous portions, all locally sourced. If you find us near Verbania, you absolutely must book!

Welcoming We ate typical cheeses, homemade yet elegant first courses. Unique meat dishes, like the donkey taplucco, a real discovery. The side dish of cabbage was delicious in its simplicity. Excellent wine to accompany it. The atmosphere was welcoming and discreet. The service was competent and engaging. An experience to be repeated. Quality!

17/05/2026: The pizzas were excellent, the dough was superb. A must-try if you're in the area.
15/05/2026: Honestly, the pizzas are excellent; the chef is a true magician! The welcome, however, really leaves much to be desired. We were promised 5-10 minutes for two takeout pizzas, and in the end, we waited over 30 minutes due to a mistake by one of the three staff members. A bit of a wait isn't a problem if the staff is friendly and does their job well. Yet here, we didn't even receive a word of apology, nothing. It's a real shame to ruin the pizza chef's excellent work with such an attitude.

Pizzeria La Rondine

02/05/2026: I honestly think the restaurant has all the makings of one of the most charming and professional establishments on Isola Superiore, as well as in the entire Borromean Islands area. However, while the staff is prompt, extremely professional, and quick in serving guests, I believe that when the place is crowded, it feels the inevitable emotional pressure caused by the accumulation of requests for food and drink. Unfortunately, during my stay with my partner on May 2, 2026, I didn't have the opportunity to dine at "La Rondine" due to a misunderstanding that could easily be resolved. Nevertheless, I can say that, as a former professional (with many years of experience) in the restaurant service industry, I really empathized with the waiters, especially the affable and lively young man with sunglasses and a long beard. Although I offered to come back in about 40 minutes to try and find a table, he abruptly interrupted our conversation and (rightly) went back to serving customers. Although I intended to return, as I promised, I faced my partner's disapproval over the incident and immediately agreed to return to Stresa. That said, I hope this review can be a positive starting point for improving an already excellent table service. I recommend investing in mindfulness and emotional intelligence courses for staff, so they can experience customer service in a pleasant and rewarding way.
23/04/2026: Spectacular restaurant location overlooking the water on the beautiful island of Pescatori / Stresa and the food quality and variety excellent! Enjoyed the veal and grilled vegetables with vino blanca, iced in a pasta can! Check out their store that has family-owned FABULOUS olive oils, balsamic, spices and more. Sarah speaks awesome English and her knowledge and attitude matches. I actually made a video as I was so impressed ❤️🇮🇹
