10/09/2025: Always excellent! We go there often and they never fail to impress. Good food in a warm, friendly atmosphere.

06/09/2025: Two platters of cold cuts, a small cup of Russian salad, a small cup of beans and onions, two tagliolini with venison, a dessert, half a liter of house red wine, half a liter of sparkling water, a coffee: €58. Cash ONLY.

09/09/2025: The food (as well as the drinks) arrived relatively quickly, and it was also very tasty! (The lasagna had ham in it, which we found a bit difficult to get used to.) The service: Everyone was very friendly, and it wasn't a problem at all that we didn't speak Italian and only had elementary English. 😉 The four of us got a seat on the terrace. It was nice, but with a little more creativity and different tables, they could achieve much more, and it would attract more guests. Likewise, the restroom upstairs is in dire need of renovation.

14/11/2025: Excellent bar for breakfast. We had two delicious chocolate croissants; they have several different types. You can also stop for lunch. I also saw some nice wines. Next time we'll try the aperitivo. Very friendly staff. 👍

24/08/2025: Tried it today for lunch. The welcome was excellent. The mixed antipasti were delicious and varied, something for everyone (pickles, cold cuts, omelette, etc.). The mushroom risotto was superb, prepared with a real broth and you could taste it; it was perfectly cooked. The polenta was tender, with braised beef. The desserts were excellent (not mass-produced). Excellent value for money.

31/07/2025: Very good pizza, very kind and helpful staff; I recommend the extra large pizza if you're really hungry; the seafood appetizer is also good. The only downside is that the place is a bit dark, but that's just my personal opinion.

06/11/2025: The stars are for the view. I went during the week in autumn, aware that it was closed. But you're not even allowed on the viewing platform, which is simply outrageous! And the people at the tourist office agreed with me! Overnight stays aren't even possible unless you're a large group, of course... so I went around the fence on the left to get to the platform...

04/11/2025: 0 stars. If the lodge is closed, you're not even allowed on the viewing platform. It's closed, video-monitored, and they threaten you with fines. They don't deserve any guests. Only in Italy do things like this happen. What a shame, lost people...

04/11/2025: Centrally located hotel, very close to the lake and within walking distance of the station for those arriving by train. Unfortunately, the bed cover in the room we were assigned was falling off and the mattress cover was missing. The bathroom had no bidet, which was another major drawback. When we requested a replacement room, we were unfortunately told they were fully booked. I recommend including photos of rooms like the one we were assigned on Booking.com and also include the option of bathrooms without bidets. The included breakfast was pleasant and served at the table, not a buffet, but there was a decent selection.

29/10/2025: Luckily, we only booked the hotel for one night. The room was okay for an old building, but very noisy. A major disappointment was the breakfast, which was a sugar rush. It consisted of just cake, two rusks with Nutella and jam, juice, and coffee – that was it. I cannot recommend this hotel.

10/11/2025: I ordered two pizzas for takeout. They arrived home in just 1 minute to heat up, and then they were simply exceptional. Perfectly cooked, not too salty, and well seasoned. Absolutely top-notch. I'll be back. Compliments to the pizza chef.

20/10/2025: I'd like to share a lively evening spent pleasantly at this lovely restaurant in Vanzone. We dined on excellent pizzas recommended by the waiter, who was able to recommend amazing pizzas based on our tastes. I'd also add that he works professionally and fuels the atmosphere around the table with a healthy euphoria. TOP quality. Very good value, and the location is simple and clean. We'll be back soon. PS: I really compliment the waiter because it's not just a simple job and he made me want to learn this profession. BRAVO BRAVO, and keep him close to build customer loyalty.

19/10/2025: Better to give it a wide berth Our visit to this restaurant was unfortunately disappointing in several respects. A pork dish we ordered was served undercooked twice. Only on the third attempt was the meat fully cooked – however, the repeated reheating made it dry and unappealing. The children's schnitzels seemed to have been industrially prepared, as they were all identically shaped and very tough. The fish plate consisted of small pieces of fish with a lot of skin and hardly any meat, heavily fried and coated in a thick, floury coating – tasteless. Another dish wasn't even cooked but still appeared on the bill. The staff didn't respond to this with understanding or an apology, but rather with a discussion. The pork, which we complained about, was also charged in full. The portions were small overall. It was obvious that ready-made products were being used; fresh herbs or attractive presentation were nowhere to be found. The service was slow, unfriendly, and made little effort to make the experience pleasant. The owner was present, but he acted hectic and unfriendly, didn't greet us upon entering or leaving the restaurant, and generally didn't give a professional impression. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences we've ever had. Therefore, we unfortunately cannot recommend it. ... Better avoid Our visit to this restaurant was completely disappointing, despite various expectations. A fried meat dish was served twice, not completely cooked. Only the third time around, the meat was cooked perfectly, but due to the repeated heating, it was already dry and tasteless. The cotton fabric for children also has industrial products: it has the same shape and is made to last for a long time. The piatto di fish era composto da piccoli pezzi with molta pelle e poca polpa, fritti in modo eccessivo with a panatura spessa e farinosa - the gusto era tutt'altro che soddisfacente. The other piano is not ready for communication, but it also appears in the account. When you are notified by the notary, the personal person does not respond to the complaint, but he has initiated a discussion. Also the piano of the Maiale, regardless of the nostra lamentela, is added per intero. Le porzioni erano generalmente piccole. Sembravano uses these products quickly, without the aromatic freshness of the heritage and the presentation of the piatti. The service is always long, scortese and poco attento a rendere piacevole l'esperienza. The proprietario era presente, ma si è mostrato scontroso, agitato e non ci ha né accolti né salutati all’uscita. In general, there is no such thing as a professional impression. The whole thing is that the experience of the restaurant is very delicious and can be enjoyed in May. Purtroppo, not possiamo raccomandare this locale.

05/09/2025: A wonderful place in the heart of the picturesque monastery complex. The food is very good, and the prices are reasonable. However, the unfriendliness of the staff, even when speaking Italian, is a real imposition.

12/09/2025: We went with our grandparents and children for a snack a few weeks ago on a fairly cool, rainy day. We asked for hot chocolate, and the staff responded, "But it's summer...". I replied, "I'm in the mountains on a day like that." A snack with kids, summer or not, a hot chocolate is a must. The result? No chocolate. Anyway, we ordered something else, including a coffee and a cappuccino. We paid about €40, and I noticed that the cappuccino was listed as the price on the displayed table at €1.80, which was perfectly fair, and the coffee at €2.00. We pointed out that there might have been a mistake, but we were told that the coffee, which was listed at €1.30 on the displayed table, had been charged at the table service rate. I should point out that we weren't given a menu, and I didn't check to see if one was there, so I can't say whether the price on the menu indicated the €2 coffee price or the table service surcharge. But if you spend 40 euros, do you add 70 cents to the coffee for table service???

22/08/2025: We had lunch at this fantastic place. The food was excellent, the service impeccable, and the price was very fair. Convenient parking and close to the chairlift. Highly recommended.
