30/11/2025: The restaurant urgently needs the help of an interior designer: the spaces are reminiscent of a typical suburban pizzeria (which it is, in fact) stuck in the 1990s and lack stylistic coherence. An effective ventilation system is even more necessary: ​​as soon as you step inside, a lingering and unpleasant cooking smell accompanies the entire meal. On the food front, despite ordering fried calamari, we received a mixed fried fish (not exactly ideal for those who can't stand bones, even the smallest ones). It must be said, however, that the dish was decent. The gnocchi al Bettelmat were delicious, but let down by the sloppy plating. The bill, however, is decidedly perplexing: two first courses, a second course, two desserts, three coffees, a liter of wine in a carafe (€10, the same as a good vintage Prosecco!), and a water, for a total of over €80. A price more in line with restaurants of much higher reputation, certainly not with a pizzeria that doesn't offer pizza on Sundays. The service was generally acceptable, although the waitress seemed impatient when our first course selection took just half a minute. In short, the bill was worthy of Valdobbiadene, but the experience was still like buying wine from a carafe. Without substantial improvements, I wouldn't recommend it at this time.

08/01/2026: We returned to this restaurant after a couple of years, and it didn't disappoint. The dishes we selected were all delicious and carefully prepared, with appropriate portions and quality ingredients. The place is quiet and the service is friendly. It's just a shame the prices are a bit high... €4 for a cover charge, €4 for a 75cl bottle of water, and €3 for a coffee seem a bit excessive.

01/01/2026: We couldn't have asked for a better end-of-year dinner. The service was welcoming, professional, and friendly. The dishes were perfectly presented and excellent in flavor and combinations. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, with some background music. We were able to choose our own pace for the various courses and were able to wait at the table until midnight, greeted with a glass of wine to toast and a taste of cotechino with lentils. What can I say...let's toast to you, thank you for a wonderful evening!

17/03/2026: Large indoor restaurant with a spacious outdoor seating area. Open on Mondays! Delicious and large pizzas between 12 pm and €15. However, there is a cover charge of €2 per person. This is unusual for us.

15/03/2026: Anyone complaining is really nitpicking. We hadn't made a reservation and still got a table. We found the atmosphere lovely, and the service was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious.

14/02/2026: After a 30-minute walk through the snow, we reached the refuge. The hostess was very kind and patient, especially considering we were traveling with two children. The place is very well-kept, welcoming, and warm. The food was plentiful and excellent. We tried a first course, followed by polenta and venison, and dessert.

02/02/2026: A truly wonderful surprise, a spontaneous, pleasant, open welcome that makes you feel welcome. We had a really good time and would love to come back!!!

08/11/2025: I ordered pasta to take away and when I opened the box, I realized it was a Carrefour ready-made meal (they didn't even bother to change the packaging: see photo). All this for the modest sum of €16 for two pasta dishes. It's absolutely outrageous!

14/11/2025: Excellent bar for breakfast. We had two delicious chocolate croissants; they have several different types. You can also stop for lunch. I also saw some nice wines. Next time we'll try the aperitivo. Very friendly staff. 👍

02/11/2025: A perfect restaurant on the main street. Very family-friendly and absolutely top-notch in every aspect. Everything was more than perfect! The service was super friendly and incredibly competent. Unfortunately, you don't find anything like this in Switzerland. And the prices are such that you'll want to come back again and again. Even the chef and the pizzaiolo gave us a quick wave! It's an 11 out of 10!!! Grazie mille!!!

10/08/2025: For a couple of years now, it's been our go-to lunch spot whenever we pass through Domodossola. Always good food, friendly and knowledgeable staff, a pleasure to chat with, and always happy to offer tips on shops or places to visit. A top rating!

15/03/2025: A lovely evening with Wally Gators and Juda's Kiss. ​​Before the concert, a delicious pizza and draft beer. The venue has a beautiful stage, designed for live music. Excellent acoustics, and a skilled sound engineer. A casual spot for a lovely evening with friends and good, strictly live music. Very easy to get to, with plenty of parking.

14/02/2025: We went for dinner on a Friday night to see the band MalaMente. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were friendly and professional. I had the ganassino with mashed potatoes, which was delicious. The pizza was also good and easy to digest. Great music and fun. Recommended.

02/11/2025: Absolutely loved the food. High Quality. However as a tourist we felt less welcome. Also the main course was served while we were still eating our first course. This is just not done. We would like the enjoy the evening and each course!

01/11/2025: I had lunch there three days in a row, and I have to say the pizza, meat, and desserts were all delicious. The service was kind and friendly, and the place was relaxing and convivial. Highly recommended.

14/12/2025: Historic mountain setting, once serving the now-defunct ski slopes. Now a vassal of the Auxologico hospital in Piancavallo Oggebbio (VBO). Located in the heart of the Val Grande, it could be the starting and ending point for excellent and relaxing walks. The traditional food is average. Prices are just above average.

14/10/2025: I've been to the Grotto St. Anna a few times over the past few years, but each time I felt less hospitable and less welcomed as a guest. The sign on the gate in German stating that only drinks are served with food isn't exactly a welcome – it could certainly be addressed differently. And today, the absolute low point. As always, we walked to the grotto and unfortunately found ourselves in front of a locked gate. Even though Google and the website said it should be open from 12 p.m., we waited in vain for 40 minutes in front of the locked door before heading back. No "closed" sign, no voicemail, no information... and we weren't the only ones; they probably didn't need it.

14/10/2025: Avoid this restaurant at all costs! Totally unprofessional! We found ourselves standing in front of closed doors this afternoon, even though Google said the restaurant was open. There's no indication on the website that the restaurant is closed today. Can't be reached by phone either!
